Aindustry, celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, launches his first restaurant in the Middle East. KashKan, Indian Kitchen by Ranveer Brar is a gastronomic haven that blends innovation with tradition, redefining the dining experience for India Food at KashKan.
The name KashKan is of profound significance, derived from Kashmir and Kanyakumari; two regions of India located on the extreme north and south of India’s map. Elevating your dining experience, you have a plethora of dishes to select from, panning each region and state of India. The first-of-its-kind concept in the Middle East promises a unique and unparalleled dining experience.
The restaurant operates from 1130 a.m. to 12 a.m., offering both indoor and outdoor seating options, with a maximum capacity of up to 160 guests. A glimpse of his menu includes Chef Ranveer’s signature Kebab platter from his hometown, an exclusive Bhoot

The restaurant is exquisitely designed with vibrant and colorful décor that eloquently embodies its rich concept and culture. It boasts five distinct private dining rooms, each intricately portraying a unique state and its captivating narrative. The bistro section graciously faces a live kitchen, seamlessly blending chic sophistication with a laid-back aura. Another distinctive feature is the nick-knack corner; an alluring space showcasing an array of pan-Indian nibbles available for purchase. The al fresco area’s serene ambiance is accentuated by a captivating fountain display that harmonizes beautifully with the restaurant’s natural essence. Additionally, an intriguing photographic exhibition curated by Chef Ranveer Brar adorns a wall in the dining areas, capturing soulful moments and adding a personal touch to the overall dining experience.
Dubai Opera is celebrating its seventh anniversary since its inauguration in 2016. This year, the opera is expanding its influence globally, celebrating cultures from around the world. Over the past years, Dubai Opera has showcased 2000 shows with 5000 artists for both tourists and residents, solidifying its position as a premier performing arts center in the United Arab Emirates. This entertainment hub continues to evolve, offering audiences top-notch entertainment and worldclass performances, not only from the Western perspective but also from the Arab and Eastern sides of the world.
During the press conference held on September 7 at Dubai Opera, Head
Dr. Paolo Petrocelli introduced the three main partners of the hub: Dubai Calendar, Dubai Culture, and the UNESCO Regional Office in Doha. He also unveiled the lineup of 40 breathtaking performances for the year 2023-2024, featuring operas, ballets, concerts, and musicals that are sure to captivate millions of hearts.
“Dubai Opera continues to lead as an iconic ‘House of Cultures’, a vibrant and innovative hub, a meeting point where languages and cultures from across the globe intersect and meld daily, delivering a truly unparalleled and memorable experience to all audiences,” Dr. Petrocelli said.
During the press conference, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, praised the initiative of Dubai Opera and provided an update on the tourism sector, noting that the UAE has welcomed 8.5 million visitors, a 20% increase compared to 2019. Regarding the collaboration with Dubai Opera, he stated, “We are seeking innovation, and success is our biggest enemy because year by year we need to develop, and we are committed to bringing the best for you.”
On the other hand, Dr. Saeed Mubarak, Dubai Culture’s CEO of Arts and Literature, emphasized the significant role played by the collaboration with Dubai Opera in the development and
preservation of arts and literature in the region. He highlighted that performing artists are essential for Dubai, and their contribution to the performance arts greatly impacts Dubai’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
“Our goal is to attract global talent, nurturing talent in the UAE, not only for locals but also for those living in the UAE,” he said. He also added that in a few years, they anticipate more locallybased shows that will draw international audiences.
“There are three goals here: the growth of talent, nurturing talent, and the performing arts contributing to the GDP of Dubai.”
This statement prompted Salah Eldin Zaki, UNESCO representative of Gulf State and Yemen and Director of UNESCO regional office in Doha, to commend the UAE for its support in various conflict areas worldwide. He emphasized the significant role that culture and creative industries play in the development of future generations. Arts and Culture make a substantial contribution to human development, and it is crucial to preserve them. He announced that by the end of the year, the UAE will host the first conference on arts and culture education.

