DOUGLAS COUNTY community festivals
I
f you’re looking for some small town fun, check out the festivals in the Douglas County area this summer. There’s Evansville’s Red, White and Boom Days and Brandon Summerfest, as well as celebrations in Forada, Garfield and Parkers Prairie. These little communities do things up right, from parades featuring clowns and dignitaries, water fights, baseball and softball tournaments, street dances, craft sales, garage sales and kids’ games. And if you’re hungry, there’s nowhere better to find that perfect something to satisfy you. You can feast on barbecues, pork chops, brats, pancakes and every kind of food on a stick, in a basket or on a plate, ready and waiting for you.
