The Museum of TCM proposed by MUDA-Architects, locates in southern area of Pengzhou where the only route leading to the urban area passes by and the TCM Park starts to spread. Due to its dominant location, the museum is required to be designed as a prominent symbol visually and spiritually in order to break the stereotype of expanding the industrial park and promote the industry development in an innovative way.

Team Occur Architecture & Associates Motif Landscape When we measure the city, the scale should stay with the people, fitting the needs, actions and feelings of the people. Bulky buildings blur not only the skyline but also the right of use, blocking human interaction. So here in an old industrial park area, where the surroundings are. messy, we leverage simple materials, odd and even numbers of criss-cross pillars to set up 6m or 9m height of floors, paying tribute to the discourse of common ground in La Biennale di Venezia in 2012. The visual scale can be customized, and in the messy surrounds it’s like a yeast or a mirror that truly show the differences in real life.

Qingyun Valley Visitor Center Project Commissioner Henan Shikeli Tourism Creator Domain Architects The most popular type of tourist centers in recent China is a large building on a large square. Rejecting this model along with its boring experience and impact on the environment, we move the site to the pond and brake the programs into a cluster of small volumes ‘floating’ on a platform elevated from the water. The volumes ‘float’ upward or ‘sink’ down according to the degrees of openness of their programs.