In a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence (AI), Fahed Bizzari is a ray of hope for those wanting to cross the technological frontier. Through his international travels and passion for AI literacy, Fahed has become a major champion for professionals wanting to be equipped with the information and abilities needed to prosper in the AI era.
“It’s not about just adapting to AI; it’s about harnessing its potential to
transform our lives,” says Fahed Bizzari, a British expatriate whose career has taken him from the United Kingdom to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). His story is one of entrepreneurship, adaptability and a relentless pursuit of knowledge.
Fahed’s adventure into the world of business began immediately after graduating in 2002. He started his first business out of a dream for financial
independence, not realising the massive impact it would have on his life. At the time, the notion of personal freedom, popularized by Tim Ferriss’s “4-Hour Work Week,” had not yet been published.
Fahed moved to the UAE in 2005 after losing faith that his business would succeed. But a surprising last-minute influx of customers meant that he could stay focused on his business without getting a regular job. His online business grew from there, thereby giving him the ability to live anywhere and control his time on his own terms. During this time, he developed expertise in a wide range of skills that empowered him both as an entrepreneur and trusted advisor. One of those skills was software development, which would later become pivotal in mastering the business application of AI.
Fahed’s recent years have seen him continuously rotate between the UK, the UAE and Sri Lanka, with each destination leaving its own impression on his professional outlook. In fact, his present seven-month stay in Dubai was supposed to be a 10-day stopover on his way from London to Colombo. He had been using his time in Dubai to encourage his local network to take ChatGPT seriously as all reported knowing about it but not actually using it. And after delivering a series of free seminars, he began delivering an intensive 2-day course that evolved into a 4-week mentorship programme called the ChatGPT Accelerator. His students include staff from CNN, MasterCard, Creative Zone, Dubai One and Al Mal Capital, as well as a decamillionaire investor and an Oscar-nominated filmmaker.
Commenting on the challenges of doing business abroad, Fahed points out that expats coming from countries like the UK should be prepared to overcome 2 big challenges. The first is that the overall cost of setting up and maintaining a company abroad is far more than in the UK. The second is the regulatory uncertainty.
“The steps you need to take to set up a business and what’s involved is not as clear here as it is in the UK. But you can solve that by working with formation companies like Creative Zone. I love those guys. As for the extra cost, you just have to ensure your business plan is robust enough to absorb it.”
Fahed’s path and advocacy for AI literacy serve as an example to anyone, illustrating that with the right education, perspective and determination, anyone can traverse the intricacies of the contemporary world, employing technology to improve their lives.

In the worlds of fashion and entertainment, where attention is frequently cast on the beautiful façade, it’s easy to overlook the enormous devotion and hard work that lies underneath the surface.
Rayan Baghdadi, a 31-year-old Iranian model and actor, exemplifies the power of unwavering desire, tenacity, and unshakeable trust in oneself. His path from boyhood aspiration to international recognition is a story that transcends boundaries and inspires budding artists all across the world.
Rayan’s path began with childhood dreams, which sparked a desire for acting and modeling that has lasted his entire life. He had early aspirations of appearing on magazine covers and enthralling viewers on TV. This desire wasn’t a passing thought; rather, it became the inspiration for both his academic endeavors and his rapidly advancing modeling profession.
With a strong background in physical education from his home Iran, Rayan made the risky decision to move to Dubai in 2013. He felt he could pursue his aspirations with the vigor and passion that made him who he was in the center of a city renowned for its riches and vibrant entertainment sector.
Rayan used Dubai as the canvas for his extraordinary voyage. His work with prominent companies like Dolce & Gabbana, Mercedes-Benz, Cartier, Armani, and many more reads like a compendium of the best in the fashion industry. He made the runway his home and has graced it with his charismatic presence in more than 140 fashion shows throughout the years.
By taking on the role as the face of ‘The One,’ the enduring fragrance from Dolce & Gabbana, Rayan marked an important career turning point in 2018. This wasn’t just a publicity stunt; it was a demonstration of his ability to personify elegance and grace.
