Welcome to our 34th Annual Simmental, Sim-Angus & Angus Production Sale! As always, we would like to send out a big thank you to everyone who has supported this sale in the past. It is because of you that we get to continue our passion of raising Simmental and Angus cattle. All four of us consignors on the sale try to achieve the same goal, which is to produce cattle that will enhance your program no matter how big or small it may be. Each year, customers comment on how our quality of cattle gets better and better every year. We take pride in comments like that and would like to think the same. This past fall we saw the markets decline to lower levels, but we can’t forget how many people are in this world and the everlasting demand for beef. Purchasing quality cattle may be more important now than ever to enhance overall profit. We truly believe we have the quality of cattle to do this and we would love to work with each and every one of you. Every year, our open heifers sold on the sale are eligible for a futurity show held mid summer at the Ruth farm following the sale. With $1500 of total winnings over nine places, this can be a very worthwhile event. The futurity is not limited to just 4-H and FFA members. It is open to anybody purchasing heifers at our sale. 34th Annual Blue River Gang Sale - Sunday, February 7th These four heifers come from our Steel Force donor W83 who was a many time winner for us in her showing days with her highest honors being Reserve Champion Simmental at AK-SAR-BEN. We should probably be flushing her more often because her results have been phenomenal. She also has two bulls and a bred heifer in the sale this year as lots 45, 45A & 68 which show her versatility and capability of producing high performing, attractive, and sound offspring. C519 has already kicked off to a great show career with her only time out being named Champion PB Simmental Heifer Calf at the 2015 NE State Fair. I don’t know if we have ever had one this good around the farm, this correct, this powerful, and this stylish. We truly feel that in the right hands she, like her mother, can go on to be a many time winner on any stage. C62 is a flush mate to C519 is about as stout as you can make a purebred all while tying into a great front third. Have fun showing her then let her become one of your top producing cows. C86 is a long spined, deep sided, square hipped half blood that has a to die for front end. She has so many powerful maternal traits in her that her mating options are endless. C83 is W83’s natural calf out of our Fat Butt herd bull. She is one of the youngest heifers on the sale but she wasted no time catching up. Purebreds like her don’t come along every day, don’t miss this one. All four of these heifers are halter broke and ready for the show ring.
