FIVE DAYS IN AND CRUISING
We are nearly a week into this years EASA, and still no sight of firemen, corruptable police or angry neighbours. Apart from the incessant heat turning half the day into siesta-time there have been no problems to write about in EL PARASOL. This editor caught up with a few organisers in a shady corner of the bar, in an effort to prise out any crisis that they are not telling us about. "There is never a problem," Javi D told me. "As long as Blanca [Domingues] is about we will be OK." Blanca has been on the phone for the last two months, so was unavailable for an interview, but she is still smiling and looking as good as ever, which I took as a promising sign.
actually just the 'face' of easa011. Like the forgotten fifth Beatle, it has been Blanca making sure that there have been no big problems so far. Every organising team has one or two members who unfortunately don't get the exposure they deserve, so make sure you keep the organisers happy. I went looking for Fran's views, but was told he was off in a dark room nursing a hangover - at least the Spanish organisers know how to relax!
