Kurt Barrow, Vice President, Oil Markets, Midstream and Downstream Insights, is responsible for IHS Markit’s research and forecasts of the crude oil through downstream value chains and co-leads the joint mobility research services with IHS Markit Automotive. He routinely delivers industry keynote talks and executive/ board-level presentations on market and industry trends and dislocations. Formerly a Vice President with Purvin & Gertz, Mr. Barrow’s expertise includes refining economics, business strategy, commercial analysis, crude oil and refined product forecasting, and policy scenario assessments. Kurt remains actively involved in global downstream research overseeing both expert-based analysis and analytical modeling of market and industry fundamentals. Kurt also manages consulting projects, including multi-client studies on US crude export policy, commercial trucking, and the impact of the IMO bunker fuel rules. Kurt began his career as an engineer at the Exxon Baytown Refinery and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and an MBA from the University of Houston.

PRESIDENT, GREATER HOUSTON PORT BUREAU Captain Diehl is President of the Greater Houston Port Bureau, a maritime trade organization serving 200+ member companies in the Houston region. The Port Bureau supplies its members with detailed vessel traffic information, market analysis, and maritime expertise in safety, security, and environmental issues. Prior to coming to the Port Bureau, Bill served 31 years in the Coast Guard, culminating in commanding the largest operational unit in the Coast Guard: Sector Houston-Galveston. He has a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia.

ENTREPRENEUR, PinnacleART Ryan Sitton is an inventor, engineer, entrepreneur and a public servant. Ryan and his wife Jennifer built their business, PinnacleART, from the ground up in 2006 and have grown it to more than 900 employees and revenue over $100 million. The Sittons are also very active philanthropists in their community. Ryan was elected Texas Railroad Commissioner in 2014. The Railroad Commission has nothing to do with trains - it regulates the strong and vital energy development sector in the Lone Star State. Ryan is an energy expert and is the first engineer elected to the Commission in over 50 years, and brings his real-world leadership and expertise to every aspect of the agency’s operations.

GEORGE P. BUSH

COMMISSIONER, TEXAS GENERAL LAND OFFICE Born in Houston, Texas, April 24, 1976. Commissioner Bush has dedicated his life to public service, working as a public school teacher after graduating from Rice University and serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Prior to serving as Texas Land Commissioner, Bush was a successful businessman. He joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP after earning his Juris Doctorate at the University of Texas School of Law. He subsequently co-founded Pennybacker Capital LLC, a real estate private equity firm, in 2007, and St. Augustine Partners LLC, a Fort Worth-based investment firm focused on oil and gas transactions and consulting for private businesses. Commissioner Bush is the grandson of President George H.W. Bush, the son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and the nephew of President George W. Bush. He lives in Austin with his wife, Amanda, and their two sons, Prescott and Jack. Serves as Texas Land Commissioner, January 2, 2015 to present.

RIC CAMPO

PORT COMMISSION CHAIRMAN, PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHORITY Ric Campo is Chairman of the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority. He was appointed to the position in January of 2019 by the City of Houston and Harris County Commissioners Court and was sworn in Feb. 7. In his position as chairman of Port Houston, he also serves as chairman of the Board of Pilot Commissioners of Harris County Ports, which oversees ship pilot matters. Mr. Campo is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Camden Property Trust and has served in this capacity since May 1993. He joined a private Houston real estate company after graduating from Oregon State University in 1976, and co-founded Camden’s predecessor companies in 1982. Mr. Campo serves on the Board of Directors of several organizations that focus on the economic development, business outlook and future growth of Houston, including Central Houston, Inc. and the Greater Houston Partnership. Mr. Campo is the past Chairman of the Houston First Corporation, a local government corporation that facilitates the city’s economic growth through the business of conventions and the arts. He also was past chairman of the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee, responsible for Super Bowl LI festivities and logistics, including Super Bowl Central, the Business Connect Program and the Committee’s charitable arm. Mr. Campo holds strategic roles within the real estate industry. He is currently a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, where he serves on the Board, and the National Multifamily Housing Council, which he formerly chaired, as well as the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Campo also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

