GOD IS DOING A NEW THING God is known for the new: new birth, new mercies, new wineskins, new creation, new heaven, new earth and new Jerusalem. We cannot limit our amazing God to the same old experiences. Otherwise, we will miss out on so much. We have to stay in tune with the move of God and remain open to the new things that He is doing. We cannot grow if we do not change. And if we do not change, we cannot grow. In the past, God has proven to be so faithful to the Eastern Star Church family. Since 1920, we have grown from a few people who heard the voice of God to begin a new work to 2015 with thousands making a difference locally, nationally and globally. Moreover, our church has always had seasons of significant change.

All of these were tremendous transitions in the life of our church. And the body of Christ and the community is still benefitting from these significant changes. Also, God is getting the glory. It is very clear this is a season of transition for our church family. “Can’t you see it?” We will have an ongoing appreciation for our history but acceptance of our God-given destiny. Furthermore, 20th century ministry will not be very effective as we continue to move deeper into the 21st century. Eastern Star Church will never change our mission: evangelism and discipleship. Our message will never change: salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. However, our methods must continue to change in order to save souls and grow disciples. With intentionality, let us continue to develop our intergenerational ministry. We have to be a place where the young and the old and everyone in between will be loved, accepted, appreciated, encouraged and edified. We will not fear the new, the innovative or the creative. As we have always been with God as a church family, we will be open to move of the Spirit of God. Open to what God wants to do with us and for us.

FINANCES Thank you for your willingness to give to Eastern Star Church as we further our mission of evangelism and discipleship. God provided the ultimate example of giving by the sacrificial gift of His own Son (John 3:16). It is our responsibility to give as the Lord has prospered us (2 Corinthians 9:6-10).
2014 HIGHLIGHTS We are grateful to God for His continued blessings to our ministry and affiliates in 2014. • Eastern Star Church extended blessings to others through JEWEL Human Services by investing over $760,000 through community partnerships, benevolence and foreign missions. • JEWEL Childcare Preschool provided childcare services thanks to the support of Eastern Star Church subsidizing their operations totaling $330,204. • We invested over $5.3 Million to provide extensive ministry and service to more than 7,000 members, guests and partners weekly while employing more than 80 full, part-time and contract employees. • Decreased debt significantly with Principal and Interest payments of $1,655,271.
2015 PROJECTIONS (HIGHLIGHTS) God is doing a New Thing (Isaiah 43:19) at Eastern Star Church in 2015. Our mission of evangelism and discipleship will never change, but our methods are changing to meet the diverse needs of our congregation. Following are projections based on the resources we faithfully pray God will provide: • We continue our commitment to those in need in our local and global community through JEWEL Human Services and JEWEL Childcare Preschool by investing at least $940,400 through childcare, community partnerships, benevolence and foreign missions. • We will upgrade components of our audio, video and Internet systems to allow us to reach the world through live streaming of campus services. We will automate our giving platform in every aspect to increase efficiency and utilization of our financial resources. Projected investment for these initiatives exceed $700,000. • We remain one church in three locations, but we are changing the way we utilize the Fishers and Cooper Road campuses. As we reach out to all three of our campus communities, we will rebrand and launch a new website. We will invest at least $150,000 in this initiative. • We plan to invest more than $5.8 Million to provide extensive ministry and service to more than 8,000 members, guests and partners weekly. Investment includes employing more than 95 full, part-time and contract employees (16 additional Full/ Part-Time/Contract).
