Poland – One Enchanting, Unexpected Surprise, After Another, After Another After... An eye-opener, isn't it! For us, at American Travel Abroad, for more than sixty years, the leading tour operator to Poland, that statement is not that unusual. Because in Poland, you will find everything you have come to Europe for in one compact, friendly, affordable country. As someone else once put it, Poland is Europe in miniature. A land of dramatic contrasts. Historic cities. Sleepy villages. Old World traditions and folkways. New World comforts and conveniences. You can gaze at majestic, snow-covered mountains one day, bask on sunny Baltic beaches the next. Sleep in a historyfilled palace or castle and dance the night away in a swinging nightclub. You can listen to great music by leading Polish or other European composers (Chopin, Moniuszko, Szymanowski, Mozart, Tschaikowsky), see great works of art by renowned international artists, dine on superb gourmet fare or sample popular culinary highlights from the Polish kitchen. Day in, day out, you will discover new delights, new charms. Boredom is not a word in our vocabulary. At American Travel Abroad, we can show you the many faces of Poland on our fully escorted, allinclusive group tours with guaranteed departures. Whether you come for a quick introduction to the major attractions found in our leading cities, Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk or Wroclaw or whether you have time to explore the country in depth, you will leave with indeliable, treasured memories of a vacation well spent. Experience has taught us that we have created ideal tours for both the first-timer and the veteran, from 8 to 15 days in length.
Of course, you are not bound to a group tour. We also offer a versatile car rental program, which gives you an opportunity to explore Poland on your own, at your own pace, visiting places and areas of interest to you. In conjunction with this program, we also have a comprehensive hotel package program. And, if you don't want to rent a car, you can travel around Poland by train. (Talk to us, whether you go by car or train, we can help you put together a custommade tour.) Poland is also renowned for its superb, health-giving spa and wellness programs. What's new for 2008? A stirring religious pilgrimage tour with guaranteed departure dates, as well as extensions not only to Prague, but to Budapest and Vienna. And whichever program you choose, we are proud to be able to fly you there next year on LOT Polish Airlines' brand-new Boeing Superjet 787, a state-of-the-art plane our travel partner will introduce on its routes in 2008. And yes, LOT is still the fastest, most comfortable way from New York, Newark and Chicago to Warsaw, Krakow, Rzeszow and other Polish cities as well. So come with us in 2008 and let us surprise you in delightfully surprising POLAND!

We Have an ‘Inn’ to Good Health! Actually, we have more than one. And we call them 'spas.' Going for spa treatment or, as they used to say in the old days, 'taking the waters' is the traditional, European way to stay well and fit. More and more Americans have gotten the word and are coming to Poland for treatments. No wonder! Because Poland is world-renowned for its spas. They are located in some of the country's most picturesque areas, in the mountains or along the seashore. These health resorts treat a variety of physical disorders. Each spa is known for its specialties. However, you don't have to be suffering from an illness to take advantage of them. It's a marvelous place to come and re-charge those batteries or just get away for a change of pace or place. So go ahead: Take the plunge. You'll come back a new, revitalized person. When you register at any of our spa resorts, you are placed under the care of highly skilled doctors and trained, professional health aides. They will prescribe a program that is created especially to meet your needs. It may include special baths, massages, physio-, cryo- or kinesitherapy. The recommended length of time for effective results may run from two to three weeks. Among the more popular health spas are Ciechocinek, Krynica, Wieliczka, Sopot, Mikolajki and Zakopane. For a complete list, dates and rates—please get in touch with us.
THERE IS NO BUSINESS LIKE GROUP BUSINESS… If you have a group ready to travel, give us a call!
Today, it is just as easy to send a whole bus full of tourists to a particular destination or on a specific quest as one individual. That is why we have expanded our special Group Tour Department this season, not just for set programs created by us, but also for customdesigned tours, tailored to your own needs.
While we can formulate tours along such diverse topics as music, economics, agriculture, science, commerce or industry in Poland, Europe or anywhere in the world, we already have on tap some ready-made programs throughout Poland. We can offer them to you as is or alter them to your requirements.
While you can schedule any length of time, American Travel Abroad recommends a
minimum of seven days and six nights. We can get you started with as few as 16 likeminded passengers. Of course, the more the merrier, but, more important, the more, the better the price per participant. If they want luxury all the way, we can provide that. If the group is budget-conscious, we can adjust the program to reflect a more affordable cost. We can arrange the trip with or without round trip air; with full American plan or breakfast only; with special banquets and gala dinners; with as many or as few extra features as you specify.
1. CASTLES, PALACES & MANOR HOUSES 9 DAYS/8 NIGHTS WITH A MINIMUM OF 21 PASSENGERS
3. TEUTONIC KNIGHTS’ CASTLES OF NORTHERN POLAND 8 DAYS/7 NIGHTS WITH A MINIMUM OF 21 PASSENGERS