RON CORN

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PETROCHEMICALS R. E. (Ron) Corn is senior vice president of Petrochemicals for Chevron Phillips Chemical. He is responsible for the olefins, NGL and aromatics product lines and is accountable for Chevron Phillips Chemical’s Saudi joint ventures. Previously he served as senior vice president, Specialties, Aromatics and Styrenics; vice president, Corporate Planning & Development; vice president, Olefins & NGL and general manager, Asia, where he oversaw all Chevron Phillips Chemical activities in the region. He most recently served as senior vice president of Projects & Supply Chain. Corn started his career at Chevron USA’s Richmond refinery. In 1991, after serving as an analyst at Chevron USA’s San Francisco headquarters, he transferred to Chevron’s Port Arthur Refinery and served a s cracking area supervisor and chemicals operations manager. In 1996, he moved to Chevron Chemical’s Houston office as olefins supply chain manager. At the creation of the Chevron Phillips Chemical joint venture in 2000, Corn was named olefins business manager and subsequently served as polyethylene business manager and global business development manager. Corn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois in 1979.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, TARGA RESOURCES Vincent DiCosimo, has served as Senior Vice President and an officer of Targa Resources since the acquisition of his company, Coast Energy Group LLC, in December of 2010. Mr. DiCosimo previously served as founder and CEO of Coast Energy LLC, from 2009-2010, co-founder and CEO of PipeStem Energy Group from 2007-2009, Vice President of Marketing for Enterprise Products Partners from 2004-2007, founder and CEO of RedMeteor LLC from 2000-2004 and founder, CEO and EVP of Cornerstone Propane and Coast Energy Group, LP from 1990-2000. Mr. DiCosimo graduated with honors from West Texas A&M University and attended the University of Houston for post graduate studies. Mr. DiCosimo currently serves as Executive Director of CFOP (Coalition for a Fair and Open Port), Director of ILTA, Second Vice Chairman of the Greater Houston Port Bureau and is Past Chairman of the Sugar Land TIRZ No. One and a previous Director of PERC. He and Francine, his wife of thirty-four years, have three grown children and reside in Houston.

VICE PRESIDENT FOR TRANSIT BUSINESS, PANAMA CANAL AUTHORITY

Obtained her Marine Engineer degree from Texas A&M, in Galveston, Texas, U.S.A., in May 1985; and in 1996, her Master in Economic Engineer from the Universidad Santa María La Antigua (The Old Saint Mary University in Panama City, Republic of Panama), also known as USMA. Took Managerial Development courses in: The INCAE Business School, located in Managua, Nicaragua (February 2000) and, The Kellogg School of Management, located in Illinois, U.S.A. (July 2006). Is a Certified Public Translator. Obtained her Project Administrator Certificate from the Project Management Institute in May 2007. Has worked for the Panama Canal Commission / Panama Canal Authority for over 30 years on various positions. In May 2007 she was appointed as Executive Manager of the Resources Planning and Project Controls Division, Engineering and Programs Administration Department, responsible for the execution of the Expansion Program. She acted in this position until 2012. In May 2012 she was assigned as Executive Vice President for Engineering and Program Management. In the development and execution of her responsibilities, has been recognized several times with several awards of excellence for her contribution to various programs. She acted in this position until February 2019. Recently she has been designated as Executive Vice-President for Transit Business responsible for all maritime operations, emergency response, dredging operations, maintenance of canal’s infrastructures, floating and rolling equipment, customer affairs and marketing analysis. She has also given many lectures on the Panama Canal Expansion Program and the national and international level and was awarded as “Outstanding Woman of the Year” by the Panamanian Association of Business Executives; Global Chairman’s Diversity Leadership by Stanton Chase; Forbes Magazine of Mexico recognized her in its list of the 50 most powerful women in Central America; 2016 Women who make a difference by the International Women Forum; holds the Distinguished Woman Award from the Association of Professional and Business Woman of Panama and Awesome Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award. Member of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonalds Charity Organization of Panama. Winkler Chief Operating Officer, Winkler Public Relations Dennis Winkler, a 40-year veteran in the Public Relations field, is Chief Operating Officer of Winkler Public Relations, a public relations and marketing company specializing in building and sustaining stakeholder and community relationships and managing issues important to organizations and the public. The firm has unique experience helping companies protect brand and reputation through crisis management and media relations and creating brand and image recognition through public relations, integrated marketing and stakeholder engagement. Winkler Public Relations provides issues management, stakeholder relations, crisis communication support and specialized media training to industry, contractors and trade associations. The company also counsels economic development and property management groups. Prior to retiring from Shell in 2004, Winkler worked directly for the president of Shell Oil Company and managed Shell’s Houston Public Affairs. Winkler was appointed to the Gulf Coast Rail District by the Harris County Mayors and Councils Association. He also is an elected board member of the Bilma Public Utility District, and a founding director and chair of the public policy task force for the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region. Panelist: Steve Smith Technical Advisory Committee Chairman, Houston Regional Monitoring Steve Smith, Technical Advisory Committee Chairman, Houston Regional Monitoring, has over thirty-five years of environmental engineering experience working both at plant locations and in the corporate office. His focus for the last twenty years has been air permitting and air quality. Compliance with the ozone SIP requirements has been the primary air quality issue for the last fifteen years. Houston Regional Monitoring (HRM) operates a network of ambient air monitors in east Harris County has been collecting ambient air monitoring data for over thirty years.

