MEETING AT THE AIRPORT
For trips involving air, the airfare is included in the trip price. The customer is responsible for arriving at the airport for departure (unless Kelly Tours is providing transportation), and will be met at the arriving airport on day one of the tour. While airfare is included in the package price, the price may vary depending on availability and should you wish to fly from an alternative airport other than Savannah airport. Passengers are responsible for all airline checked bag(s) fee. Due to airline scheduling, some trips involving flights may have an early morning departure and/or a late arrival time back in Savannah.
SPECIAL RATE LODGING IN SAVANNAH
If the Savannah departure point is not convenient for meeting the trip on the day of departure (or if a Charleston pickup is not available), we have arranged special rates for lodging the night before a trip or the last night of a trip near our office in Savannah, GA. Hotel room, breakfast, parking over the duration of the trip, and taxes are available for $80.00 per person (double occupancy) per night. Just call us and we will make the arrangements. Remember, for groups of 10 or more, we will meet a group at any point along the route.

Day 7: Our rail journey today is aboard the Cumbres & Toltec Railway, from Antonito, Colorado, to Chama, New Mexico. Travel the open San Luis Valley and climb Ferguson's Trestle into the Rocky Mountains. Along the way, we will pass by Sublette, an abandoned railroad town that still provides water for our steam locomotives. And the highlight of the trip? Inching along the rim of Toltec Gorge for some truly spectacular views. Make sure to have your cameras ready as we pass through the Mud Tunnel and Rock Tunnel, with stunning views of the Rio de los Pinos River below. Day 7: Our port of call today is the small, but fascinating town of Skagway, the gateway to the Yukon Gold Rush. Step back in time as you walk the streets of the village where once throngs of miners landed to begin their journey to fulfill their dreams of riches and treasure. You should take the optional excursion on the White Pass Railway, which follows the trail of fortune hunters on their way to the Yukon. Day 8: This day should be one of the top highlights of your trip as your ship glides into spectacular Glacier Bay, one of the great natural wonders of the world with towering mountains of ice meeting the frigid waters of this beautiful setting. Day 6: Our cruise continues down the coast of Mexico during another day at sea. Day 7: Our next port of call is Santa Cruz Huatulco, situated on Mexico's Pacific Coast in the state of Oaxaca. Boasting nine bays and thirty-six beaches, Huatulco offers more than enough opportunities for fun in the sun. The most popular beach is La Entrega featuring clean white sand and calm waters. This port is perfect for snorkeling and swimming, or just relaxing! There are also archaeological sites to explore, rivers to raft, and striking waterfalls. Bird lovers will find Huatulco to be especially captivating as the region is home to more than 225 bird species! Day 9: As a travel destination, Nicaragua has remained below the radar for many Americans but is in fact one of the region’s most politically and socially stable nations and has been billed as the next great spot for eco, cultural and culinary tourism. Today is your chance to explore it, as we dock in Corinto, Nicaragua. Day 10: Our next stop along the Panama Canal Zone route, is Puntarenas on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast. Venture out to explore the variety of this Central American country's attractions, from lush jungle destinations to pristine beaches, active volcanoes, and of course an abundance of wildlife including Sloths! Day 11: Enjoy another day at Sea as we head towards the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal.
Day 12: Welcome to the town of Balboa, Panama - the gateway to the incredible Panama Canal. Embark on a journey through history as you cruise along the 48-mile route connecting the Pacific and Caribbean. Marvel at the massive locks that lift your ship 85 feet, while an expert historian shares captivating tales of this monumental engineering marvel. Traverse the Miraflores, Pedro Miguel, and Gatun locks, passing through the breathtaking Gatun Lake, home to thriving wildlife. Day 13: After exiting the Canal, we stop in Cartagena, Columbia founded in 1533 and named after the colonial country Spain’s city of the same name. Colombia declared independence in 1810, but there's plenty about its fifthlargest city that evokes “old Spain,” including the impressive fort of Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, and the wall that encloses the old town- one of the few intact structures of its kind in the Americas. Day 14 & 15: Enjoy these days at sea as we steam North through the Caribbean towards Florida. Day 16: Our final stop is at the tropical wonder, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, which happens to be Holland America’s private Island. Day 3: After a great Irish breakfast, we visit Trinity College where you will visit the Long Room which houses 200,000 of Trinity College’s oldest books and is one of the world’s most beautiful libraries. Here we shall view a 9th-century Latin manuscript of the four Gospels written on vellum (prepared calfskin), known as the Book of Kells, one of Ireland’s greatest cultural treasures and the world’s most famous medieval manuscript. You will also visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, an architectural and historical site that has been at the heart of Dublin's history