7 STONES TO BE PICKED FROM THE BEACH IN THE MORNING. DAY AFTER DAY. 7 STONES. UNTIL... HE FINDS SOMETHING ENTIRELY DIFFERENT: A CORPSE.
Aill is the name of a small Irish village where some peculiar neighbours live. Brian McNeill is the best example: he is twelve years old, has bowl-cut hair and every morning he must pick 7 stones from the beach before going to school. It has to be 7 stones. In Aill, there are fifty inhabitants and, according to our editor, it somehow looks like Goscinny’s Gaulish village. It may seem like nothing ever happens in a place like this but mysteries do happen and with very upto-date subjects such as the environment or new technologies, which will lead all of Brian’s adventures.
Beatriz Osés (Madrid, 1972)) is a writer, literature teacher and a journalist. She has received two awards on educational innovation and several literary awards such is 2006 Lazarillo Award, 2008 Ciudad de Orihuela International Children’s Poetry Award, 2010 La Brújula Young Adult Novel Award, 2018 edebé Children’s Literature Award for Soy una nuez (a work that has crossed many borders in translation and has also been adapted to play) and 2020 the Barco de Vapor Award. She tries to adapt to the needs of each text she has in hand, among other things, because if she always did the same thing she thinks she would be bored out of her skull. Sometimes she also makes silly comics and rotoscopes. She likes to embroider and sing polyphony.

Ada is special. Her parents have always told her that she is a fairy whose wing was broken at birth and that is why she is missing an arm. When she was little she believed it and now that she is about to turn eleven, although she doesn’t believe it, she thinks it’s such a beautiful story that she lets them keep telling the story and keep asking them questions so that they can invent more and more details about her birth. But this birthday is special. She is going to celebrate it at a camp she will attend with the school and she might discover the whole truth about fairies.
Chiki Fabregat (Madrid, 1969) is the daughter of a children’s book writer. She grew up listening to stories in which she and her sibilings were the main characters. She coordinates the Department of Children and Young Adults literature at the Escuela de Escritores (Writing School), activity that she combines with writing, reading-sessions with children and teenagers, undertaking teachers’ training and reading while she commutes on the metro.
María Brenn (A Coruña, 1994) has been drawing for as long as she can remember, but it wasn’t until 2016 that she decided to turn this hobby into her profession. She loves fantasy literature, comics and animation, all media that have influenced her style. She sees each new project as a challenge and an opportunity to learn. In her illustrations, she pays special attention to the visual narrative and the expressiveness of the characters, with a taste for detail. Her technique combines traditional line and digital colour.

A STORY WITHOUT SENSATIONALISM, THAT QUESTIONS THE ESTABLISHED ORDER AND THE WAY THINGS ARE AS A CATALYST FOR CHANGE.
This novel is a denunciation of war absurdity from the point of view of an 11-year-old boy, who due to an administrative mistake is called to the front. Despite all efforts to clarify the confusion, Nico will find himself helplessly trapped in the army. as a consequence of a hierarchy and irrational military system. On his journey to the battlefield, he will be forced to confront all kinds of terrible experiences that will bring him face to face with profound ethical dilemmas. This novel speaks of war as a terrible absurdity of adults. It doesn’t do so with pacifist speeches but taking us there, to the war that sweeps everything away, starting with common sense.
Josan Hatero Mosteiro was born in Barcelona in 1970. He is a renowned author of adult fiction titles. He published his first book of short stories in 1996 Biografía de la huida . A group of ten troubled youths, supervised by their mentor Ramón, set off to a mountain camp to discover some weeks later that the world has been ravaged by a deadly virus. After Ramón fails to return from seeking help, they are forced to organize themselves to survive. At first, collaboration and empathy prevail, but despite being aware that they need each other and that altruism will always be the best option, egos, aggression, and selfishness begin to wreak havoc. The situation worsens with the arrival of winter and as the season progresses, so does the fragile equilibrium within the group, splintering into two subgroups marked by clandestine alliances and heart-wrenching betrayals that finally lead to near extinction. Only one couple remains, Eva and Nando, who will have to rely on each other, suggesting a new beginning.

My name is Albert. I began to suspect that my parents were monsters long before I met Berta Vogler. I probably fooled myself throughout that time. No one in their right mind would have been happy to grow up with bloodthirsty parents. So I tried to ignore certain details of my family DNA until Erik Vogler appeared in my life and contributed to question my nature and my own origins. Although if it hadn’t been for him, maybe I wouldn’t have discovered the demons around me.

