know droog Co-founded and directed by curator and author Renny Ramakers, design company Droog creates cutting edge products, projects and events around the world in collaboration with designers, clients and partners. Droog has been pioneering new directions for design since the early nineties, redefining international notions of luxury in design. Droog is situated in the heart of Amsterdam - at its own revolutionary hospitality concept Hôtel Droog – and has a store in Hong Kong. Today, Droog continues to develop new concepts and scenarios for products, spaces, events and communication tools. Beauty and experience with minimal means, always with a twist and respect for the existing. Not so much less is more, as less and more.

Family vases

by Studio Droog Z Corp 3D printing technology 16 cm x 16 cm x 37 cm

This traditional Chinese vases are not Made in China. Studio Droog copies the copycat and translates the essence of Chinese culture in a literal way. The form is a fusion of four original Famille vases from the 17th and 18th century empires. For the Family vase series the colours of the original Famille noire, verte, rose and jaune vases have been digitally calculated and distilled into four exact colour gradients. A set of modern 3D printed vases to fit the contemporary emperor.
