Department Preview: CARDIOLOGY SERVICES About the Department Department Overview
The Cardiology Department is organized and staffed to provide cardiac diagnostic testing and Cardiac rehabilitation services to both inpatients and scheduled outpatients. The purpose is to provide premier noninvasive as well as invasive cardiac diagnostic services to assist in the diagnoses of cardiac disorders and/or to determine cardiac function. The cardiac rehabilitation program encompasses a multidisciplinary approach to provide education, psychological support, assistance with dietary modification, and exercise guidance to patients with heart disease.
Department Staffing/Positions
The Department is staffed with ACLS certified Registered Nurses, nonlicensed technicians trained in specialties, Echosonographers, Radiation Technicians with certification and Administrative Assistants. Select scheduled testing is performed with Cardiologists and Physicians to complete the service team.
Scheduling & Shifts
Our hours of operation are: Technical Staff: EKG testing is available 7AM 8PM Monday through Friday, and 7AM 3PM on weekends Echocardiogram Testing is available 7AM 7 PM Monday through Friday and 712 Noon (Inpatients only) on weekends and Holidays. Holter Monitoring is available 7AM 3PM Monday through Friday Nursing: Stress Testing is available 7:30AM 4PM Monday through Thursday and 8AM 6PM Friday. On call for Saturday Observation Testing. Cardiac Rehabilitation offers classes 7AM 6:30PM Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 7AM 3PM Tuesday and Thursday Pacemaker Evaluation is available on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 8AM 3PM Our department is located in the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus.

The department is surrounded by programs such as the Health Awareness Center, the Diabetes Center, Physical Rehabilitation and the Fitness Center.