for over 800 years. Of course, no visit to Dublin would be complete without a visit to the Guinness Brewery founded in 1759 by Arthur Guinness. Here you will enjoy a self-guided tour which concludes with a leisurely pint of Guinness in the 360-degree rooftop bar while enjoying some spectacular views of Dublin City. The remainder of the day is free to soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant city. You may choose to explore its many lively streets and enjoy dinner in one of the city’s charming pubs and restaurants. B Day 4: This morning bid farewell to Dublin and travel south to Glendalough (Valley of Two Lakes) where we shall travel back in time whilst enjoying a guided tour of this early 7th-century monastic settlement. Your tour continues through the beautiful Vale of Avoca to Waterford where you will visit the House of Waterford Crystal, here you will see highly skilled craftsmen demonstrate crystal blowing and cutting in a new state-of-the-art visitor center. After a guided tour travel to Clonmel where we check into the Georgian-style Hotel Minella overlooking the river Suir for an overnight stay. Dinner is included this evening. B D Day 5: Travel to Cobh, one of the main points of emigration during the great famine and the last port of call of the Titanic. Here we visit “The Queenstown Story” which portrays the hardship of life on board a ship as it sailed to the “New World”. Annie Moore, the first ever emigrant to be processed on Ellis Island when it officially opened on 1st January 1892, left Cobh with her two brothers. Departing Cobh, continue to Blarney where we visit Blarney Castle and Gardens. The castle was built in 1446 and today you will have an opportunity to climb the spiral stairs to the top of the castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone said to bestow the gift of eloquence on all those who dare. As you make your way through the castle grounds, you can also visit the Castle Gardens and Rock Close. From here continue to Beauty’s home, Killarney, for a three-night stay with dinner included. B D
Day 6: Today, embark on one of Ireland’s most famous tours, The Ring of Kerry. Our first stop is the Kerry Bog Village where you can visit the little thatched cottages and see how people lived in Ireland many years ago. The tour continues through the wild and rugged landscape of the Iveragh Peninsula which has some breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline. Pass through the towns of Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen and Waterville to Sneem, then wind our way through the mountains taking in some fine views of the Lakes of Killarney and the Ladies View before returning to Killarney. The remainder of the evening is free to enjoy Killarney at your leisure. You may choose to have dinner in one of its many restaurants or simply wander around its bustling streets and let the sound of Irish music draw you into one of the town’s lively pubs. B
Day 7: Another great day is planned as we enjoy the unspoiled beauty of the Dingle Peninsula, once cited as the most beautiful place on earth by National Geographic. Stop at the Brian de Staic studio in Dingle which specializes in Celtic jewelry, handcrafted, and engraved with ancient Celtic symbols and the letters of the ogham alphabet, an ancient Irish form of writing. As we continue around Slea Head you will get some breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline and see some beehive huts (early monastic settlements) dating back over a thousand years. Our tour takes us to the most westerly point of Ireland where you can view the Blasket Islands, which were featured in such films as Ryan’s Daughter, Far and Away starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, and the more recently filmed Star Wars - The Last Jedi. You will have some free time in Dingle for lunch before returning to Killarney with the evening free. B Day 8: After breakfast, bid a fond farewell to Killarney and travel to Tralee, the capital town of County Kerry, famous for The Rose of Tralee Festival. Continue to Tarbert where we board the Shannon Ferry, which crosses the Shannon Estuary to Killimer. From here we take the coast road to the majestic Cliffs of Moher which rise to a height of 600 feet over the Atlantic Ocean. Following some free time to enjoy the cliffs, continue to Ennis where we shall check into our hotel. This evening is a real treat as we travel to the majestic 15thcentury Bunratty Castle, to join the Earl of Thomond for a glorious medieval banquet. The entertainment that accompanies dinner is superb and great fun, incorporating Irish medieval & traditional songs and instrumental music and comedy. B D
Day 9: Departing Ennis, we travel to Galway City and enjoy a panorama tour of this historic city. Then journey through the famous Gaelic-speaking area of Connemara, made up of mountains, Lakelands, and boglands. Because of its wild and rugged beauty, it has been the location for many films. “The Quiet Man” with John Wayne and Maureen O Hara and in more recent times “The Field” starring Richard Harris. Visit Kylemore Abbey, built in 1866 and from 1920 to 2008 was home to the Benedictine Nuns. You can also visit the Abbey’s Victorian Walled Garden which is completely enclosed by a brick and limestone wall and the beautiful Gothic Church built by Mitchell Henry in memory of his wife who died four years after the castle was constructed. Our journey then winds its way through the scenic Doolough Valley, taking in a stretch of road known as the famine walk and following in the footsteps of the many people who left their home in search of food