An amazing opportunity to work intensively with Eden Court CREATIVE on building and devising a fresh new innovative piece of street theatre. During the first 3 days you will learn the basics of street theatre, then devise and rehearse a new street theatre performance which you will take to the streets of Inverness from the 15-17 October as part of the Inverness Street Theatre Festival. No previous performance experience necessary. Costume and make-up will be provided. You must be able to attend all three rehearsal days and all of the performance days. The group will be creating a movement piece to perform at Halloween on Ness Islands at the end of October, then working towards a performance for Spring Into Eden, March 2016.

Now heading into its fifth year we are auditioning again for the Young Dance Company. Applicants need to have commitment, motivation and enthusiasm as well as previous dance experience in any style. The Company will focus on Contemporary technique incorporating other styles into choreography and performances. As well as local performances, the Young Dance Company will participate in national opportunities offered by YDance, get the chance to work with professional choreographers and perform nationally. An Taghadh (The Election) a new play from TÒG Inbhir Pheofharain follows the journey of a man who dreams of political success but faces unlikely opposition. Brathadairean (Hacktivists) by Sgioba Dràma Òigridh Inbhir Nis - written by Ben Ockrent and translated into Gaelic by Eden Court CREATIVE’s Roddy Nicolson - is about a group of harmless IT nerds who call themselves hackers. The dynamics of the gang change when a new girl joins.

SCOTTISH ENSEMBLE WORKSHOPS BEGINNER’S STRING DAY JIM LOVE STUDIO I SAT 17 OCT I 13.00–17.00 I ALL AGES I £5.00

Led by Scottish Ensemble's violinist Joanne Green, this afternoon of fun-filled music-making will give young players starting out a rare opportunity to play in an ensemble with their peers. Through a variety of interactive warm-ups, games and group exercises, SE's friendly and inspiring musicians will help everyone improve their rhythm, sound and ability to play as a team. The day will end with an opportunity to showcase the day's work, with an ensemble performance for friends and family. All players up to grade 3 standard welcome.

Calling all dancers and strings players! Led by professional dancer Hannah Venet and the musicians of Scottish Ensemble, this exciting day of collaboration will present dancers and string players with the opportunity to explore links between music and movement. Inspired by SE's collaboration with Swedish dance company Andersson Dance (visiting Eden Court on Tue 17 Nov), the workshop will simultaneously involve a group of dancers and a group of string players. After unlocking new ideas to help posture, technique and performance in both disciplines, the two groups will come together to prepare a short performance to showcase the day's activity to friends and family. MUSIC MOVES attendees will all receive a discount to SE's Goldberg Variations concert on TUE 17 NOV.

Birthlight Baby Yoga classes enhance playful interaction and communication between parent and baby and promote babies’ healthy development. Baby Yoga expands the benefits of touch by using fun movements, sound/voice and rhythms interactively. The classes promote joint parent and baby relaxation using different techniques including music and awareness of breathing. Simple post-natal yoga is included so please wear something comfortable. The Box Office closes 15 minutes after the beginning of each day’s final performance. You can book your tickets in person, by phone, or online at www.eden-court.co.uk To make it easier to book, we have given each class or event a number. Make sure you book the ticket you want for the class you want by giving our staff the number when booking.

Friends discount If you become an Eden Court Friend then you’ll receive a discount off regular classes (£1.00 for adults and 50p for children). For further information ask a member of the Box Office staff.

Student discount If you’re currently a student at university or college you’ll receive a £1.00 discount off all our adult classes. For further information ask a member of the Box Office staff.

Bursary Scheme We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get creative! Eden Court’s bursary scheme helps people on low incomes attend classes for half price (or try a one-off event for free). To qualify you must be in receipt of any of the following benefits: Job Seekers Allowance (income based), Income Support, Disability Allowance, or Attendance Allowance. Please contact Box Office on 01463 234 234 for a bursary form or download one from the DOWNLOADS section of our website. Please note that Bursary Applications must be received at least ONE WEEK BEFORE THE START OF TERM.

Registration For the first week of the term, please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for the tutor to make a note of all the attendees’ names and contact details.

Additional Support Needs Please note that parents/guardians must give details of any additional support/learning assistance your child may receive in school to the class tutor. Participants with additional support needs will need to attend classes with a support worker.

Important information for under 18’s All under 18’s attending classes will require a signed permission slip from a parent or guardian. PARENTS MUST ATTEND THE START OF THE FIRST SESSION in order to sign the form.

Reservations Reservations can be made in person or over the phone for any Eden Court class. Reserved spaces will be held for 3 working days, after which time they will be released for sale. Please note that we do NOT accept reservations for events less than 7 days away.

Refunds and exchanges If you try the first class of a course and find it unsuitable, please contact Box Office immediately. We will try to transfer you to a different class (subject to availability) or offer you a credit voucher for the remaining classes. Please note refunds are not given for missed classes and will only be issued if a class has been cancelled by Eden Court.

Changes & cancellations All details are correct at the time of going to print. Eden Court reserves the right to make changes to the advertised programme, but will endeavour to make as few as possible.

Term times Most classes run for one eleven week term from MON 24 AUG until FRI 20 NOV (with a two week break for the October holidays). Please make sure you read the class dates carefully as these may vary.

Many courses are designed to be attended as a block. With some you must sign up in week one, but with others you can start later. Just look for the ‘Block Booking’ logo and give box office a call for more information. You’ll save £1.00 on every class if you Block Book, AND guarantee your place on the course. Advance booking is essential for most classes and helps to avoid disappointment, as many courses fill up quickly. When you see the ‘Drop In’ logo you can pick and choose which classes you want to go to. You don’t have to commit to a term all at once–perfect if you just want to give something a try.

NB: Drop In classes can only be booked on the day, and are subject to availability. Remember to arrive in plenty of time as spaces fill up quickly.
