They created the business that was to become an international design icon and a global symbol of audio-visual excellence Concept: Create a temporar y space for Bang & Olufsen that captivates curiosity through a vibrant and dynamic architectual space, along with an interactive sculpture. Media: The design will consist of high fidelity concept ar t for the temporar y space and various signage , graphic language, and an interactive sculpture.
Obstacles: Maintaining design language throughout the wayfinding and the overall environment design and concept for the interactive sculpture installation. . Key Benefits: This unique experience will allow Bang & Olufsen the ability to express their design philosophy through a media like never before. This will also demonstrate their ar tistic view, and cultural value to the world and how they are the leaders within this industr y of sound. Tone: Unique , Interactive, Visual, Dynamic Deliverable: One - Wayfinding System : Icons, Signage, Booths One - Light Installation Sculpture Concept
HISTORY Since 1925, Bang & Olufsen has been synonymous with the ar t of acoustic perfection. To this day our craftsmen still calibrate and tune ever y loudspeaker model by hand.
MoMA In March 1978 Bang & Olufsen and then-head designer Jacob Jensen opened a special exhibit at New York's Museum of Modern Ar t, only the third time in the museum's histor y that a company's products were given their ver y own exhibition. Today, fifteen Bang & Olufsen products are par t of its permanent design collections. Striking examples that embody the museum's strict criteria for both quality and historical significance. Designs, in fact, that helped shape the twentieth centur y..

Inspiration
VODAFONE Vodafone stand at the CeBIT computer fair. This includes the interior architecture and integrated light sculpture. All areas of the stand are connected through the monumental network-like light installation composed of 450 static and 250 Kinetic Lights elements. This unexpected light experience makes the Vodafone stand a particular adventure into the world of telecommunications.

MEANINGFUL INNOVATIONS
A lot of the wayfinding will be rather minimal and rely heavily on ambient lighting, and other super graphics . There will also be a path way of some sort, and a map to allow easy navigation.
Design Language
Design Language : This pattern will be the central design element used on multiple surfaces, and signage. It represents how sound travels around the physical world.
Surface Design / Forms : The overall space will contain dynamic structure to align with B&0’s design philosophy, staying true to black and white for most of the color language, and enriched and magical environment.
DESIGN PHASE
Modeling Structure : To make a the concept clear, and the project believable, using 3d software such as Cinema 4D will help bring the idea to life. The image is displaying a early version of the design.
SCULPTURE / CONCEPT
Interactive Sculpture
The core of this temporary space is to have an interactive 3d sculpture. The sculpture is highly inspired by quadric diffusion shapes, and the laborator y over at Bang & Olufsen’s. They use a special room called The Cube to test all of their products. Making sure the sound is perfect without distortion ,
The main design aesthetic I wanted the sculpture to contain is a rigged quadric structure, but slightly abstracted. Then mapped with a projector to create a highly visual responsive surface over the entire sculpture.
Interactive Sculpture
In order to have any kind of interactive ability , we have to use 3d mapping software to map the shape, then calibrate the sensor from mouse events to the kinnects motion detection. We can then use Unity 3D game developing software to make shapes do different things when you touch, or get near the sculpture.