STATE LEGISLATIVE PANEL Abstract: The Port of Houston is the largest exporting U.S. port in the

U.S., second in overall tonnage, and the largest container port in the Gulf of Mexico. This activity at the Port of Houston generates $617 billion per year in economic output, sustains nearly 3 million direct/indirect/induced U.S. jobs, and provides more than $35 billion in local, state, and federal tax revenue. The region is also the home to the world’s largest petrochemical complex and produces 27% of the nation’s gasoline, 60% of the nation’s aviation fuel, 80% of the nation’s military grade fuel and 42% of the nation’s specialty chemical feedstock. The Houston Port remains a vital economic engine; critical to our national security. It is important to hear from the representing State Legislators on issues in Austin that affect the ability of this region to prosper and to continue to compete globally.

Moderator: Hector L. Rivero President and CEO, Texas Chemical Council (TCC) Hector L. Rivero is President and CEO of the Texas Chemical Council (TCC). The Texas Chemical Council is the statewide trade association for the chemical industry in Texas. Founded in 1953, TCC is the largest U.S. state trade association representing chemical manufacturers. Rivero has served on the Board of Directors of several business organizations including the Texas Association of Business, Texas Civil Justice League, Texas Taxpayers and Research Association, Mississippi Manufacturers Association, and the Austin Chamber of Commerce. A government affairs professional for over 20 years, Rivero has been instrumental in the passage of major tax reforms, civil justice reforms, environmental laws, and constitutional amendments. Rivero previously served as State Government Affairs Manager for E. I. DuPont de Nemours with responsibilities for 15 manufacturing plants in the U.S. Gulf Coast Region and several research facilities across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He has two children and resides in Austin. Hector is an active high school and college football official, is a Past-President of the Austin Football Officials Association and a member of the Lone Star Conference.

Panelists: Larry Taylor, Senator, District 11 Senator Larry Taylor is a lifelong Texan and Baylor University graduate raised in Friendswood. He and his wife Kerri have three adult children and two grandchildren. Senator Taylor owns Truman Taylor Insurance Agency in Friendswood, an independent agency started by his father more than 50 years ago. In 2017, the agency merged with Galveston Insurance Associates. Before his election to the Texas Senate in 2012, he served five terms in the Texas House of Representatives. Currently, Senator Taylor serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education and as a member of the following committees: Higher Education; Water and Rural Affairs, and the budget writing Finance committee. In 2017, Senator Taylor was appointed to the Texas Commission on Public School Finance, which explored ways to update and improve how Texas funds its schools. As a result of the Commission, the Legislature passed a comprehensive overhaul of the school finance system during the 86th Session. He is a member of the Legislative Budget Board, a permanent joint committee responsible for developing budget and policy recommendations for legislative appropriations, and has served as a Co-Chair of the Joint Interim Committee to Study a Coastal Barrier System, which worked to identify methods of storm protection along the Texas Gulf Coast. Senator Taylor represents Senate District 11, comprised of portions of Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris Counties.

