We took 2020 off for more reasons than just COVID, after 23 years of putting on the Foundation Female Sale it was time for a reset/reflection period. After taking the summer off from picturing and preparing for a sale I realized this is simply in my blood and there is no denying that. Very few people in this world are given the opportunity to travel the country and visit a wide variety of operations to look at the progeny they produced in the calving season. “For 20+ calf crops I’ve witnessed the changes in this industry”, and I can tell you for a fact when you come across those very few great ones each year it’s a feeling that’s almost impossible to replicate. This sale is like no other, in that it blends cattle and producers from across all spectrums, production styles, and goals into one place to let the market decide what the most highly sought after type and kind is for that specific moment. “All while still giving each producer the credit for their hard work”. For me sales like this are the “true show ring”, and determining factor, placing value with hard earned dollars and cents. “Every evaluation/purchase is made based on profitability, not agenda, pride, or ego.” The cattle and genetics represented in this sale book are backed by some of the best herds you may or may not have heard of in the nation. “Many breed changers in the last decade originated from herds you’ve never heard of, and State Fair winners out of cows from sales you’ve never attended or simply overlooked. I’m a fan of diversity in this industry and cannot conform to a status quo. If your herd is in a rut and your looking to improve. Hit the road, expand your search zone, and open your mind to another option, you’ll find the type and kind your searching for whether it’s here or elsewhere. The key is to see them in the flesh!” I’m a big believer that at this moment in the cattle industry the little guy has a leg up on the large operations. The saturation of flushing and ET work across the country has allowed smaller herds the opportunity to tie into tremendous cow families at a price point in which a large segment of the population can produce profitability. Smaller herds can adapt and change at an ever increasing rate of efficiency which will only add to their profitability over the long haul. The cattlemen and women represented in this book are offering the cream of their crop for this years sale. We have reduced the numbers for this years Foundation Female Sale and that reduction has come at the cost of the lower end of the sale. I truly believe that this is the deepest set of cattle and genetics that has ever been offered in the history of the Foundation Female Sale. You may not have heard of some of the cow families being highlighted but I can guarantee you that when you see their progeny you’ll be impressed. I have hand selected the consignors to this year’s sale to only offer cattle from people that I would trust to do business with personally. These people stand behind their product and have you the end user in mind.

It’s no secret I have some big shoes to fill replacing my dad as the lead on this sale. Bob gave me arguably the greatest gift a person could receive and that was the “opportunity to be in the room” It’s impossible to put a price on the lessons learned from the top individuals and herds in the country when your able to sit in the room as a young person and listen to them discuss business at an early age. I can’t thank him enough for that opportunity. I also must take this opportunity to thank my mother for everything she does for my dad and I. She spent 30+ years working for the State of Illinois at Western Illinois University in the accounting department and that was probably easier and less complicated than working for the two of us. Cathy will be pulling double duty sale weekend as my sister Kim is due with her 3rd child right about the same time as sale weekend. Kim, Chris, Mya, & Abby Jo can’t wait for the next addition to their herd to enter the world and those of us in Roseville look forward to this added lot as well! With that I look forward to welcoming each of you to Macomb, Illinois for the “Next Generation Foundation Female Sale” and I hope you’ll find what your looking for Sunday August 29, 2021. Be sure to note we have moved off Labor Day weekend. If you have any questions or would like to talk cattle give me a call. I have screened every lot in this sale and stand behind each of them, I truly feel each lot being offered can offer value added genetics to your program. With Illinois responsible for the 2022 Simmental Junior Nationals we have decided to offer up an opportunity to flush any donor female currently in the arsenal in Roseville, IL. These females are the foundation for our program and offer you a chance at some new genetics. Donors are selected based on performance not purchase price, thus these females are known for fertility, milk, and the ability to raise their own value added calf without the assistance of a recip cow base. We very rarely offer genetic lots out of our own cattle so make sure you are on hand to tie into this cow base as well as to help out a great cause. It’s no secret that Junior Nationals are a complicated, expensive, and a time consuming undertaking each summer and the American Junior Simmental Association & Darla Aegerter have done a tremendous job over the years putting on this event. 100% of the money taken in will be donated to the Illinois Junior Simmental Association. We guarantee a minimum of 6 transferrable embryos with an unlimited cap. All flush work to be done with Westwood Embryo. Buyer to pay ET work and semen costs. Heifer Sexed Pregnancies Offering 250 units to sell in packages of 10 units. This will be the only JBSF Road Trip Semen to sell this year! Semen sells as Lots 1A - 1Y.

