. KEBONPISANG Designed as a built-environment where both the original organism and the ‘visiting’ organism can prevail, the project is an exploration on seeing a network of ecology as a space. This project, in its very core, offers a space for education in growing and maintaining banana. Located on the edge of a river with inclined ground in each side, the project is aimed to make the river the central ecological development of the site. This project also explores how an ecological development can provide a basis for positive future growth for both human and environment. Using the expansion and extension of river’s potential as the main water source, as well as the natural slope and the commercial possiblity of the project as a recreational space, the project also encourages collaboration of community to take care of the river ecosystem along with the project. This is Kebon Pisang.

The exploration to get the form was done by studying the space requirement for activities related to the planting of banana and placing the activities on the site. Exploration include finding the continuous flow where visitor can witness the whole process of planting until consumption of the native organism of the site: the banana.
was made into a cycle: the start and the end meet at a point. This to ensure the ecological connection of the whole thing inside the designed project. Human will enter and exit while learning a whole lot deal of banana, the banana will grow from seed, and any waste from it will return to the ground with an precise placement of function.
Flow is essential to ultimately translate the studied process into a spatial experience. The connection between space and the movement choreographed by the space is the literal experience expected from this project. The flow for both the human and the banana
There will also be a connection between the human that visits the Kebon and the human coming to take care of the Kebon. This is not only ensure quality of the work but also increase the connection between the visitor and those managing the Kebon.
inserting the program into the site while creating an abstraction beforehand help create a form that follows the requirement and the tectonic language intended.

. RE-IMAGININGTERMINAL BLOKM As a transit location near a noted and huge commercial areas, Blok M Terminal can be considered dying. Number of people visiting and using the terminal, the neighborhood park and the overall use are not as lively as the vibrant color and the lights from its surrounding: Blok M Mall, Little Tokyo or Bulungan. This project is a narrative to find an architecture based on issues found on a site. That being said, the architecture will become the solution to the issues. The three-dimensionality of the problem, along with its ‘wicked’ nature, requires a complex and yet wholesome answer. I try to look up the very core of the problem. Through a series of analysis with diagrams, mapping and visualization. I translate human’s very basic movement to a bigger urban scale project. This is reimagined terminal Blok M.

visualization of the ground-level part of Blok M Terminal. It has this characteristic, allowing direct visibility to almost every angle of the terminal.
16
The phenomenon is found in the terminal where the people of Terminal Blok M tend to violate the given space, the spatial strategy, provided by the infrastructure. How do they think of violating the rules even though the signage against the rule is set?
17
Human circulates in a rather random paths. The pattern can be observed and yet the path itself has never been clear. Their movement is rather dynamic in direction and orientation, due to their attempt in getting rid of any obstacles disturbing their personal space. These people are generally strangers, any instrusion are seen as a threat. Personal space really is without intrusion.
18
The goal of this two dimensional abstraction was to explore angles and possible pathways in which human perception of their personal space can be altered. By exploring human’s field of view and placing line that can be understood as plane or volume, one can expect to distract one’s view of someone’s personal space. The representation of people’s movement as seen from above. The circle represents one’s personal space. The abstraction of possible plane or volume separating one’s personal space to another. This explores direct spatial intervention in altering human behaviour. The zigzag are coming from the movement of typical human when an obstacle presents. This was also a visualization of a person’s field of view vertically. Presence of plane with ‘something’ on it is expected to distract one’s attention. So when one’s personal space collide with another, that one person wouldn’t notice due to the distraction. The plane should present in a way that a person can notice the presence of it. Distraction is introduced to eliminate realization that one’s personal space is intruded.

. MEKARSARICONCERT HALL Inspired by the empty and almost-feel-like-death space that dominated the site, came the idea to create a building that can make the space around it lights up and alive. The empty space near the main access road might be potential for some kind of convention center where the focus can only be the building and the event happening in the building itself. The nature dominated the site will be a beneficial environment for the building to erect. Since I want the building to be a new major focus and a new landmark for the site, I was thinking of bringing about the bigness that is totally different from the site, a striking image of something totally unique from the surrounding. that is a bigness one can distinguish. Build with space frame as the structure, I explore the technological aspect of this structure to present a form, unique like no others. This is Mekarsari Concert Hall.

The axonometric, sectional and perspective of the project were my attempt to capture how the project might be built and what the feeling I want to evoke through the imagery of m project.

. KOBERCREATIVE HUB
The project was a continuation of a typological studies done on some presendences. The idea was based on a site analysis where the potential issue to develop was creativity among youth. The site was a residential area filled with many young workers and colllege students named Kober. The project was a creative hub: a place which brings creative people together. It is a gatehrer, providing space and support for networking, business development and community engagement within teh creative, cultural and tech sectors. Comprising of series of function, abstractions help create the final form. This is Kober Creative Hub.

INtheWOMB A sketch of human’s very first experience of space. This is literally the first space human trying to occupy during their life, the womb.

ORGANIC INORGANIC This series of mixed-media art was largely inspired by the work of Erwin Schrdinger who wrote “What is Life?. In there, he mentions that living being avoid decay into disorder and equilibrium. That being said, living things live by creating order. Reminded me of architecture, how the disorderly world comes to order.

IDOLSERIES This series of digital art was a tribute to those people whom I supposed should be an idol for this generation. Their work inspire my view toward world and life. These are (from left to right): Neil de Grasse Tyson, the Irwins and Carl Sagan.
