: By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. distinguish concepts of language learning needs correctly for work and/or study purposes (C4), 2. organise the different types of language learning needs into appropriate categories (CTPS, TS) 3. analyse the learning needs of target groups of learners in specific contexts of language use (A4) 4. construct generalised needs profiles of target learners for language syllabus design (P5)