Total confinement, the world paralyzed and the feeling of being in a prison with a life sentence: This is how our main character, whose name we will not know, lives and feels the outbreak of the pandemic. His father is in a coma, sick with COVID; his mother cries with fear and helplessness, and his little sister just claims to continue with his daily life. Overwhelmed by circumstances, our young character only finds relief in writing letters to his secret love: his beloved A. In these letters, which he does not send, he narrates his daily day-to-day life in these new circumstances, with an honest voice, balancing what is really important in life, the sense of existence, the need of a collective support or the individual freedom versus authority and disregard. Such Camus did in The Plague, a book that, by the way, he is struggling read.
Galder Reguera (Bilbao, 1975) holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Deusto. He has developed his professional career in the worlds of culture and football, and has been Project Manager of the Athletic Club Foundation since 2008. He is the author of several novels and essays. This is his first novel published by Edebé, a work that, according to the author himself, is one of his most personal works.

Among high society of England at the beginning of the last century, appearances come first, although behind them there are often only meanness, cowardice and abjection. Jonathan’s father was disowned by his family, the Loughton’s, one of the wealthiest families in the county, when he married an East Indian. The young boy will only meet his powerful grandfather at the age of sixteen, at his father’s funeral. This is also how he will meet his clever and charming cousin, Eileen, to whom he feels madly attracted.
But meeting these two people will change Jonathan’s future forever. He, a clever and educated boy but used to living in the countryside, will have to discover and face his unknown rich and powerful family heritage, especially after his grandfather’s death: Secrets, crimes, mysteries, brawls, jealousy, envy, alliances, losses and loves will suddenly become the plot of the major adventure of his life.
Jordi Sierra i Fabra was born in Barcelona in 1947. He began to write when he was eight, and when he was twelve he decided that his vocation was to become a novelist. Coba, Barcanova, Cervantes Chico, La Galera, Anaya, LIJ Iberomericano, Fiter i Rosell, among many others) but they have also been made into films. He is a tireless traveller and works without rest.

The successful publication of rapper and Youtuber Pibonacci’s first novel brought not only satisfaction to its author, but also a libel suit! But what was the connection between the story of an antique dealer and a circus mentalist, which was the plot of the novel, and the founding of the claimant’s empire? Why does he feel so offended and a victim of slander? Is there any truth to that outlandish plot?
Lawyers, detectives, publishers and some fragments of Pibonacci’s novel will drive us to unravel, step by step, a mysterious plot made of many layers.

A STORY OF ADVENTURE AND LEARNING, TWELVE ALONE IS A CROSSROAD BETWEEN THE MARTIAN AND HARRY POTTER. AN EXTRAORDINARY SCIENCE FICTION THAT BRINGS THE DETAILS OF AN ASTRONAUT’S CAREER TO YOUNG AUDIENCE.
When the space shuttle Sila V takes off for the far reaches of the Solar System, it does so with the wrong crew: twelve teenagers. The boys and girls, selected by WASA (the future NASA) to promote the Lunae 2 mission, come from twelve different countries and have very different social backgrounds. Faced with the impossibility of turning around, and during the two years of the trip, they will have to live in a framework of isolation and multiple difficulties, such as the demands of a hard training, the low gravity or the unknown reasons of their unexpected take-off.
At a certain point, the twelve have split up. Six remain in the Solar System and the other six end up through a wormhole on a planet in the star Fomalhaut (“Whale’s Mouth” in Arabic), an extraordinary place that hides the secrets of the civilisation that created the egg ship: the Tubulars. In their attempt to undo what happened, the two groups go through experiences that will affect the future of humanity.

Human beings are obsessed with the future. We can all see ourselves in ten or twenty years’ time doing whatever. But the future has its own rules. Nothing happens as planned. How many stories end differently to what we expect? How many broken dreams get lost in the way? How many plans end in nothing? A half? A third? Only 10%? What happens to the rest? Are we lucky enough? How do we measure luck? There are no statistics about it, but it happens all the time, everywhere, to all kinds of people. It is an invisible statistic to which we all belong to. Life in the past could be very complicated and danger was always around. Surviving in Ancient Rome, Prehistory, Ancient Egypt or the Middle Ages could be much harder than the last screen of a video game.
El Fisgón Histórico unravels history with a mixture of rigour and fun that makes the reader feel like the main character. This is not your average classroom manual, but a guide to survival in the past. How would you build a hunting tool in prehistoric times? What kind of gladiator would you be in Ancient Rome? What places would you avoid if you woke up in the Middle Ages?
El Fisgón Histórico (The History Snoop) (Vélez-Málaga, 1986) is the artistic name of Juan de Aragón, an illustrator devoted to making history popular among younger and not so young people. He studied at the San Telmo School of Arts, and since then he hasn’t put down his pencil. He has published several graphic novels, such as the successful HeroínassecretasdelahistoriadeEspaña(Plan B) and Viaje porlasciudadesperdidas (La Galera).