Rayan’s path wasn’t without its share of difficulties, particularly when he first moved to Dubai. He made his decision
not because it would be easy, but because he was determined and had a strong conviction in the need to work hard. “I faced many challenges when I moved to Dubai,” he says, looking back on those early days. “But I always believe that working hard pays off.”
Each of these difficulties served as a stepping stones, bringing him closer to his goals. He rose to the top of the modeling world thanks to this unwavering commitment.
In a world where the demands of a high-profile career can often encroach on personal life, Rayan emphasizes the importance of balance. “It’s not that easy, but you can try to have balance in every part of your life,” he advises. This equilibrium, he believes, is crucial to maintaining a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
It takes a lot of effort to juggle the obligations of a successful profession with maintaining close friendships and following one’s interests. But Rayan’s determination to maintain this equilibrium speaks volumes about his steady character and unshakable commitment.
For nearly a decade, Dubai has been Rayan’s home, a city that he holds in the highest regard. “I’ve visited a lot of countries, but nowhere feels like Dubai. It’s the best city in the world. It’s the city of success and luxury,” he declares. Dubai’s vibrant cosmopolitan atmosphere and boundless opportunities have played an integral role in shaping Rayan’s journey.
The city, with its imposing buildings and busy streets, serves as more than simply a setting for his professional life; it also serves as a symbol of the aspirations he still has. Dubai’s unmatched fusion of ambition and splendor is a perfect reflection of Rayan’s path.
Rayan has goals that are as high as the buildings that line Dubai’s skyline in the future. His ultimate desire is to become a household star in the acting industry, a target he relentlessly pursues. In addition, he sees Dubai as the setting for this future, which speaks volumes about the close relationship he has developed with the city.
For those who aspire to follow in Rayan’s footsteps, he offers sage advice: “Follow your dream and never give up. Keep the faith and be a strong believer.” These words encapsulate the ethos that has guided Rayan’s journey, serving as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring talents.
Rayan’s experience reminds us that behind every accomplishment comes years of toil, persistence, and unwavering trust in oneself in a world that often praises the final product. As he continues to walk the runways and screen, his story stands as an invincible tribute to the power of dreams and the unwavering spirit of dedication.
Rayan Baghdadi is a live example of how, with ambitions as your compass and steadfast dedication as your fuel, success is more than simply a destination; it’s a trip worth taking.

Dulay’s Remarkable Journey to Success in Dubai
In a city that boasts a diverse population hailing from over 250 countries, Dubai is no stranger to stories of individuals who have come here in pursuit of a better life. Among these success stories, Michelle Dulay’s journey stands out as an inspiring testament to determination, resilience, and an unshakable belief in one’s abilities.
Growing up in a province surrounded by farms in the Philippines, Michelle’s early years were defined by hard work, limited resources, and a strong desire for change. She vividly recalls her childhood, working in the fields, planting rice, and doing odd jobs to make ends meet. Her family’s humble house, made of wood with a leaky kugon roof, symbolized the challenges they faced. Despite the hardships, Michelle’s dreams burned brightly.
“My dream was simple at first - to buy a TV for our home,” Michelle recalls. But as she began her journey, her dreams expanded. She aimed to change her family’s circumstances, to provide them with a better life. “I don’t want my kids to experience the same hardships I did,” she says.
With only a 1st-year high school education, Michelle’s path to success in Dubai was not paved with academic qualifications. She arrived in Dubai as a saleslady, working at one of the largest companies in the region, Majid Al Futtaim, despite having no prior experience in sales. It was here that her self-confidence blossomed, buoyed by the belief that there were people who saw her potential. It was a stark contrast to what some had told her before coming to Dubai, that her job prospects were limited due to her lack of formal education.
“I experienced ups and downs in Dubai, like walking from work to home due to a tight budget. But I never gave up because life must go on,” Michelle reflects. Her resilience and determination were further tested when she lost her job during her cancer treatment. Amidst the global pandemic, Michelle became a sales agent for medical masks, risking her own health to help others.
It was during these challenging times that Michelle encountered people from diverse backgrounds, including prominent families and businesses, all seeking medical supplies. These connections she made during the pandemic would later become clients in her new career path.
