A Letter From The Editor Trends emerge, they come from the streets and the minds; they are a signifier of the social and environmental ecosystems. “Fashion is only the attempt to realize ar t in living forms and social intercourse.” Francis Bacon. The upcoming FW 14/1 5 season’s trends have been identified on the runway, retail settings and on the avenues. Each tells it’s own stor y inspired by either endure, embrace, or assimilation of the season. Much like the color trends the season is imbued in how the trends are worn. Osmosis, emotion, sensations, or experience of the fall and winter seasons and are synthesized as texture, shape, and form. Finally they are interpreted by the wearer and identified in this repor t.