Carol Alvarado, Senator, District 6 Senator Carol Alvarado is proud to serve Texas Senate District 6 in Harris County and was first elected in a 2018 Special Election. In 2008, she was elected to the Texas House of Representatives and served 5 terms representing District 145. She served as Chair of the Urban Affairs Committee and Co-Chair of the Select Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations. Carol’s primary legislative focus has been on economic development, public health and public education. She has championed legislation aimed at strengthening our state’s workforce, regulating the use of e-cigarettes for children and criminal justice reform. Carol is an advocate for women’s health and reproductive rights and has passed legislation to assist victims of sexual abuse. As a member of the Houston City Council from 2002-2008, Carol led the effort to make restaurants smoke free, stopped the shipping of more hazardous chemicals through our neighborhoods, and had air quality monitors installed in neighborhoods near chemical plants. Carol is a native Houstonian and longtime resident of Houston’s East End. She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Houston and is a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Ed Thompson, Representative, District 29 Representative Ed Thompson serves the 29th District in the Texas House of Representatives. District 29 encompasses the northern portion of Brazoria County that includes Pearland, Alvin, Manvel, Brookside Village, Hillcrest, Iowa Colony, Liverpool, and Rosharon. Representative Thompson has served the district since first being elected in 2012 and was re-elected in 2014, 2016, and 2018. Since taking oath in 2013, Representative Thompson has been vocal in many vital issues facing the state, such as securing funding for projects and infrastructure of Texas roads, adequately funding our public schools, improving safety and security at the Texas-Mexico border, increasing funding for water resources, and safeguarding Texans’ individual Constitutional rights. Representative Thompson was appointed to his fourth term on the House Committee on Environmental Regulation, where he serves as the Vice Chairman. He was also appointed to the House Committee on Transportation and House Committee on House Administration for the 86th Legislative Session.

Glenn also invested municipal bond portfolios as an outside money manager for Merrill Lynch Consults program. Over the last 35 years, Glenn has applied his market knowledge in the construction of individual client portfolios designed with their personal financial goals in mind. Glenn holds the CFP© certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. after completing coursework at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Glenn is passionate about serving his country and community. He is the current Chairman of Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, Service Academy panelist for U.S. Congressman Brian Babin’s 36th congressional district, a US Navy Veteran and served as the Mayor of Seabrook, Texas. He has served as past-president of Seabrook Rotary Club and past-president of Big Brothers Big Sisters Bay Area advisory board. A Houston native, he lives in Seabrook with his wife Diane, where they proudly share a love of traveling and community involvement.

Panelists: Rich Byrnes, Chief Port Infrastructure Officer, Port of Houston Authority Rich Byrnes is the Chief Infrastructure Officer for the Port of Houston Authority. He leads a multi-functional group tasked with supporting public transportation and trade needs of the region, and enabling an efficient and effective base for Port operations. The Infrastructure team’s responsibilities include Facilities and Master Planning, Strategic Asset Management, Project & Construction Management, the non-federal role in Houston Ship Channel Development, Freight Mobility, and Environmental Affairs. Rich’s career spans engineering, operations and consulting across transportation, oil & gas and shipbuilding industries, working with Fortune 100 corporations, State-Owned Enterprises and governments on every continent. He began his career managing supply chain and wintering over at the South Pole, Antarctica, and then as an oil field engineer in the Middle East. In Transportation he has consulted to ports and shipping companies across the US, Latin America and Australia on issues of planning and economics, and in Oil & Gas he worked with organizations across the Americas, Asia, Europe and Middle East on issues of strategy, organization and asset development. Previously, Rich held roles as Vice President at two global oilfield services companies, responsible for business and technical consulting, and he has also been a Clinical Professor of Leadership at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School. Rich has two Master’s degrees from MIT, one in Ocean Systems Management and another in Technology and Policy. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara, an Associates in mathematics from Long Beach City College and he has completed executive leadership programs at Texas A&M. Rich and his family have lived in the Houston area since 1992, and in his spare time he promotes STEM education in local schools and coaches youth baseball.