Bar QH JBSF Raven stole the show in Grand Island, NE as she was noted for being so right for the times. That female is ultra correct at the ground, wide based, great haired, and extra soft. This females winning ways started in Oklahoma at the Cattlemen’s Congress and have yet to show any signs of stopping, I’d lookout for her the rest of the fall show season. Raven was raised by Bar QH and was placed by Bloomberg, Schmitt, & Hueber. Her sire is a complete out cross that John & Alicia Sandidge purchased from the Bloomberg family a few years back. Last year represented the first true test on that herd sire and he hit it out of the park especially when you take into account the limited number of head he was used on. He placed a few daughters in the Pride of the Prairie sale who sold very well last December along with the AJSA Junior National Champion, his progeny have all come stamped with a flat shoulder, great neck extension, and a dead level top. JBSF Road Trip died last spring and his semen was pulled off the market at that time. This sale will be your only chance this fall to tie into semen on JBSF Road Trip, and there is a very limited amount of semen on this bull banked up as he died at a young age. The semen will be offered in packages of 10 units and will be available for shipment as soon as paid in full. Along with the semen being offered Bar QH will be offering IVF sexed heifer embryos that will result in a full sibling to that dominant female Sara Sullivan is campaigning. Guarantee one pregnancy per package as long as the embryos are implanted by a certified embryologist.

If you’re in tune with the ins and outs of the Simmental breed, chances are you’ve heard of this infamous Hoya Saxa donor. Her daughters are so right for the time being extra soft made, great on their feet and legs, and yet stay so tight in their chest floor. To say she has done incredible things for our herds is nothing short of impeccable. Hoya Saxa (a.k.a Madonna) has generated champions year after year, no to mention big dollars for the incredible females she has produced. If you haven’t heard of Crystal Gayle get ready to see her highlighted for years to come. In my opinion this cow represents the type and kind we are all currently looking for, a female who crosses the plane between the show ring and production with minimal sacrifices in each arena. I came across Crystal Gayle as a baby and she hit me from the first step, you have no idea how many head I’ve seen as babies highlighted over the years as great ones and just how few actually hit me as great ones instantly (I’m talking literally 1 head every few years, and it’s simply a gut feeling when you see them). As much as it pained me not to snatch her up, I told Andrew and Chuck not to sell her for any money as she was simply one of those once in a lifetime females who simply cannot be priced accurately. Financially I regret not going after snatching this one up but seeing the success Speas Farms has had with her makes it all worth it. Gayle was shown by Speas Farms as well as Derrer Farms during her career with limited results as she was too much of an outlier, and the judges didn’t know what to do with her so she was tossed to the side. To their credit Andrew & Chuck, didn’t let the show ring set backs defer their belief in this one and turned down a lot of offers and stayed hitched to this female and the calf crop that hit the ground in 2021 show that we all weren’t wrong in believing in this critter. Gayle has produced an outstanding flush of Relentless calves being offered right here and the reports on the Bankroll’s and Antidote’s across the country are outstanding. This female is a once in a decade type of female, as she is so right for the times with the big name bulls on the market today being built perfectly for her build. Bid up with confidence on the heifer pregnancies being offered as well as the embryo lots being sold. This female is known for being very sticky so if you select the recips in the right rig you will be likely to stick 2 out of 3 in most cases, we put in 22 IVF Heifer embryos by her this spring and stuck 16 pregnancies at 70 days. After seeing this set of Relentless daughters, Dwyer Cattle & Slater Farms went ahead and purchased more embryos by this Elite level female and plan to have more of her daughters highlighted in calf crops for years to come.

