tarwood Motors is a multi-faceted company based in Dallas, Texas, that serves their customers in more ways than one. A great example of the extent of their ability and expertise is featured in this magazine as the cover vehicle: the Full Metal Jacket Jeep. The Full Metal Jacket was created through Starwood Motor’s custom Jeep program, which allows customers to create the off-road vehicle of their dreams. Many modifications were made to this Jeep, both inside and out.

Smittybilt body armor has been added to the exterior, while both the exterior and interior feature Starwood Motor’s signature Kevlar finish that is guaranteed for life to never crack or fade. Additional lighting has also been installed in the Full Metal Jacket’s exterior to help light the way during those night-time off-road sessions. Maserati of New England is very pleased to present this limited production Maserati MC12 supercar. The MC12 was made in accordance to the FIA GT racing requirements thus allowing Maserati to compete in the GT1 class. The 50 examples of this Maserati are very sought after and we believe there to be very few in the United States. This example (chassis 019404) is in amazing condition given the pedigree and that it has traveled only 1,162 miles (1,870km). Unveiled at the 2004 Geneva motor show, it was a very exclusive mid-engine model originally intended to be hand-built in just 25 units, all of which sold-out before its launch. Due to the MC12â&#x20AC;&#x2122;s considerable success, immediately followed up with numerous victories in the FIAâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s GT1 class, a second batch of 25 cars was built in 2005. Designed for high speed road use, the MC12 exceeds 205 mph at full throttle, sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The MC12 benefits from the Ferrari-Maserati Group's most advanced technologies and competition experience. It's naturally aspirated 6 liter V12 punches out 620hp at 7500 rpm, yet offers absolutely excellent driveability, remaining exceptionally lively and fluid even at low engine speeds. An aluminum crankcase, titanium con-rods and extremely efficient four valve cylinder heads are all part of its design. Four geardriven overhead camshafts provide perfect timing control. The unit was mated to Maserati's proven six-speed Cambiocorsa transmission, offering computerized gear selection. In Race mode, the system is mapped to deliver much faster gear changes and to activate the ASR. The MC12's independent wishbone front and rear suspension with anti-dive and anti-squat geometries and push-rod set-up offered an extremely progressive suspension response for exceptionally precise handling in all conditions. The stress-bearing chassis is made from a carbon fiber and Nomex honeycomb sandwich, while the two-seater coupĂŠ/spider bodywork is constructed entirely from carbon fiber, and features a removable hard top. The car's styling was developed in the wind tunnel by Maserati's own technicians with the invaluable contribution of Frank Stephenson, then in charge of the Ferrari Maserati Group's Concept Design and Development department. Intensive wind tunnel testing and advanced mathematical computations, combined with work on the track and on the road resulted in an extraordinarily efficient shape that exudes power and personality. All air intakes, vents and other aerodynamic components have been designed to optimize the car's internal fluid dynamics and air flows to ensure optimal down force and aerodynamic efficiency. Dodge SRT Hellcat

Dodge has created a beast with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat, a monster that we all want to tame. Dodge has upped the ante in the American muscle car market with their new Challenger SRT Hellcat; Dodge and SRT’s first application of a V8 supercharger. Now, with supercharged V8, you would expect the Hellcat to produce a decent amount of power. But to call it “a decent amount of power” is a huge understatement. Thanks to the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI, the Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT produces a massive 707 hp. This power output makes this muscle car the most powerful Challenger ever and the engine the most powerful V8 Dodge has ever produced. Handling all of the power is either a six-speed manual transmission or a new TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission – the first of its kind in a Challenger SRT model. Drivers of the Hellcat will also be able to choose from three driving modes, which alter the car’s overall performance by controlling horsepower, transmission shift speeds, steering, paddle shifters (automatic transmission only), traction and suspension.

These modes are Sport, Track and Default mode. Default mode is what the car is in automatically when the car starts, while Sport mode increases performance over Default mode. Ultimately, Track mode delivers the Hellcat’s maximum performance capabilities. Maintaining the car’s traction are a set of P275/40ZR20 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. These tires can be slapped on the 20 x 9.5-inch, lightweight forged-aluminum wheels finished in Brass Monkey/dark bronze, which are only available on the Challenger SRT Hellcat. On the car’s exterior, there have been plenty of modifications that correctly portray the Hellcat’s true power. The functional hood scoop not only aids in the engine’s cooling, but also adds to the muscle car styling. A new vertical-split grill and the “SUPERCHARGED” fender badges only add to the car’s already aggressive appearance.

This power comes from the award-winning twin-turbo 3.8-liter M838T V8 engine. The "S" stands for "Sport," referring to the developments made and applied to the handling, transmission, drivability and engagement. The 650S Coupe and Spider can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. The Coupe will complete a 0-124 mph run in just 8.4 seconds, with the Spider coming in at 8.6 seconds.