during the great famine. You will visit Glen Keen Farm and enjoy some freshly baked scones followed by a sheep herding demonstration. From here, continue by the foothills of Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s Holy Mountain to Westport for a twonight stay. Dinner is included this evening. B D Day 10: Today we travel to Mulranny and cross the Michael Davitt Bridge to Achill, Ireland’s largest offshore island. Following the coastline, we are afforded breathtaking views of the island’s spectacular Atlantic Drive. Discover the deserted village at Slievemore which consists of 80 – 100 stone cottages (booley homes) on the southern slopes of Slievemore Mountain. On returning to Westport, visit the 18th Century Westport House for a guided tour, and before departing, enjoy a sumptuous Victorian Afternoon Tea in the gorgeous formal drawing room. The remainder of the evening is free to enjoy the picturesque town of Westport. B T Day 11: Travel to the town of Knock, where Our Lady appeared in 1879 and has since become a place of pilgrimage with thousands of people visiting each year. From here travel to County Roscommon where we will visit Strokestown Park. The park comprises of Strokestown House, the Irish National Famine Museum, and Strokestown Park Walled Gardens. The house was the family home of the Packenham Mahon family and preserved the original furnishings and fabrics. The National Famine Museum, which is housed in the old stable yards of Strokestown House was designed to commemorate the history of the great famine. Day 1: Join our overnight flight to this Nordic Island Nation. Day 2: Morning arrival into Iceland’s Capital City, Reykjavik. Day 3: Breakfast is included each morning at the hotel. This morning we head to Sky Lagoon, one of Iceland´s newest lagoons, and a lot less crowded than the Blue Lagoon. This oceanside geothermal lagoon is an experience you will never forget as you soak and rejuvenate in these naturally heated waters. We then head back to the city center for an included lunch before visiting “Flyover Iceland”, where we get to see Iceland as few have ever done. Continue our exploration with a guided walking tour of Reykjavik, where you'll discover the city's rich history, vibrant culture, and unique architecture. Dinner is free this evening so you can walk to one of the many restaurants close to your hotel. B L Day 4: Our journey begins this morning as we head west towards Snæfellsnes. The ever-changing landscapes will mesmerize you, from coastal vistas to rolling farmland and awe-inspiring mountains. Our first stop brings us to the captivating Kirkjufell, often referred to as the "Church Mountain." This iconic landmark with its distinctive shape and surrounding beauty has enchanted photographers and nature lovers alike. Take a moment to capture the breathtaking views of Kirkjufell and its reflection in the nearby waterfall, Kirkjufellsfoss, creating a scene straight out of a fairytale. We continue to the heart of Snæfellsjökull National Park to witness the awe-inspiring Snæfellsjökull glacier, a towering volcanic peak that exudes an air of mystery and allure. The park's pristine nature and dramatic landscapes will really leave you in awe. Next, we venture to Djúpalónssandur, a black pebble beach renowned for its haunting beauty. Allow the tranquil atmosphere to embrace you as you walk along the shoreline, feeling the unique texture of the volcanic sand beneath your feet and gaze up at the striking rock formations that rise majestically from the beach. Next, we arrive at the charming fishing village of Arnarstapi. Prepare to be captivated by its rugged coastline, where towering cliffs meet the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Day 5: Our next destination, as we “hub and spoke” out of Reykjavik, is the town of Vik on the South coast. Enroute we will stop at the majestic Seljarlandsfoss waterfall and the breathtaking Skógarfoss waterfall, sights that inspire you with nature's grandeur. Witness the majestic curtain of mist as it descends from the towering cliffs, creating a spectacle that evokes a sense of wonder and admiration. You can walk all the way into the wall of water if you wish, but remember to take a towel, you will need it! We then arrive in Vik, a place of unparalleled beauty, with its mesmerizing coastal vistas, iconic Reynisfjara black sand beach adorned with basalt columns as well as its charming streets. Day 6: Today finds us driving to Húsafell, a captivating area known for its lush greenery and unique rock formations. From there, embark on an adventure into the heart of the Langjökull Glacier. Here we embark on specially designed glacier vehicles and drive to the top of the icecap! Then, head into the glacier itself to explore a fascinating ice cave & tunnel leading to the blue heart of the glacier. Afterward, we visit the nearby hot springs and waterfalls, so you can immerse yourself in the tranquility and natural beauty of the Icelandic countryside. Lunch is included. B L