When it comes to selecting those very few Elite Level females each year the differences become so small and are hard to separate. As I hit the road this spring I witnessed only a few that could run against this pair when placed into the correct home. The set of daughters Gayle produced here in Roseville have that three dimensional design we are all looking for, without having to use a heavy feed bucket to create rib capacity and soft look. The split eared version, 124J, at the moment is my pick as a show female as she is longer necked and more extreme in her features and silhouette. This female grabs your attention quickly with her unique combination of a tight neck and added mass when you get behind her. I’ve been keeping these females extra lean all summer and plan to do so all the way through sale time, to keep them in the right rig for the long haul. The 133J female has been my pick for a difference maker in production all year, as she is simply a no holes type of heifer. If it was my money I wouldn’t worry about the judges opinion and tie into this one. This female is deeper flanked and easier fleshing than her younger sister but lacks her chiseled/flat neck and zero chest floor, for my type she is near perfection for a breeding piece and if you study her length from hook to pin bone I’d bet if you put a ruler to it she’d measure over 12 inches in length. She’s got that Coleman/Sandeen skeleton holding her up. The 133J female needs to be grown slow and trusted to put it all together within a few weeks notice with the feed bucket, no push or high dollar feed required. I have really enjoyed watching this pair of females develop this spring and summer and can’t wait to see how they look when they hit their end point. When it comes to analyzing 133J as a show ring heifer you really need to see her tied up, this pair is so tame that 133J often gives a dead headed look. When you see this one tied up she is a whole different beast. I look forward to working with this pairs new owners when they hit the production phase of their careers. Study the cow power, being backed by one of the all time great Angus females, Coleman Donna 386, as well as the premier cow families in the Simmental herd book Sandeen Donna 8386 and Miss Werning KP 8543U. This pair represents some of the finest show ring/production cattle to ever be born in our part of Roseville, IL. We don’t believe in retaining you’re entire calf crop so we will be offering 100% interest in these females and look forward to being able to purchase embryos/flushes from their new owner in the future. Donor #: 2745060 - Sire #: 3419044 - PB Sim If you haven’t been following the Ferguson Show Cattle Program the last few years you may have missed out on one of the power cows of the entire Simmental Breed. TNGL A Gemstone A527 was purchased in Louisville for $20,000 by Ferguson Show Cattle & Windy Ridge. When Windy Ridge dispersed Ferguson Show Cattle went ahead and bought her out in her entirety. This female raised WRS Fine & Dandy who was named Champion % Simmental at the AJSA North Central Regional Classic. A527 is also responsible for producing a pair of red heads in Roseville, IL in 2021 who have been fan favorites of many who have stopped in their travels this summer. The red heads where purchased as embryo lots out of this very sale, and go to show you just how sticky this cow is. Mike Cox purchased 3 embryos and ended up with 3 live calves at weaning. If you select recips in good heat, and good condition you will more than likely stick 2-3 on this mating. Another 2021 daughter by Mr CCF 20-20 will be a highlight in our fall sale the last weekend of September and will be on display at the Ohio State Fair. ET Open Heifer - Embryo Split Twin - DNA Submitted 7/5

ET Open Heifer - Embryo Split Twin - DNA Submitted 7/5

This pair of red headed daughters of Fort Knox have been attention getters since day one. Being out of the great Gemstone female who currently resides in the donor pen at Ferguson Show Cattle of Ohio it’s easy to see where the power is coming from. These two red females are extremely similar in there construction at a basic level, both being shorter backed, thick skulled, chiseled fronted, square at the ground, with enough hair to make a difference in the show ring. Imagine the ideal Irish Whiskey cow and you’ll see this pair in the shadow. Where these two females separate is one is a half a frame score bigger. I really believe that although these females weren’t necessarily created to make show steer makers these two would excel in the clubby world once their show careers conclude. It is so hard right now to find PB Simmentals that are moderate enough in their frame score as well as short enough backed to create a high end steer but I really think this pair could make some killer steers that will pass the DNA tests. I love the natural skeletal width that this pair possesses as well as the fact that all four wheels point in the right direction, and they have that perfect set to their hind wheels. Be sure you look this pair up sale weekend, as the mating potential is limitless on both a purebred scenario as well as a cross bred program. Not to mention the fact that these two were produced as an embryo split which produced twins, I dare you to find a better set of twins in the country than this pair. If nothing else in this sale fancies you this pair will be worth your drive to Macomb to evaluate. Both females are Homozygous Polled. If the current slate of judges in this country would take the time to walk behind the cattle they placed, instead of picking the hardest doing longest necked ones this pair would gravitate towards the top, thankfully many of these judges don’t have to raise cattle for a living. Put one or both of this pair into your show barn and force the matter on making three dimensional cattle great again! Consigned by, Dwyer Cattle & Mike Cox

