Graphic design + editing
How we work When we design a report or a brochure we are thinking about the content and who we are helping to communicate it to. Our job is to present information in a clear and engaging way and to do this we think about structure, pace and navigation as well as typography, colour and imagery.

Design for us in not an add-on but a way of organising and presenting ideas, research and information to their best advantage. It’s vital for us to know what it is we’re helping to communicate, so our starting point is to listen and read.

Often we function as part of a wider team, helping to define messages from the outset and establishing a way of communicating to target audiences. Sometimes we generate content ourselves, gathering information and writing copy on behalf of our clients.

Our design thinking extends from the overarching issue of communication through to the detail of publishing convention, from notes and referencing styles to indexes and appendices. We think about words and how they’re presented, and we are experienced at editing for grammar, consistency and style.