James Koch, Consultant, TXDoT James graduated from the University of Texas in 1982 with a bachelor of science in civil engineering and obtained his professional engineering license in 1990. James began his career with the Department in 1987 in the Brownwood District and transferred to the Houston District’s Plan Review Section in 1992. Several years later James was promoted to the Director of Design in 1998. In 2010, he was promoted to the Director of Transportation Planning and Development. James excelled in all of his assignments and in 2013 James was awarded the Gibb Gilchrest Award for his achievements in Houston. In 2014, James assumed the role of Director of the Transportation Planning and Programming Division in Austin. From there, James worked closely with Administration as the Portfolio and Project Manager for several high profile projects. James made the decision to retire from the TXDOT in August 2016 to return to his family roots in the Greater Houston Area and began serving as the Director of Transportation for Gunda Corporation in the private sector. Over the past three years James has garnered meaningful experience as a consultant to TXDOT on various projects around the State.

Brian Fielkow, CEO, Jetco Delivery Brian is CEO of Jetco Delivery, a 225 employee, freight and logistics company based in Houston, Texas. Since purchasing the company in 2006, Brian has transformed Jetco Delivery by capitalizing on new markets and differentiating the company in a price-driven industry. He has built three new companies: Jetco Heavy Haul, Jetco Logistics and Jetco DFW. By developing a company and safety culture, Jetco has ranked as a “Best Place to Work” by “Houstonia” magazine, and a “Top Workplace” by the “Houston Chronicle” multiple years in a row. In May 2019, Jetco was acquired by Montreal – based logistics company The GTI Group. Fielkow serves on the GTI’s Board of Directors. He serves as co-chair of the Greater Houston Freight Committee with former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and on the board of directors of Affinity Insurance, LTD. In 2018, Brian received the National Safety Council Distinguished Service to Safety Award.

Panelists: Tim Sutherland, General Manager, Chevron Pasadena Refinery Tim Sutherland was appointed general manager of the Pasadena Refinery in 2019 after serving as integration manager of the same facility through the Chevron acquisition. Tim received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis. He joined Chevron in 1991 as a machinery engineer and since then has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in Richmond, Salt Lake and El Segundo during his Chevron career.

Brook Vickery, CEO, Jetco Delivery Mr. Vickery has worked in the refining industry for over 28 years in a variety of roles including Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, Ventures Manager, Manufacturing Manager and his current role as Vice President and Manufacturing Manager of the Flint Hills Resources refineries in Corpus Christi, Texas. In his current role, he has overall responsibility for the refineries and marine terminal in the Coastal Bend area. The refineries have a combined capacity of over 320,000 BPD. Mr. Vickery received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, an MBA from the University of Iowa, and holds a Professional Engineering License in Control Systems.

Greg Nevermann, Site Manager, LyondellBasell’s Houston Refinery Greg Nevermann is the Site Manager of LyondellBasell’s Houston Refinery and the Director of Refining, Products and Planning. He has worked in the refining and petrochemical industry for 29 years. Since joining LyondellBasell in 1996, Nevermann has held multiple roles in the company’s Manufacturing, Commercial and Planning departments. Prior to his tenure at LyondellBasell, Nevermann worked for Fina Oil and Chemical for six years in various engineering capacities. He is a native of Oconomowoc, Wis., and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Nevermann is married to his wife of 27 years, Annette, with whom he shares two children, Madison and Reed.

