This course will cover browsing the web, viewing your photos, email, watching movies, Netflix, or TV, playing music, reading/buying books, using Google maps, editing your calendar, syncing with your computer and much more! The first half of the class is geared toward cardiovascular improvement. The second half of the class is weightlifting with small dumbbells. Students are required to have a yoga mat and their own small dumbbells. Yoga is designed to connect the mind and body. Instructor, John Alderson will lead particiapnts to focus on strength and balance movements designed to increase flexibility and reduce stress. Dance your way into fitness with this Latin-inspired experience. Zumba joins high energy movements with dance combinations to achieve a full body workout. iPhone®… I’m Lost!
There is so much more you can do with an iPhone® besides making phone calls, sending text messages, and browsing the web! While this gadget is cool, we first need to figure out how to use it! In this workshop, Paige Laws will show you how to set up your iPhone® to email, use WiFi networks, Bluetooth, and iTunes. You’ll also learn how to take pictures, send them to friends, install apps, and make your iPhone® even smarter. Don’t forget to bring your iPhone® 4S, 5 or 6. Now that you’re more comfortable with your iPhone® after the basic workshop, we’re going to take it to the next level. We’ll discover more about the pre-loaded apps and explain the avenues for downloading apps, songs, movies, books, games, and more. Boater Education Course
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1986, and of legal age to operate a motorboat, must have successfully completed an approved Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Boating Education Course and carry proof while operating a motorboat on Arkansas water. The law also affects operators of sailboats. The Arkansas Boating Education Course teaches the fundamentals of safe and responsible boating. This is necessary to reduce loss of life, personal injury and property damage while increasing boating enjoyment for outdoor enthusiasts. For more information, contact Marlon Mowdy at 501.772.8877. Pottery I
This class explores the art of forming and shaping clay. Working one-on-one with students, the instructor will guide new potters as their skills improve. You will advance at your own pace while making creative pieces. Experienced students will continue their exploration of ceramic art by practicing advanced hand techniques. Personal Interests & Senior Sage Card Making (ART 1001 C1)
Learning to make your own hand-made greeting cards can be fun and rewarding. Students will be amazed at how easy it is to create unique one-of-a-kind cards once they have been introduced to different media applications and design principles. This course will be taught by Beatrice McEwen, an avid artist, designer, and crafter with years of experience. Hunter Education Course
Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1969, must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card to hunt in Arkansas. Children under 16 may hunt without hunter education certification as long as they are under the direct supervision of an adult who is 21 years or older. Arkansas recognizes hunter education cards from other states. Arkansas’s Hunter Education program is recognized in all states as well as in Canada and Mexico. Jewelry Soldering (ART 1001 C3)
This course will show you how to solder metal using a torch, silver solder, and various other tools to create a beautiful piece of jewelry. Soldering is a process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and adding a filler metal (solder) into the joint. AR Concealed Carry Course
Taught by certified concealed handgun safety instructor, Buck Morris, this course offers a safe, friendly environment for Arkansas residents to qualify to conceal a handgun with a permit (license). Classroom experience and firing qualification (to be held at a local range) meets the requirements of Arkansas Act 419 of 1995. Join National award winner, Bill Cooper as he walks you through all aspects of photography and more. He will help students learn how to use their equipment. T-Shirt Memory Quilt (ART 1001 W1)
If you have 6 to 28 t-shirts, you can design and make a keepsake quilt for someone to cherish. This project requires you to spend extra time working on your quilt outside of the class. Sewing machines are available, but you may also bring your own. You will be provided with enough interfacing for 28 t-shirts; anything more than 28 t-shirts, you will need to purchase on your own. Back by popular demand, this class taught by Cathy Helton, will build on skills and techniques learned in the Introduction to Cake Decorating class. Healthcare Provider CPR
The Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). ACT Prep
Sylvan Learning certified instructors will teach a plan that builds the skills, study habits, and attitudes your teenager needs to score higher on test day and apply to college with confidence. Students of all test-taking abilities will benefit from Sylvan’s highly personalized and targeted approach that focuses on the exact skills needed to successfully answer test questions. A comprehensive content review for each of the ACT’s four required tests – English, Math, Reading, and Science will be included. Students will also have 24/7 access to pre/post tests online with tutorials for one calendar year.

Registration
Classes are filled on a first-come first-serve basis, and early registration is encouraged. Please note that fees are due upon registration to reserve a space in a class. A student is not officially enrolled in a class until payment is received.
Cancellation Policy
A 100% refund is given when a course is cancelled by the College. EACC reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. Mailed refunds are usually received within two to three weeks.
Refunds
A transferable voucher may be given for the amount of the class if a student cancels 48 hours prior to the start of the class.
All students must register and pay all course fees prior to the first day of class.
Continuing Education classes will not meet on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 18th) or Spring Break (March 21st- 25th).
