Turas Launches Fundraising appeal “Michael’s Story”

tuRAS is a not-forprofit addiction service based in Dundalk. they support over 350 people each year in the NorthEast, helping them to create addiction free lives. Michael Dwyer volunteers as a Recovery Coach and group facilitator with turas. he is also a former turas client. Michael is sharing his inspiring story to raise funds and awareness, so that turas can support more men and women in our community who are struggling with an addiction.

Absolute, pure and utter hell.” he says, “We are not “druggie scumbags”. We are not “alkies”. We are someone’s son, someone’s wife, someone’s father, someone’s daughter. In fact, half the population of Ireland is directly affected by addiction, either through personal experience or that of a loved one.” thanks to donations from people like you, turas was able to support Michael’s recovery from alcohol addiction.
