The Governor Telegram February Edition for ECD Board
Wait…. It’s also the final edition….
Dear ECD Board, Committee Chairs and Kiwanians, Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when your team was so great. Actually, all of you were not just great, you were completely out of this world. I couldn’t have asked for a better board, more committed Kiwanians or better committee chairs. To the 2014-2015 Eastern Canada District Board: I was so frightened to serve as District Governor at the beginning of the year. I was constantly warned about the workload. I was always reminded about all the things that could potentially go wrong. In fact, I heard stories from other Governors about having mischievous board members. After Board Trainer, all those thoughts disappeared. You are such passionate and hard-working people, and I’m so thankful that I had so many bright individuals to look up to. To the 2014-2015 Eastern Canada Committee Chairs: I know how hard all of your positions are. You have to work with people from all over Eastern Canada, people you have never met, and try to get everything done online. Somehow, all of you managed it! And you didn’t only manage it, but you did amazing things with it. This year, every committee was able to significantly impact the District. *Additionally, I am so sorry for all the awkward Skype calls you’ve had with me. :P To the Kiwanians: Since joining Key Club in grade 9, Kiwanians have never ceased to surprise me. Not only do you commit a lot of time to helping out your own clubs, but the time and energy you dedicate to service leadership programs is astonishing. Thank you for responding to emails late at night and giving me advice to better the District Board. After having raised more money for Eliminate and having more paid members than ever, all I can say is that because of all of you, this service year was great!
Congratulations! I can’t wait to see all of you at District Convention! Please make sure that you read the following page for a few reminders about District Convention. Yours in Service, Mona Adib