Sire ASA #: 2911662 - Donor ASA #: 3152293 - PB Sim Here is your only chance this fall to land embryos by Foxy. This exciting donor female for Everhart Cattle in her first ET calf crop in 2020 produced a pair of W/C Relentless daughters one sold for $67,500 in the Donors & Divas Sale, as well as another daughter sold by Jason Bihl for $7500. One of those females went on to be named Reserve PB Simmental at the Hoosier Beef Congress, while the other female has made multiple backdrop pictures during the spring 2021 Jackpot Season. Foxy didn’t show a single sign of slowing up this spring with her 2021 calf crop producing daughters who have already been selected by Hartman Cattle, Paulsen Cattle, Bowlin Cattle, & Jason Bihl. The Foxy daughters, who will be offered later this fall will sit the winning bidder on this set of embryos in the drivers seat for years to come. The Profit mating created one of the top open heifers I came across this spring, as she was a perfect blaze face, with a great attitude, and a soft rib design. Everhart’s Foxy progeny hit me in the same mold as SFIS Crystal Gayle, if you’re serious about the Purebred Simmental business I’d make sure you’re on hand in person or online to tie into this breed changing female. ET Open Heifer - DNA Submitted 7/5/21. Turnpike x Sheza Babe has clicked here for 3 years running now. The Turnpike females offer a shot of outcross genetics without sacrificing the show look we have all come to expect from the Dream On/Steel Force/Broker bloodline. The Kane family of Roseville, IL is showing a full sibling to this female this summer. I really like the added bone, powerful hip, slick hides, and added frame that this mating creates. Not to mention for an outcross mating, the progeny tie high into their shoulder and neck set. The Sheza Babe progeny that we have had over the years are extremely fertile, and are later developing (if you like them sale week you’ll love them come next spring). The Sheza Babe donor has been producing high quantities of sticky embryos well into the late years of her production cycle which will lend well to progeny in production. If you’re looking to purchase a heifer who can make a impact on your program get this female bought and raise a bull her to utilize in your program. IVF Heifer Sexed Pregnancy due 3/11/22

Perfect Blaze Face, striking silhouette, and a look to build a program around best describe 608H. This female blends muscle and femininity into a near ideal design. 608H is out of an up and coming donor for the Jarr Cattle program of Bloomfield, IA who was a past high selling female for Werning Cattle Company of South Dakota. This female was greened up early in the summer and is just now starting to come on, I can only imagine how good she’ll be looking come sale weekend. 608H is halter broke and would make a great show project for the fall show season. Be sure to look her up in the flesh, real deal here! Within the last 3 years Jarr Cattle of Bloomfield, Iowa decide to make a shift and reach out and select donors at the highest of levels to drastically change their resulting calf crops. During this shift one of the top donors they selected was the 608D female from Werning Cattle of South Dakota, that female has dramatically changed the future of their program. In the 2020 & 2021 sale season 608D produced one of the top selling open heifers in both the Hawkeye Simmental Sale as well as the Iowa Beef Expo Simmental Sale. Her calf crop by Mr CCF 20-20 was nothing sort of spectacular that season. Jarr Cattle will offer up a full sibling guaranteed heifer pregnancy to 608H. Bid up with confidence in this cow family, recip will be on site for inspection and loading sale weekend. Bred Heifer Consigned by, Lauren Glick - Heifer Pregnancy Consigned by, Jarr Cattle

Two Love 305D is an outstanding donor female for Sloup Simmentals of Nebraska & Abercrombie Cattle Company of Kansas who is flat getting the job done for their programs. When we saw embryos available by her times Fort Knox available we jumped at the opportunity as I really thought this was the type of cow Fort Knox might just click on. The combination of a hunch and a bit of luck and 2 resulting pregnancies later and these females are available for you to sort through. The brockle faced female is striking on the profile and just gives that wow look in the pasture, she shucked her hair as soon as we weaned her so she doesn’t have the soft look in this picture but once her hair comes back I really think this one will be something special. The 122J female is one of those rare purebred females who doesn’t seem to shuck hair, this one has been clubby haired since birth and has continued to grow even through the heat of the summer. This female is the flater made of the two and has more set to her hind leg. I’ll leave it to you all as to which one to purchase first in the ring. Consigned by, Slater Farms & Dwyer Cattle

Embryo Transfer Open Heifer - DNA Submitted 7/5/21.

Every time I go through the pasture checking health I can’t help but get pissed at myself that I’m simply wasting the potential of 642. This female simply screams a flush to Here I Am, but I have a love/hate relationship with Club Calves and shaggy haired cattle, so it never happens. It’s so hard to create cattle with this much power who are still able to stride out like a cat. This Broker female is huge footed, big boned, and powerful at every angle you view her. This female checks all the boxes for a Club Calf powerhouse when it comes to pedigree backed by Broker, Irish Whiskey, Black Bear, & Meyer 734 not to mention the immortal Triple Crown Winning RF Black Jade cow family who ruled the roost at Bonnell Show Cattle & Wolfe Show Cattle in Indiana. Get this one bought and be smarter than I am and do that flush to Here I Am, you can go ahead and thank me later I’ll just be happy that she is being utilized to her full potential. I’ve retained a heifer by FFC Nick and an ET daughter by KMJ Husker sells at side. This Husker daughter is shaggy haired, soft pasterned, and has that awesome profile we are all searching the country for. Her 2021 calf will make an impact in the show ring as well as make a versatile breeding piece in production, mate her up to a Maine bull and look out for big success in the Mainetainer division. Safe AI 12/22/20 to W/C Bankroll 1119F