As the world gradually returned to normalcy, Michelle found herself venturing into real estate, becoming an
agent. Many of the individuals she had met during the pandemic became her clients in this new field. “That’s how I reached where I am today,” she proudly states.
Michelle’s life philosophy revolves around self-discipline, humility, and putting her faith in God. Her family remains a driving force behind her ambitions, and her own self-confidence serves as a constant source of strength. One of the most significant lessons life taught Michelle was the fragility of life itself. Diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2019, she battled the disease with unwavering determination. “Life is short,” she emphasizes, reflecting on her triumph over cancer. “Don’t waste it for nothing. Always give life a good meaning, especially to yourself and your family.”
Michelle’s daily life revolves around staying grounded and focusing on what truly matters. She practices time management and effective communication to balance her roles as a family member and an employee. “It’s guiding me to not forget or escape anything in my daily life routine,” she shares.
Michelle’s experience in Dubai has been nothing short of amazing. She views
Dubai as a city that embraces everyone, regardless of their nationality. “Dubai led my way to pursue my dream,” she says with gratitude.
For Michelle, her ultimate dream revolves around providing a better life for her family, ensuring a secure retirement for her parents, and eventually owning her own business. She also aspires to support her siblings in any way she can. “I want more,” she says. “I am a dreamer, and I want to achieve more.”
Michelle’s advice to others striving for success is straightforward: “Keep trying, keep learning, have determination and work hard. Be a dreamer and never underestimate your ability to grow. Keep the bad experiences in the past as lessons and put family as your inspiration.”
Michelle Dulay’s story is a testament to the limitless potential of the human spirit. From humble beginnings in a Filipino province to her current role as Chief Financial Officer at TMLAK Property, Michelle’s journey is a reminder that with determination, resilience, and the unwavering belief in one’s abilities, anyone can achieve their dreams in the city of opportunities, Dubai.

Commitment to Social Responsibility
Robert Laurel Yupangco, renowned not only for his exceptional wealth but, more importantly, for his dedication to inspiring others, has garnered acclaim as one of the most successful Filipinos. He achieved yet another milestone by earning recognition as one of the “Top 50 Rising Tigers in Asia and the Pacific” at the prestigious Asia Leaders Awards (ALA), a distinction announced during the launch of the influential business and lifestyle magazine, “Rising Tigers: Nation Builders.”
Known affectionately by his nickname, RLY, he is not merely a prosperous entrepreneur but also a trailblazer in the realm of eco-tourism. His ambitious mission is to metamorphose the Philippines into an expansive green resort and theme park haven. RLY’s impact extends far and wide, as he presides over multiple businesses spanning various domains, each underscored by a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, particularly in championing environmental conservation and animal welfare.
RLY’s business ventures encompass a diverse array of industries, including electronics, finance, real estate, education, and the food and beverage sector. He attributes his business acumen
to a wealth of experiences accumulated during his formative years. Remarkably, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at a tender age of 21, following his father’s demise. Initially met with skepticism due to his youth, RLY defied the odds by honing his professionalism, fostering innovative business ideas, and cultivating a growth-oriented mindset. These attributes have propelled him into ventures spanning transportation, museums, and other diverse fields. Education played a pivotal role in shaping RLY into the man he is today. He pursued his studies at De La Salle University in Manila and further enriched his skills and knowledge by undertaking academic pursuits at renowned institutions such as Harvard University and Wharton School of Business, establishing an educational foundation recognized worldwide. Even in the face of the most dire circumstances, RLY underscores the enduring value of continuous learning, remarking, “Even when you know that you’re dying tomorrow, it is still advisable to read and learn something.”
In an enlightening interview with Dubai Vibes Magazine, RLY shared insights into being part of the Laurel family, one of the most influential families in the Philippines. As the grandson of Jose P. Laurel, a former President of the Philippines, RLY shared the invaluable advice his grandfather bestowed upon the family: the importance of a good name and a quality education. For years, the Laurels have abstained from political involvement, a deliberate choice that has preserved their family’s esteemed reputation.
