Places, everyone! Our 2024 Broadway season will soon begin!

Thanks to our loyal patrons and generous sponsors, Broadway is returning to the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts for its second season. And this year, in addition to our season of four Broadway shows, we will be offering two add-on shows.

One of ETSU’s greatest success stories from 2023 will be the kick-off of our Broadway season. We brought you four amazing shows – “Annie,” “Cats,” “Riverdance25th Anniversary Show,” and Chicago” – and all were performed to sold-out crowds here at the Martin Center. MY FAIR LADY

(Entertainment Weekly), Lerner & Loewe’s MY FAIR LADY. Boasting such classic songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” MY FAIR LADY tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady.” But who is really being transformed?

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

March 18 - 20, 2024

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary, a new mesmerizing production of the iconic musical phenomenon returns to the stage. Originally staged by London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and helmed by the acclaimed director Timothy Sheader (Crazy for You, Into the Woods) and cutting-edge choreographer Drew McOnie (King Kong, Strictly Ballroom), this production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades. Appealing to both theater audiences and concert music fans, this production pays tribute to the historic 1971 Billboard Album of the Year while creating a modern, theatrical world that is uniquely fresh and inspiring.

With lyrics and music by Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winners Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jesus Christ Superstar is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas. STOMP is explosive, provocative, sophisticated, sexy, utterly unique and appeals to audiences of all ages. The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and re structured and the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.
