LETTER FROM OUR EDITOR & CEO The word “Gratitude” comes to mind when I look back over the past three years of laying the foundation to establish an honorary program for business and community leaders across the state of Mississippi for what we have the pleasure of knowing as The Best of Mississippi Awards. It was not an easy assignment with the onset of an atrocious pandemic looming across the globe. But by the grace of God, we’re still standing and thriving more than ever. Though we have a ways to go, our team is optimistic about the future of this statewide honorary platform. Why are we excited? Because Mississippi has never honored leaders through the eyes of God on a statewide platform. Business and community leaders who may seem insignificant because their size, stature, financial portfolio, race or gender have the opportunity to be recognized for the works of their hands on the same platform as those well-established organizations and corporations. I’m talking about people who would not otherwise have this noteworthy privilege if I had not moved in faith against all odds on January 21, 2020. The vision and mission of The Best of Mississippi Magazine is to bring awareness to its subscribers of the awesome people who lead in our state. Chanay. Madison is in competition cheer and is very charismatic. She enjoys gymnastics and meeting new friends. She’s also very photogenic and funny. Madison is an avid reader and highly intellectual in everything put before her. Madison spends much time at her grandparent’s business pretending to be the professional receptionist. She often tells the staff how to prioritize their day, doing things her way. Madison has a host of family she’d like to Thank for being a part of her success.