Reflecting on the Laurel legacy, RLY
highlighted that industry respect accompanies good deeds, and his family’s commitment to helping the Philippines persists, even without political involvement. He expressed, “My family decided that if we really want to help the Philippines, we can still do it, not necessarily through politics. That’s why my family decided to operate in the private sector, which, in many ways, is more sincere.”
RLY is not only committed to success but also to giving back. He observes a significant financial gap and a lack of financial literacy among Filipinos working abroad, particularly overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). His vision includes empowering OFWs with financial education and encouraging them to adopt a structured savings approach, symbolized by six metaphorical jars, each receiving a portion of their income.
Looking ahead, RLY envisions creating businesses and investing in Dubai, not solely for personal gain but also to provide job opportunities and essential support to Filipinos in need.
RLY’s mission is a source of inspiration, emphasizing the importance of being a beacon of help to others. He continues to pursue his mission with unwavering determination, aspiring to be a visionary leader in the world of business, extending assistance to others, and embodying the spirit of a true “tiger” who not only builds a solid business foundation but also nurtures the dreams of fellow Filipinos.
In the vast expanse of space, among the stars and galaxies, a small but significant piece of history was made. Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, an embodiment of dreams and aspirations for the citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), embarked on a historic six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This mission had not only captured the hearts of many but had also inspired an entire nation and the Arab world.
Sultan Al Neyadi’s journey into space was not just a personal achievement; it was a testament to the UAE’s commitment to space exploration and scientific advancement. His six months aboard the ISS marked the longest Arab space mission ever undertaken, a monumental feat that brought immense pride to the nation and its leaders.
During this historic mission, Sultan Al Neyadi and his fellow crew members conducted over 200 experiments encompassing various scientific domains. These experiments covered critical areas such as the cardiovascular system, back pain research, protein crystallization growth, epigenetics, immune system studies, fluid dynamics, plant biology, human life sciences, material science, sleep analysis, and
radiation exposure. The knowledge gained from these experiments promised to not only benefit individuals but also contribute to the betterment of the world and future space exploration.
The significance of this remarkable event could not be overstated. It was a celebration of human achievement and a testament to the power of international collaboration in space exploration. The live coverage and interactions on social media with the crew while they were in space created a sense of excitement and unity among people from all walks of life, transcending borders and cultures. The United Arab Emirates, known for its vision and ambition, had invested heavily in its space program. The success of Sultan Al Neyadi’s mission was a testament to the country’s dedication to scientific research and exploration. This mission had also positioned the UAE as a leader in the region’s space endeavors and had earned it the respect and admiration of the global space community.
In a recent virtual news conference held by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director-General of MBRSC, shared insights into the future of Sultan Al Neyadi’s mission. He explained that, upon their return to Earth, the astronauts would undergo medical rehabilitation and safety measures before returning to normal life. Simultaneously, a
dedicated team would focus on the scientific experiments conducted during the mission. Administrative and organizational matters, as well as discussions with various stakeholders, would also be handled by an administrative team.
The return journey from space was a complex process, involving precise maneuvers and the utmost care for the astronauts’ safety. After undocking from the ISS, the spacecraft underwent orbit-lowering maneuvers, and a crucial deorbit burn was executed before reentering Earth’s atmosphere. The careful deployment of parachutes ensured a safe landing off the coast of Tampa, Florida, in the Gulf of Mexico.
The UAE Astronaut Programme, managed by MBRSC under the UAE’s National Space Programme, was supported by the ICT Fund of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA). This support was aimed at promoting research and development in the ICT sector within the UAE, further solidifying the country’s position on the global stage.
As we eagerly awaited Sultan Al Neyadi’s safe return to Earth and the continuation of his mission’s scientific endeavors, let us celebrate this momentous achievement. Sultan Al Neyadi had not only ventured into space but had also become a beacon of inspiration for the UAE and the Arab world. His mission had embodied the nation’s dedication to scientific progress, innovation, and the pursuit of knowledge, ultimately working toward making the world a better place for all.
