Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Club: Frankenstein
Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Club meets monthly to discuss compelling titles within this genre, which features very real, human stories. New members are always welcome! February’s selection is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Published in 1818, when Shelley was just 18, this classic laid the foundation for today’s science fiction.

Learn about one of the most bizarre and devastating weather events to occur in our region’s history. Author Cary Griffith will share Gunflint Falling: Blowdown in the Boundary Waters, which tells the story of this catastrophic meteorological event that occurred on July 4, 1999 in the Boundary Waters.
