LINCOLN DG PRO-AM SERIES 2022 06/03/22

Emirates Golf Club hosted the Lincoln Pro-Am Series which saw 26 teams of 4 compete on The Majlis golf course, in a two from four Stableford format.

The winning team was Graham Forbes, Jake Carney, Craig Tredenick and Xin He who scored an impressive 88 points. Some good scorings by Jake Carney and Craig Tredenick with rounds of 74 (+2 par). Jake played exceptional golf with a net total 67 (-5).

In runners up spot with 86 points was Sam McLaren, Asif Raza, Asim Arshad and Bayar Khan. Besides a tremendous effort the boys came up 2 points short of the leaders. During the round each player was on fine form, particular Asim and Bayar who shared 7 net birdies and 1 net eagle.

In third place we had Reg van Rooyen, Ajay Shah, Avani Shah and Sonal Gandhi with 85 points.

A respectable attempt being only 1 point behind 2nd place. It would be fair to say that everyone contributed towards the team’s total. Nearest the pin on hole 7 was won by Darragh Duggan. Longest drive on hole 16 for the gents was won by Jake Carney. Longest drive on hole 10 for the girls was won by Yana Jamieson. The winner of the professional prizes was tied by four players: Reg van Rooyen, Matt Brooks, Steve Munro and Purna Sharma with impressive rounds of 71 (-1 par).

Special shout to the 2018 Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjørn for playing in the field!
