I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our 2024 Heartland Performance with Class Bull Sale. We will be having a large offering of bulls and females and will be starting at 4 p.m. to accommodate everyone’s travel the best we can.

Mary and I have been very blessed over the years to work with some great people and so many have helped us along the way that we just want to say “Thank You”. With our hectic schedule, 4 kids, cattle feeding operation, as well as our seedstock operation there is absolutely no way we could do this without the help of so many of you and we are greatly appreciatively for everything you do.

We will be offering 76 lots of yearling and strong aged bulls as well as 70 lots of females, there’s more on them later in the catalog. Make sure to bring your semen tank on sale day as we will be having a sale day special on HL Tommy Boy, CLRS Guardian, as well as our new herd sire BAS Money Maker. We are planning on having all lots videoed and live hopefully about a week before the sale.

We are at unprecedented times in the cattle business and the lookout over the near future doesn’t appear that is going to change much. With record prices being set almost on a monthly and weekly basis, we are bringing you genetics that we feel are an incredible investment that will pay off sooner rather than later. We breed for cattle that we have coined as “Real World Genetics.” Cattle that first of all come easy and have exceptional vigor and then get up and grow. Cattle that are low maintenance and can make it on their own without extra feed and care. Lastly, the finished product has to be top notch and making it a point that our genetics grade Choice and Prime and capture the premiums not only in the sale barns, but especially on the rail. We have fed thousands of progeny out of our genetics over the years and we know how these cattle will perform in the feedlot and on the rail. THE BULL OFFERING

While I have listed some footnotes for each the bulls, I want to give an overview of all the bulls in the offering. Our core belief has always been to produce cattle that work and perform in the Real World. We want to produce cattle that have look to them, but more importantly, cattle that have numbers behind them and still perform in the pasture, feedlot, and on the rail and we feel that this set of bulls represent that. First of all, we have emphasized cattle that come easy as it most important to have a live calf especially with bottle calves bringing north of $1000 and all the expense that goes into a cow to make sure you get a live calf. Second, we continue and always will to emphasize growth so these cattle can sire cattle that are pounds heavy. Lastly, we have always continued to select cattle that will excel on the rail. It is difficult to produce cattle that do all 3 three of these, but we think our offering does that as well as any.

These bulls are lean and hard. They have been developed on a high roughage diet so that when you get them, they will not melt away. They have not been pushed to give false or counterfeit look and numbers; they are the definition of “What you see is what you get.” They will be ready to go work! All bulls will be semen checked prior to the sale, been vaccinated with Bova Shield 5 VL5 and Ultrabac 7, given Multi Min90, Long Range, PI tested negative, as well as given a magnet on semen check day. Every bull had 100K genomic testing done as well as been tested for coat color and homozygous polled.

THE FEMALE OFFERING

We have a large offering of females again this year. As every year we are offering a large number of first calf heifers, most if not all of them, should calve by sale day. With the exception of 2 females that I kept because their mothers went down the road – we are offering every heifer that we bred last year. These girls are coming at you in their working clothes so that just like the bulls, you will not be disappointed in what you get. Buy with confidence, these are an excellent set of females with calves at side that have tremendous earning potential. We are offering a few cows as well that are little later calving than we would like. They are still great working cows that will do a great job in their next herd. The females speak for themselves.
