Domicile 9th - 15th November 2015 Outlaws Yacht Club, Leeds Café Vélo, Lille Domicile is a project by artist Ben Mills and commissioned by East Street Arts and L’Entorse. It is part of a programme taking place in Leeds (East Street Arts), Lille (L’Entorse) and Ghent (Vooruit) over 18 months exploring links between art and sport, funded by Creative Europe.
Confirmed Leeds based artists taking part include: Bess Martin, Zodwa Nyoni, Matthew Bellwood, Rufus Newell, Amelia Mitchell, Daniel Newton, Adam Young, Daniel Craddock, Joely Fielding and Pauline Mayers. Creative Links
Domicile seeks to open creative links between Leeds and Lille around the shared theme of home by harnessing the power of the pedal for one week in November.
The project will be free for the public to view from two locations over the week. Artists in Leeds will be live casting from Outlaws Yacht Club at regular intervals and Ben Mills (Live Artist) will be cycling 400 miles at Café Vélo (Lille). The action in both venues through the week will be projected into the opposing cafe.
