top class cycling in Blackrock this weekend as Rás tailteann returns

thERE are only four days to go until the prestigious final stage of this years Rás tailteann returns to Blackrock for a second year in a row.

the Blackrock stage last year was hailed as a massive success by spectactors and organisers and the decision was quickly made to return to the seaside village for this year’s final stage.

the Rás tailteann 2023 five day International Cycling Race around Ireland will cross the finishing line in Blackrock on Sunday 21st May 2023 around 2pm. this event will be made up of eight International teams, thirty National teams, over 170 professional cyclists and a cavalcade of 44 vehicles consisting of Gardai, support crew, media and marshalls.

Last year’s winner was the Irishman, Daire Feeley and he will be coming back this year to defend his title. New for this year, the last 20 km and the final laps around the village will be streamed live on Facebook live to add to the excitement.

There will be significant parking restrictions in the village starting from the evening of Saturday 20th May and on Sunday 21st May 2023.