482D - There is not much left to say about a Broker female that hasn’t already been said. But this one in particular – powerfully constructed, exceptionally sound, and oh so elegant – can be wrapped up in one sentence. Her record production is just as accomplished. Daughters by Revolution, Loaded Up, and this highlight by Relentless – all that were exactly what they were supposed to be. The proof is undeniable, and her future is oh so predictable. This is a must have piece for any astute cow collector. D482H - When a Relentless is good, they are really good. This one brings so many positives to the table starting with structure. Set in motion, this one gets out and goes compliments of a long level skeleton that goes forward into a smooth shoulder supporting a beautiful neck that ties in high and right. Also, a major plus for this mid- November baby, she will be in a completely different division. Imagine what this one will look like by state fair time. Heavy bred and ready to take on all comers, this is a very complete package with tons of potential. Consigned by, Derrer Farms

Natural Open Heifer Safe AI 12/20/20 to Good As It Gets 81F - This smoke brockle is just flat powerful. Take five minutes to study this beast. She has the natural muscle shape, dimension, structure, and that incredible presence to get it done at a very high level. She has only been bred maternal to this point but breed her next spring to HIA, IGWT, or WID and I truly believe that the sky is the limit. Another outcross female that is young and ready to roll with a quick return coupon inside, this definitely is as good as it gets. 81H - This one won’t be hard to find. 81H is exactly what you would expect out of a cow family that is stacked for generations with maternal legends. Darbie has a disposition that will suit any young showman and the quality to go compete at any level. Being a December, she will compete in a totally different division. Breed her up for an early one and I promise you by August, they won’t see you coming. They will hear this ground- breaking beast heading for the ring. This is a high Chi prospect with a future well beyond the show ring. Consigned by, Derrer Farms

Natural Open Heifer B109E - People ask us if we will run out of WMW cows, and my answer is probably not til we run out of semen. They are timeless and work so well on today’s club calf bulls. This moderate framed female has posted some exceptional stats since just entering the league in 2019. Her rookie season she traded a No Worries steer calf at $4000 and set back a Class on Class Heifer in 2020. Check out her Justify half- blood at side – she is way cool! These powerful out cross females don’t grow on trees, and they are not usually offered up at four years of age. Safe to the hottest bull in the country! Grab hold of this opportunity. 109J - Looking for a half blood Simmy heifer?? Well, here’s one to tie into. She is moderate and well balanced with that ultra- cool show heifer look. She is sound structured; extremely fluid on the move; and a side profile that gets the nod time and time again. Justify is making cattle that will stand at the backdrop but more importantly will stand the test of time. This is a prospect that will stand the appraisal of the most discriminating. Ms Jacket - Possibly one of the most underrated bulls in our show cattle world – Yellow Jacket. Circumference of foot and bone is where you have to start on this one – followed by hip, muscle, and pure power. Cap that off with a killer look and an excellent disposition and you have one very complete show cow making momma. I wish we had pictures of her two MAB daughters here on the farm because they are a couple of my favorites. Her last year steer by Wynn In Doubt is looking at a very promising fall. We all know what HIA is capable of on the right cow and I am pretty sure this one is right. 48J - Epstein and purple banners, two things that don’t hang themselves. Jeffrey had Hillary and, lucky for you, this red beauty is available to assist in your endeavors. When you get one that’s fun to work on, it makes life in the show barn that much easier. This one comes loaded with all the components – foot, bone, hair, mass and look- in a maternal show cattle pedigree that will work for years to come. This red is as right as rain and I promise you, she won’t leave you hanging! Consigned by, Derrer Farms

Safe AI 4/19 to Heifer Sexed ZWT Summit 6507 I have been stopping into Cresting Creek Farms for quite a few years now, getting close to a decade at this point and I’m always impressed by the power cows this herd produces. The Scherr family produces big bodied, high volumed Angus cattle who perform on grass, not a feed bucket which is a hard thing to find East of the Mississippi. They have cattle with an added look, great feet, and check all the boxes when it comes to real world production. This Soo Line Motive daughter has been one of my herd favorites for years and they have banked up enough daughters now to let her go. Their top sire group of calves this year in my opinion where out of ZWT Summit, who is an SAV Renown x Coleman Donna 714. These Summit calves where stout built, easy fleshing, and built for the long haul, they may not be show cattle but they are the type to pay the bills year after year. Bid with confidence.

