The Rock
Ancient Rock of millions of years Solid mute of centuries Majestic mountains parted in two By the river of life When confronted with such nature And the sun blinding my eyes I enter an oneiric state Where I find amazed muses Enchanting me with their beauties The encounter is unique and I fall in love with poetry With hubris eyes and with jealousy The other muses drop their robes Pregnant by inspiration Sweetness of the mind Their brain children rejoice Art, Music and Dance I see the road traveled And find myself praying to God
for Carlos Campos
I pray for our friendship And when the sun is covered by a cloud I can see! I see a rock! God has many ways to present himself In the Rock I see omnipresence and strength And when I think of you In my skull a blank paper Where I can paint and write pictures of my fantasies Oh God! Will I ever see you again? I don’t know I only know that my blank paper is getting filled By a sacred forest Beautiful and Celestial forest From where masterpieces are born I see the light I see the truth I see the life Rocks, Mountains, Rivers and Valleys Blinding sunrays! Rock of hope Rock of life! Morning chants Of birds in choir Let the sun arise A new day is coming