Robert (Bob) Bradshaw is the Site Manager for INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA Battleground Manufacturing Complex (BMC) located on Independence Parkway in La Porte and has been in the petrochemical industry for over 37 years. After graduating from Westminster College in Fulton, MO he began his career with Amoco in Tulsa, OK. He has held a variety of positions in manufacturing and support roles for Amoco, BP and now INEOS in Tulsa, St. Louis, Chicago, Texas City and Alvin. He has been the Site Manager in La Porte since 2011. In addition to his board position with the Economic Alliance, Bradshaw is on the Board of Directors for the East Harris County Manufacturers Association, The Texas Chemical Council, The La Porte Chamber of Commerce, and Special Olympics Texas. Bob currently resides in League City with his wife Angela. They enjoy free time with their children and grandchild, golfing and coaching Special Olympics.

Gregory M. Masica, Vice President, Site Manager, Petrochemicals Greg is currently the Vice President & Site Manager for Petrochemicals with responsibilities for the Port Arthur, TX site. The Port Arthur site is a joint venture partnership between BASF & TOTAL producing olefins products. The products are used by many downstream facilities in BASF & TOTAL with ethylene & propylene as the two major products manufactured and provided to downstream consumers. Greg is an ardent fan of Ohio State football and participates in triathlons in his free time, having completed ten Ironman triathlon events.

Jim Haney, Business Manufacturing and Technology Director Packaging & Specialty Plastics, The Dow Chemical Company Jim Haney is the global Business Manufacturing and Technology Director for the Packaging & Specialty Plastics Business. He is accountable to the global business teams and regional value center teams for all manufacturing and engineering activities within the various technologies, ensuring safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and competitive cost operations. Prior to being named to his current position, Jim held other leadership positions in Manufacturing & Engineering and Supply Chain within the Plastics and Chemicals businesses. He joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1989 as a production engineer at the Chlorine I Plant in Plaquemine, Louisiana. In 2005, Jim relocated to Michigan Operations in Midland, Michigan to assume the role of Site Maintenance Leader. In addition to his site role, Jim became active in the Midland community by serving as a director on the boards of the North Midland Family Center and United Way of Midland County. In late 2012, Jim was named Business Manufacturing and Technology Director for Solution Polyethylene and Elastomers. He moved to the BMTL role for the Elastomers and Electrical & Telecommunications Business in 2014 and expanded his role to include the P&SP business in early 2016. INDUSTRIAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PANEL Abstract: For a region to stay competitive globally when companies

evaluate where to locate large cap projects, the ability to build, operate and maintain these facilities is one of the first questions analyzed. The state of the industrial labor market that serves the entire Gulf Coast petrochemical industry plays a major role in our ability to land these projects when being competitively sited against China, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and even Europe. This panel will look at the upstream workforce situation in the oil fields, the current downstream Gulf Coast workforce supply and demand, and also hear from Shell on the process of starting a new project in a region with no existing petrochem skilled labor.

James Griffin earned his BS and MS from the University of Wisconsin. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Petrochemicals, Energy and Technology at San Jacinto College. Griffin began his career as an associate engineer with The BF Goodrich Chemical Company. He has held positions in plant operations, corporate leadership and R&D. Prior to joining the college, James was a VP of Manufacturing for Mitsubishi Chemical. James is a past board chair of The East Harris County Manufacturing Association, an alliance of 132 refineries and petrochemical plants. He is also past board chairman of The Economic Alliance Port Region, an organization representing 12 cities, the Port of Houston Authority, Harris County, and 250 private industry members.

Panelists: Kim Franklin, Talent Acquisition Leader, Occidental (Oxy) Kim Franklin is a Talent Acquisition Leader at Occidental (Oxy). In this role, Kim has oversight of all recruitment efforts, which include experienced hiring, scholarships, sponsorships, diversity outreach and planning, University Relations Program, Military Program, and Technical College Programs. Michael Marr, Business Integration Lead, Shell Pennsylvania Chemicals Michael Marr has been a senior communications leader in both the private and public sector for more than two decades. In 2012, Marr joined Shell and has since worked in different roles covering Shell’s US Chemicals Assets and Shell’s petrochemical project in Beaver County, PA. For the five years preceding Marr’s employment with Shell, he served as the public affairs lead at the former BP Texas City site, which housed the nation’s third largest oil refinery, an integrated chemical plant and a power plant. Marr worked in senior governmental roles before joining the private sector in 2007. From 1998-2007, Marr served in a variety of roles for New York Governor George Pataki - including as the Governor’s official press secretary, campaign press secretary and as the State’s lead economic development spokesperson in the 18 months that followed 9/11. Prior to serving in the Governor’s office, Marr worked on Capitol Hill – on both the House and the Senate side. Marr received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and lives in Wexford, Pennsylvania with his wife and their son Ryan, who is nine.