Safe AI 4/15 to OHL Gunner 7263G This one is a breath of fresh air. Moderate in her build, great udder, added power, and a chiseled front end. Simply the type of Angus female I love to look at and raise. This female has clicked on Guyman, Panther Creek Incredible, as well as a really nice star headed son by Broker this spring. This year I choose to mate her to Gunner as that bull struck me hard this winter. Gunner is a LD Capitalist going back to the great Lazy H Bar Forever Lady 5001, show look with real world performance. Don’t sleep on this proven cow. She’s more impressive in person than her picture shows her off to be. Consigned by, Slater Farms & Dwyer Cattle

Safe AI 12/23/20 to W/C Executive Order 8543B One of the must see females sale weekend. This Bardot female is the kind that’s so hard to create, striking on the profile and has the perfect rib and underline design. This one doesn’t give a bad look at any angle you view her and she is backed by one of the top bulls in the Simmental herd book. The Angus side of her pedigree is extremely potent as well. A maternal sibling to 427 was the National Champion Cow/ Calf pair in 2016 for the Schnoor family and sold through the Express Ranch Big Evernt Sale for $160,000. The 427 female is currently a donor for Deppe Angus in Iowa and has progeny being highlighted in his annual Bull Sale in the spring. The power is bred deep and is Homo Black & Polled!

PE 7/1 till 8/15 to Dwyer Meat Wagon 028H (3757721) Our cornerstone Donor Cow here folks. She has been such an incredible cow for us flushing well(10+ embryos/ flush) and producing some great cattle as her Upper Class daughter offered in this sale proves. We are retaining daughters by Meant to Be and are offering up a Heifer Pregnancy as well in this sale by W/C Double Down. We also have some embryos in the tank. Her April born Relentless bull calf has a bright future. She will be bred to the cool Dwyer Meat Wagon bull owned by our good friend Jr. Prochnow of DBJR Ranch and raised by Nick Dwyer. She is owned by our son Marcus and was his first donor so she is hard to let go, however Marcus is getting married on October 2nd and is selling multiple animals here hoping to help fund the wedding! Safe AI 4/5 to W/C Night Watch 84E It’s pretty darn hard to get Ron Cox to part with a bred heifer, especially one that’s this good and a Broker daughter. ET Open Heifer - DNA Submitted for EPD Data 7/23

You’re going to be seeing a lot of Lazy H Bar Forever Lady 8108 “Nicki” popping up over the next few years, as we have utilized her heavily for next year’s calf crop. 8108 is a daughter of the 326 female who was the top seller in the historic Lazy H Bar Dispersal, a full sibling to 8108 was successfully campaigned by the Stockdale family of Pennsylvania in 2019 and currently resides as a donor for Campbell Land & Cattle. A full sibling in blood to these females was highlighted in the Donors & Divas Sale in the Fall of 2020 and brought $14,000. Not to mention 8108 goes back to the Million Dollar Plus Lazy H Bar Forever Lady 5001 female. This pair of Style daughters fit the mold of their donor dam and the generations who have come before being ultra correct in their spine as well as the way in which they tie into their tail heads. These Style daughters are bold in their rib design, great on the profile, and have the hair needed to compete. We only had two in this flush to Style and it’s so hard to pick the best of the two, which leads me to believe we are going to need to flush her back that way in the near future. You really need to study this pair in the flesh to make a determination on who the superior female is as I go back and forth daily. Registration numbers will be on the supplement sheet by sale day. ET Open Heifer There may only be 3 Registered Angus open heifers in this sale but I can assure you if you’re serious about the Angus business you’ll want to make sure you look over all of them. This Paradox daughter is ultra choke necked, yet still has that soft look about her. 212 goes back to our Style donor who has been cranking out quality females calf crop after calf crop. If you’re looking to make a run in a different division than the majority make sure you get to Macomb to view this one in the flesh. Consigned by, Draper Family Cattle & Tom Vary

Natural Open Heifer 704D1 is a tattoo that will be built into your memory bank soon! We kept back a pair of first calvers by 704D x Turnpike this year who have developed into two of the most impressive first calvers who have been around our part of Roseville in recent memory. Not all cattle are destined for the show ring and I’m not sure that this Pays to Believe daughter is destined for any sort of National Level show success but when you get the chance to study her in person I’m sure you’ll agree that she is the type that’s hardest to duplicate. I’ve long been a believer that skeletal width is easier to remove than it is to create and this one brings the power. This P2B daughter displays her dam’s added foot size, depth of heel, powerful bone work, width from hooks to pins, as well as added length and extension. If the show ring was about a herd mentality this one would become an outlier, but the point in that arena is a perfect singular individual. If you are trying to build a herd of production cattle this female would be on my short list. She’s just one generation away from Bleeding Pure with 5001 in the pedigree! Natural Open Heifer

