YOUR CAREER The Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) is a joint degree offered by East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and Tennessee Tech University (TTU). This interdisciplinary program is centered around theory and design of complex engineering systems with coursework in electrical, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other engineering delds.
BSE students can specialize in a particular area of interest such as civil, mechanical, or electrical. Students looking for a more hands-on degree in engineering may consider our Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. In this specialty, graduates apply knowledge in technical tasks, developing innovative solutions for business operations.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN Creative and curious critical thinkers interested in math and science will excel in this program.You’ll learn to meet organizational objectives in a global context within realistic economic and environmental restraints. + Design and conduct experiments.

Students earn at least 32 semester credits at ETSU and 32 semester credits at TTU. Coursework taken at the partner institution will be delivered via synchronous video classrooms. Getting Started Students may enroll at East Tennessee State University or Tennessee Tech University to pursue the joint engineering degree. Interested studentsapplyforadmissionanddnancialaidatoneinstitutionand remain enrolled at that institution throughout the program. Additional Admission Requirements Freshmen: Minimum 3.0 high school GPA and 20 ACT composite and 22 Math sub score. Transfer Students: 2.0 cumulative college GPA (excluding credit for remedial/developmental courses)
