LATENT POWER PUBLIC ART FOR KIRKSTALL

Leeds City Council’s Town and District Centre Regeneration Scheme have commissioned East Street Arts to work with artist Rebecca Appleby on the creation of a new public art commission for Kirkstall that sits within East Street Arts’ public art programme, A City Less Grey.

Latent Power pays homage to the local heritage and industrial landscape, referencing the waterwheel that played an important role in the economic development of Kirkstall.