C541 & 141J paired up in the pasture

This one is probably the hardest for me to part with, she may not be the show heifer of the group but her real world value is hard to quantify. This complete outcross female is out of my all time favorite cow maker in the herd C541. I have never offered a daughter by C541 before, and I really don’t want to offer this one, but since it is my first sale I feel compelled to offer up my favorites and see what you all want to buy. C541 consistently breeds first service AI, never needs any extra attention, and stamps her progeny with an unmatched easy feeding design, and picture perfect udder. This ones maternal sibling by Turnpike entered the donor pen after just her first calf and was flushed to Wheatland Man O’War, producing 13 embryos as a first calver at just 65 days post calving. This Innovator daughter is my type all day long, no holes, and three dimensional in her build. Study this one at the ground and her toes point forward, her hooves are big and deep, every joint is set at the proper angle, and she ties into her tail head perfectly, which is so hard to do in a purebred package. This female doesn’t have the wow factor neck and isn’t huge framed but I’d argue she’s the type and kind that’s hardest to make. Not to mention you can expand her pedigree to the extreme and you won’t find a single shot of Dream On or Meyer 734 bloodlines. What you will find is a line bred Mr NLC Upgrade being stacked multiple times. Study her on paper and this one reads top 10% for WW, YW, REA, CW, & TI, and top 20% for ADG, MWW, Marb, & API. She should be much better numbered when it comes to BW & CE as her dam consistently produces calves in the 60-70# range. If you’re looking to make the next great purebred Simmental bull this female has to be on your short list this fall as she carries all the hard to create traits LOOK, OUTCROSS GENETICS, Fleshing Ability, & DATA. This one may never find her way to any national level show ring success but I’d hate to bet against her in terms of production and dollars produced, one outcross bull alone will more than pay her way. I don’t believe in retained ownership thus this female will sell in her entirety, and I hope to be able to purchase embryos from her new owner in the future. Homozygous Black, untested on Polled. Natural Open Heifer Pays to Believe x Broker, is a combination that just keeps on clicking all across the country. 12J is a cool necked young female who has done 100% since being weaned and pictured. This purebred female is ultra correct on the profile and gets out on the move with the best of them. Be sure to study this young lady sale weekend, she’ll be a tough one to get around next year. Consigned by, Swing Shift Simmentals

Natural Open Heifer This one will grab your attention sale weekend. 13J is awesome haired, extra long bodied, and comes out high out of her shoulder blade. We had great luck with the Follow Me sire group this spring and this female represents the cream of that crop of heifers, make sure you are on hand to check this beast out. Her picture was taken 14 days after weaning, so just imagine what she’ll look like by sale weekend. Consigned by, Swing Shift Simmentals

Embryo Transfer Open Heifer

Embryo Transfer Open Heifer

Here is a heifer that leaves me speechless. Red Simmentals have been becoming more popular over the years but this female is not just another red Simmental. Passion is out of our TK Heart Barbie donor that raised the $10,500 female sold in this sale a few years ago and we feel this heifer is even better at her age. She is big ribbed, great fronted and sound. The only reason this female is selling is because we let Nick have choice of the calves. Make sure to have this red head on your list sale day! Consigned by, Kitzerow Cattle Company

This TK Heart Barbie x Profit mating has not disappointed. The Desire female is the deepest bodied and deepest flanked calf out of this mating that we have had to date. We feel that when this female is done showing she could fine her way to the front donor pen. Make sure to look this heifer up on sale day! Consigned by, Kitzerow Cattle Company

Natural Open Heifer During my travels this spring the S.A.M. sire group hit me about as hard as any new bull for 2021. His progeny had the neck from Relentless with a shot more power and depth of flank than his sire. This particular female has been an eye catcher since day one. 793 is long necked and spined, extra loose in her joint angles, and yet doesn’t sacrifice in terms of skeletal width. 793 is out of a Broker x LLSF Eye Candy female who produced a $4000 son by TKCC Exclusive last year. This particular female is one of the youngest in our group but she may offer one of the most competitive show ring designs of any in the offering. Be sure to look at the hoof size on this female as she is arguable the biggest footed female in the offering. If you’re looking to run at a high level be sure to look her up. Consigned by, Dwyer Cattle & Mike Cox