Brandon Mabile, TX Region Business Development Manager, Performance Contractors Brandon Mabile is the Texas Region Business Development Manager for Performance Contractors. Performance is a heavy industrial general contractor specializing in Capital Projects, Turnarounds, and Maintenance. Chet M. Thompson, President and CEO, American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers

Chet Thompson is president and CEO of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM), the trade association representing over 300 member companies that encompass virtually all U.S. refining and petrochemical manufacturing capacity. He became president and CEO of AFPM in May 2015. Thompson leads a staff that advocates for petroleum refiners and petrochemical manufacturers before Congress and the Executive Branch on a broad range of public policy issues. AFPM, under his leadership, works to emphasize the importance of petroleum refiners and petrochemical manufacturers and their positive impact on U.S. manufacturing, jobs growth, energy independence, and national security. Before coming to AFPM, he had a successful legal career in Washington, D.C. for over two decades. Most recently he was a partner at Crowell & Moring LLP, where he was chairman of the Environment & Natural Resources Group, one of the country’s premier environmental practices. He previously served as deputy general counsel at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during the George W. Bush Administration, where he provided legal advice to the agency’s administrator, general counsel and program offices. Before joining EPA in 2004, he spent 10 years at Collier Shannon Scott PLLC. Since joining AFPM, Chet has been appointed to the U.S. Chamber’s Association Committee of 100, which is committed to advancing jobs, growth, and opportunity that help our nation prosper, and he was invited to join The Economic Club of Washington, D.C., which serves to promote a greater sense of community among the region’s top business and government leaders. In October 2015, The Hill named him as one of Washington’s Top Lobbyists. He has also been recognized as one of the leading lawyers in the United States by Chambers & Partners and was awarded a Certificate of Accommodation by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2006. Thompson holds a B.A. in Political Science from Boston College and a J.D. from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law. He and his family reside in Potomac, Maryland.

Bryan Zumwalt, Executive Vice President of Public Affairs, The Grocery Manufacturers Association Mr. Zumwalt is an experienced executive who brings strategic leadership and deep subject matter expertise in chemical, energy and environmental policy to enhance best-in-class federal advocacy programs. In his role as chief lobbyist for the largest trade association representing the chemical industry, Bryan is responsible for developing and leading comprehensive advocacy campaigns to serve the industry’s needs. Recognized for his leadership, Bryan manages the direction of three significant coalitions, the American Alliance for Innovation (more than 200-member trade associations), the Coalition for Accurate Product Labels, and the Rail Customer Coalition. These associations act to promote and support industry by making the chemical and manufacturing sectors robust and competitive. Bryan has extensive experience in Congress, having spent the better part of a decade in leadership positions on Capitol Hill. Prior to joining ACC in 2015, he served as chief counsel on two Senate committees—the Committee on Environment and Public Works, and the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He has also served as senior energy and environment advisor to Senator David Vitter. During his tenure in the U.S. Senate, Zumwalt was respected for his abilities to not only author legislation but to bring people together to get things done. He successfully led negotiations on numerous major energy and environmental legislative packages. Notably, Bryan was instrumental in efforts to address the BP Gulf Coast oil spill at Deepwater Horizon including taking point in crucial mediation between the Obama Administration and the Gulf Coast claims administrator. Mr. Zumwalt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Idaho and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. He is a member of the District of Columbia and the Maryland State Bar Associations. Bryan is married with two young sons, Colton and Aiden.
