Regarded as “The Ultimate Aston Martin,” the One-77 is and will forever be one of the finest English automobiles ever created. While Aston Martin has long been known for their luxury sports cars, the One-77 brought the manufacturer into the supercar realm for the first time. Now, one of the 77 examples of this supercar is for sale within the United States.

very car collector has one piece within their collection that stands out, and this automobile could be the star of even the finest collection. The U.S. has two One-77s that we know of residing within the country, which would make a collection that includes this car more substantial than ever before. If you’ve ever wanted to be a part of a very exclusive club and be the talk of the automotive community, this is your chance. The Aston Martin One-77 was first introduced to the world at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, where only a portion of the car was unveiled. It wasn’t until March 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show that a metallic blue concept of the One-77 was revealed in all of its glory. Shortly thereafter, the finished car made its way to the Concorso d’Eleganza Ville d’Este in April 2009. It was on the shores of Lake Como that the One-77 won the design award for Concept Cars and Prototypes. From this point forward, the Aston Martin One-77 became regarded as automotive art.

The One-77 is much more than rolling art, as it was also introduced as the fastest Aston Martin of its time. Under the hood rests an incredibly potent and naturallyaspirated 7.3-liter V12 engine (AM77/089) that is able to produce 750 hp and 552 lb-ft of torque. Mated to power plant is a fortified version of the DB9’s six-speed automated manual transmission. When power is routed to the rear wheels, the car is able to sprint from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds. This English hypercar can then continue accelerating until it hits a top speed of around 220 mph.

This is number 66 of the total 77 crafted. The exterior is an absolutely stunning Aviemore Pearl finish, which is rumored to have received its name from a town called Aviemore that’s situated in the Highlands of Scotland. This blue finish rests upon a carbon fiber monocoque that is surrounded by an aluminum body shell. Every curve and surface found on this car is as reflective as they were when the car rolled off of the production line. The cabin of this One-77 continues the elegance introduced by its exterior thanks to a fine, dark leather that is highlighted by contrasting white stitching and carbon fiber trim. The color scheme of this interior blends perfectly with the hues found on the exterior, a feat that only an artist could achieve. The physical design of this cabin brings all of the focus onto the driver, allowing them to have every necessary control available at their fingertips. To say that this is one of the most exquisite and driver-focused automotive cabins would be an understatement. Every surface found within this English supercar remains virtually untouched, showing no wear. It’s as if the car were placed in a time capsule at the time it was built, just a few years ago. The owner ordered the car directly from Aston Martin in 2012 and has less than 730 miles showing on its odometer. Due to import regulations, the owner worked diligently to have the car delivered to the United States, where it has remained. Saddling Up in Asheville Chances are, when you think of Asheville, North Carolina you think of the foodie scene, the beer, clean air, and the Biltmore Estate, the 130,000 square foot Castle set on 8,000 breathtaking acres of garden and forest that was built in 1895 by George Vanderbilt. Chances are you don’t think of fox hunts and ranches and thousands of acres of riding trails. Yet, the western North Carolina towns surrounding Ashville are a hot bed of equestrian activity says Rick Merrill, of Beverly-Hanks Realtors. “There’s trail riding and endurance trail riding, on Arabian horses, which are built for it. There’s dressage, jumping, and fox hunting where you turn out dogs who scent the fox and everyone is dolled up in fancy clothing.” Then there’s western-style trail riding, “They sometimes gather for several day’s ride,” he says.

DuPont Forest has 10,000 acres of fine trails. Pisgah National Forest has over 200,000 acres. Capping it off, there’s the world class, $100,000,000 Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, “There’s stabling for 1,000 horses,” he says. Once you see it you won’t forget it.” And that’s attracting ranch buyers from Florida, Connecticut, Colorado, California – places that are becoming increasingly crowded and highly taxed. There are hundreds of horse farms in the area, he says. “Some on just a few acres, others on hundreds.” Not that I have any listed right now. Merrill’s job is to find you that dream ranch – he recently discovered six possibilities for a pair of endurance riding veterans. Several of my fellow Beverly-Hanks agents have farm listings from $79,000 to $5.1 M.

Ride for several days? “Oh yes,” he laughs. “There are places where you can ride for 50 miles.”

His own is on 18 acres. “It’s a cool lifestyle,” he says. “Our kids all rode starting when they were four. They learned responsibility and it’s a lot of fun for the family, just saddle your horse and ride.”

The drive time is about an hour and a half. “It’s a private retreat for me, my family, and friends,” he says. “We have big parties four times a year, people fly in from all over the world.” Visitors fight over who gets to stay in the log cabin guest suite up the hill, nestled in the rustling trees. Pitts says it would make a great corporate or executive retreat, a wedding venue, or a mountain home for a celebrity like Tyler Perry. The property is fully fenced, gated, and equipped with top of the line security systems. “There are no other lots with residences like I have,” says the King of the Hill.

ot a man to make snap decisions, Chris Wheeler says he nevertheless knew immediately that the new community of Belleview Place was right for him. Wheeler said he never considered or looked at another community, “I’d been thinking about moving to Clearwater for years. So when I saw who the builder was and where it was, I said the time has come. I ran all my options and it just fit like a glove. And I haven’t looked back. I’m very confident it’s a worthwhile decision.” Still, the decision was far from hasty. The affable former broadcaster and current ambassador for the Philadelphia Phillies baseball club has been traveling to Clearwater with the team every year since 1972. tremendous comfort level there.” Wheeler has been a seasonal member of Belleair Country Club (just across the street from the 132-home community) during the Phillies’ spring training and is looking forward to permanent membership in 2018. He said when he heard it was going to be developed by JMC Communities, “I thought, ‘OK, that’s good. I know JMC. When they build something they’re going to build it, and build it right.’” JMC has created 24 award-winning communities and hotels, including Sandpearl Resort & Residences on Clearwater Beach, Ovation in downtown St. Petersburg and the Bellamy in Tampa. Wheeler purchased a two-bedroom/ two-bath residence with den in the first mid-rise building at Belleview Place, now under construction and expected to be completed by mid-2018. “It overlooks the second green of the west course and looks right up

Clearwater Bay. In some places, you get one or the other; here, I’m getting both. That’s a heck of a deal. I know the golf course so well, I can just picture the views.
