“it was something new and was created for the event in a couple of days. i was working in the office for ten hours compiling information from all content streams.”
He continued: “Louth County Council was also running its own marketing campaign on the LouthCoCo Twitter feed.
“And there was information being shared on the VisitLouth Twitter feed. On the day itself i was working from 7am to 9pm. it was very intense.
“it demanded a lot of concentration because i wanted to make sure everything was correct and timely.”
Jason concluded: “it was a once in a generation event. We got 3,000 hits across the website and blog.
“The reach for Dundalk was 89 million people, for Louth is was 257 million people and for Carlingford the reach was 334 million so there was a total combined reach of 680 million.
“i nearly fell off my chair when i saw the figures. What helped was the POTus Twitter account has 32 million followers and international news outlets were also posting to their millions of followers.”