Day 7: Our final day as we travel on the famous Golden Circle route, which boasts some of Iceland's most celebrated destinations. Our first stop is the historic and picturesque Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet! Marvel at the visible rift between continents as you walk through the Almannagjá gorge and learn about the park's role as the ancient meeting place of the Icelandic parliament, the Althing. Next is iconic Gullfoss, a two-tiered waterfall that commands attention with its sheer beauty and raw power. Lunch is included at this wonderful location. From Gullfoss, we venture into the geothermal wonderland of Geysir. Witness the explosive eruptions of the Strokkur geyser as it shoots boiling water high into the sky, offering a thrilling and captivating spectacle. Day 3: After breakfast, a motorcoach meets us for the drive into Canada to the city of Vancouver in British Columbia. Here, we board our cruise ship, part of Holland America’s 5 Star Fleet, for an amazing seven-night cruise to Alaska. All meals are included aboard the ship. Day 4: Your adventure is just beginning as your ship cruises through the Inside Passage, some areas very narrow and others where it is difficult to see land. Day 8: This day should be one of the top highlights of your trip as your ship glides into spectacular Glacier Bay, one of the great natural wonders of the world with towering mountains of ice meeting the frigid waters of this beautiful setting. Day 10: This morning, we arrive in Whittier to end this wonderful cruise experience. FINAL PAYMENT for multi-day bus tours, is due 45 days prior to departure date unless otherwise noted. For cruises and trips involving airfare, final payment is due 75 days before departure. PASSPORTS are required for all cruises and international trips including Canada. TOUR PRICES ARE PER PERSON AND INCLUDE roundtrip transportation, coach transport, flight if applicable, hotel accommodations for each night of the tour’s itinerary (we do not provide roommates), all admission and tours listed excluding optional tours (optional tour prices are listed), tour director, baggage handling (where available at hotels), and meals listed by B (breakfast), L (lunch), D (dinner), and R (hotel reception) on the trip itineraries. Tour packages do not include meals which are not listed, souvenirs, or gratuity for the driver and/or escort. We suggest $4.00 per person/per day for the driver and $4.00 per person/ per day for the escort. Tour prices with airfare included are subject to change based on flight availability and airport of departure. Airline checked baggage fees are not included.
FINAL INFORMATION INCLUDING departure points and times, hotel phone numbers, luggage tags, what to bring, and an updated itinerary will be mailed out three weeks prior to trip departure. LUGGAGE SERVICE on overnight tours is limited to one bag per person. You may also bring a small carry-on for which you are responsible. Try not to overpack. Trips involving air travel require payment for luggage at the airport on certain airlines (at this time, count on $35.00 per bag each way). The luggage must weigh less than 50 pounds, or the airlines will charge an overweight fee. MULTI-DAY CANCELLATION POLICY: On multi-day ground trips, there is no cancellation penalty if a trip is cancelled before the final payment due date. There is a 100% cancellation penalty if a trip is cancelled within 45 days of trip departure minus any vendor payments which are unrecoverable. On trips involving flights or cruises, deposits are refundable 95 days or more prior to departure minus any vendor deposits which are unrecoverable. DAY TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY: Day trip payments are transferable, but non-refundable minus the cost of shows or event tickets. vendor payments which are unrecovable such as shows, games or event tickets. OPTIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel Protection now available for purchase through Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours. Please call for details. PARKING AND PICKUP POINTS: See page 5 for pickup locations contingent on ten or more passengers. ALONG THE WAY: Contact Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours if you live along the route of the tour and we will make every effort to accommodate a special pickup point if conducive with the trip’s routing. Please make your request a minimum of 30 days prior to departure.
ALTERATIONS: Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours reserves the right to alter or vary the trip’s itinerary to ensure that quality standards are provided. This would only happen in an exceptional situation and an equal replacement will be substituted for alterations. LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION: By booking, financially committing to and physically traveling on a trip with Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours, passenger(s) do so at their own risk and will indemnify Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours and Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours employees in totality against any claim(s) resultant to any actual or perceived harm caused by potential exposure to Covid 19. In addition, passenger(s) will not hold Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours or Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours employees liable for any actual or perceived harm caused by potential exposure to Covid-19 during a trip.
GROUPS OF TEN: For groups of ten or more, Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours may be able to pick you up in your hometown. Please note that this option requires planning and Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours must approve the additional pickups at least 30 days prior to the departure date. Additional pickups from our Macon, North Florida, and North Georgia offices may also be added as a pickup location on a per trip basis. Please note that Excursions Unlimited by Kelly Tours is not responsible for your car or items left in your car when parked at any of the pickup locations. TOURS INVOLVING FLYING to a destination require the traveler to meet at the airport unless otherwise noted. Airfare is subject to change.