16J was pictured at three weeks past weaning and I can assure you that since her picture she has done nothing but put it on. This puppy dog tame heifer was succesfully shown at the Jerseyville fair by a first year showman and won her class and division at that show. 16J will also be in our show string at the Illinois State Fair if you would like to get a look at her their prior to her time arriving in Macomb. This female is ultra correct in her front one third, bold in the center point of her body, and has plenty of mass when you get behind her. You won’t be disappointed when you see her in the flesh. Great option for a first year show family. Consigned by, Ebersole Show Cattle

184C continues to get it done year after year. Her first calf by Lock Down commanded $3750 going to Nebraska, that next year she produced a $6500 daughter by Revival who was a Division Winner at Junior Nationals for the Glick Family and was purchased by Grandview Livestock of Iowa. A 1143Y daughter has been retained in the herd and this year’s calf by Husker is being offered now. This year’s version is by far the shaggiest haired, stoutest made daughter ever produced. This Husker female is stout featured, long spined, and way good haired. This particular female has the extra muscle and powerful design her siblings never replicated. Be sure to check her out sale weekend. I utilized Husker last season as he went back to one of the best Black Bear daughters we ever produced. I thought the added shot of bone and hoof size was highly needed in the show ring today and it seems he brought that to the table with his calf crop in Roseville. Consigned by, Dwyer Cattle

This Broker daughter is one who is hard to part with, as I love every Broker daughter in the herd, and I thank the Simmental Association every day for devaluing this line of genetics so a cheapskate like me could buy in at a discounted price point. 810 has been an absolute pet since day one, she’s always the first one to the four wheeler looking for attention and a pet. She’s ready for a Young Junior/Timid show person and will make a great first time show heifer. This female is stout built, wide at the ground, and has that wedge shape build we are all currently striving for. Her dam is a Loaded Up female who produced a high quality Nigh Watch daughter for her first calf who will be offered later this fall. Be sure to look this one up sale weekend. I’d argue the Broker x Loaded Up cross will be popping up regularly and successfully for the next 3-5 years in the high percentage Simmental world. Currently this is my favorite bloodline cross in the Simmental herd book when it comes to show ring production. Consigned by, Slater Farms & Dwyer Cattle

Embryo Transfer Open Heifer A Profit daughter out of one of the best daughters of Mr CCF 20-20 I’ve ever run across. This one’s dam was selected by PB Simmentals as a top selling female for the Frankenreider program, and if you ever get the chance to look at Brad & Penny’s cow herd make sure they show you this cow. 82J2 is perfect necked with a good rib cage on her. This one was pictured the same week she was weaned to don’t judge her on condition simply study her skeleton and you’ll see she has the pieces to be a cool made purebred. Consigned by, PB Simmentals

Embryo Transfer Open Heifer This Hammer Time daughter was short weaned at the time of picturing so she was lacking the bloom at that point in time but I can assure you come sale weekend you won’t recognize her. E70J is deep flanked and long from hooks to pins which lends me to believe she’ll come together by August 29th and beyond. This female has a good attitude and is out of a highly productive cow family. Check out her video, you won’t be disappointed in her results. Consigned by, PB Simmentals

Here’s a real sale feature for the percentage division. I toured through Diamond A Farms this spring and their calf crop by Bankroll x 406 was simply incredible. It’s so rare to find a mating in the show ring that works equally well in producing bulls as well as heifers but this mating hit in both arenas. I simply didn’t find a throw away in this entire flush. This female was my pick of the entire group for her future prowess in the show ring. When you study her skeleton it’s hard to find faults as she ties into ever angle with ease and grace. Missie is clean chested, and tight necked, with ample spring to her rib cage. If you’re looking to make a run at state fair next year hitch your wagon to this female. If you would like to see this one prior to Macomb she will be on display in the stalls at the Illinois State Fair, then she’ll make the trip to Roseville from there. Great attitude and option for first year family. Consigned by, Diamond A Farms

Every Open Heifer in this sale is not only broke to tie they are also broke to lead. Many of these heifers have already been to a fair as well. If you have a first time show person this offering will offer a great option for your family.

SLTR Forever Lady 016H - Shown by, Quentin Day Taking the year off limited the amount of heifers who were placed into the show ring, having only sold 10 opens, but the few that made it the ring have been very successful. The biggest highlight of 2021 thus far has been the Champion Division VII Female for the Day Family of Illinois at the Angus Junior Nationals. We also got to place heifers into 2 first time show families who have done a great job with their prospects. Really appreciate the Kane Family of Roseville, IL and the Aden Family of Nebraska for trusting heifers from us for their first show projects. Bringing the Next Generation into the ring is far more exciting than any individual awards. Look forward to being able to highlight more success stories in the coming years...
