Before he could go on to complete his medical studies and begin his career as a surgeon, Dr. Thomas Taylor needed to build a foundation of knowledge on which he could build. After leaving Preston Catholic College, he made the decision to move to Scotland so that he could study at the University of Edinburgh. He completed his undergraduate studies there before moving to Manchester.
