30TH INDIAN INVITATIONAL

Emirates Golf Club hosted the annual Indian Invitational for its 30th anniversary which saw 40 teams of 4 compete in a shambles format across the Majlis and Faldo courses.

The overall prize winners were Sultan Mahmood, Siddiqui Muhammad, Sumeet Mishra and Bhavna Jain with 97 points. A very impressive amount of points with all players contributing to the team’s success. Most notable was the 15th on Majlis when the team managed to accumulate 14 points.

The runners up of the overall prize was Manish Bakshi, Sachin Mahajan and Yawar Patka with 92 points. With only 3 players this was an exceptional score. All players scored in the Net 60’s - Sachin scoring a 62 Net.

In third place of the overall division was Sanjay Jaitha, Sudhakar Murthy, Ajay Dasani and Aniket Chitnis with 90 points. Ajay Dasani was the star man in this group with a Net 66. Yet, it is fair to say all players contributed especially on the back 9 were the team made 13 net birdies.

The winners of Group A were Arathi Appaiah, Aditya Kushalapa, Edouard Meyer and Arbaaz Ahmad with 87 points and a Better Back 9. Very consistent scoring through out the round. Most notable was the 7 points Arathi and Aditya accumulated for the team on hole 6 on the Majlis course. runners up comes from hole 13 on Faldo were the team made 3 gross birdies and 1 par.

The winners of Group B were Anil Shivanna, Shelton Sacrafamilia, Westley Burke and Darragh Duggan with 87 points and a Better Back 3. Consistent scoring from all four players. Most notable was a birdie 2 on the difficult Faldo 2nd hole for Darragh Duggan.

The runners up in Group B was Raj Janardhan, Arman Singh, Maximillian Kellner and Silvie Meyer with 87 points. The highlight of the round comes from the 11th on Majlis were Arman, Maximillian and Raj all made birdie 2’s.
