SPECIAL EVENT

We’re delighted to once again be hosting Scotland’s national companies – with National Theatre of Scotland presenting Burn, created by Alan Cumming and Steven Hoggett, Coppélia from Scottish Ballet, The Verdi Collection from Scottish Opera and a Viennese Gala from RSNO.

All this is just a taster of the many shows and activities that Eden Court has on offer. Inside you will find close to 100 different theatre experiences, featuring everything from largescale musicals to ballet, opera, comedy and music. I hope the variety and scope of these events illustrates the strength of Eden Court’s continuing ambition to bring the most exciting live performance to the Highlands. Lastly, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made me feel so welcome since joining Eden Court in March. I have already heard from so many people about what a special place Eden Court is to them. I’m incredibly excited for everything that Eden Court is going to achieve in the future – to work with the brilliant team here to make it happen – and to share it all with you.

We’ve also got a great offer for families this season – firstly there will be the return of Eden Court’s much-loved panto, which this year will be Peter Pan, followed by Scottish Ballet’s The Snow Queen in January and Around The World in 80 Days in February. In our Coming Soon section we’re excited to announce some of the biggest shows that will be hitting our stages in 2023 – including The Mousetrap, which will come to Eden Court as part of its 70th Anniversary Tour, Edinburgh festival hit Pride & Prejudice (Sort Of) and the return of Eden Court’s very own musical, produced in partnership with Raw Material, The Stamping Ground. Beyond live performance, the Inverness Film Festival will celebrate its 20th year in 2022 and will, once again, showcase the best cinema from around the globe. We also have a whole host of classes within our Studio Programme for both young people and adults to take part in – so if you are looking for your own outlet to be creative, please do check them out.

Both women now have to fight to find and keep a place in the dazzling, dangerous world of the Scottish Court of James IV. It’s a world where war is never far away, words of love and promises of peace are not what they seem and where poets might turn out to be more dangerous than any assassin.
