We, of course, have a range of other fabulous productions including two very different outdoor (sort of) shows with Nicole & Martin and the Big White tent making a welcome return and possibly

Inner Sound is a group of enthusiastic and energetic folk, based in Skye and Lochalsh, who love getting together to indulge in their passion for singing. This year they return to Eden Court with Patience, their fourteenth Gilbert and Sullivan production. The lighthearted operetta pokes fun at the aesthetic movement of the late 19th century in England. Known as Art for Art’s Sake, it valued notions of beauty and aesthetic quality above all else.

Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story comes alive in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious stage adaptation. This gripping production, directed by Robin Herford, is a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror. A lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black, engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds. WWW.THEWOMANINBLACK.COM

Starring Brian Capron (Coronation Street, Where the Heart Is, Grange Hill, Celebrity Masterchef), Corrinne Wicks (Doctors/Emmerdale) and Gary Turner (Emmerdale) as Peter. April 1939. An English couple, Peter and Suzy, are living in Provence in idyllic isolation, far, it seems, from the rumblings of the coming war. Their peace is shattered from within when Suzy discovers she has been betrayed: Peter is not the man he claims to be. Suzy's life is thrown into turmoil as the possibility arises that Peter may in fact be a ruthless killer on the run. Then a Scotland Yard detective arrives and events become even more complicated and frightening ...Lies, subterfuge and murder make this fast-moving thriller a dark and disturbing roller coaster of bluff and double bluff. In May 1941, Hitler’s deputy, Rudolf Hess, bailed out over Scotland on a self-appointed mission of peace. Immediately imprisoned, he was later sentenced to life at the Nuremberg Trials on charges of conspiracy for war and crimes against peace. In Michael Burrell’s award-winning one-man play, Hess, played by Derek Crawford Munn, supposes what he might say to an audience about himself, the Third Reich, and the world we have created since the downfall of the Nazis and asks the question - how much has really changed?

Created to honour the bicentenary of Jane Austen’s death in 2017, this promises to be an unusually intimate performance of the beloved author’s most
famous work. The enduring story of the romance between Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy will be read by Hayley Mills in a drawing-room setting, in much the same way that Jane herself first read the story aloud to the Austen family and their closest friends. Weaving around those words will be Carl Davis’ magical score from the much loved BBC TV drama series of the 1990s. WWW.PRIDEANDPREJUDICELIVE.COM

50-somethings Rob and Cathy are looking forward to reclaiming their own lives now that their daughter Nicola is grown-up and settled but looming over them is a threat that could rip their future apart. Descent explores what happens as they try to hold on to each other – and themselves in the face of early onset dementia.
It’s 1961 and Chet Baker is in jail in Lucca
Unflinching from the heartbreak they face, this perceptive drama celebrates the courage, the hope, the humanity and even the humour they bring to the fight.
Voted best trumpet player in the world only five years earlier, now he’s doing time in an Italian jail for drug offences. Italians strolling around the town walls stop and listen to the sound of Chet’s golden trumpet wafting through the prison bars.
Supported by Creative Scotland.
Chet shared his prison cell with a storyteller. The storyteller became his friend.

From a young age we are taught to aim high, to reach for the stars, to want more, more than our parents, more than the generations before us, to climb the social ladder. But as we surge forward, as we grapple for university places and promotions, what are we leaving behind? And from our ladder in the stars, if we look back, what do we see?

Comedian Eleanor Conway’s debut stand up show, Walk of Shame, premiered at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe to critical acclaim and now she’s heading here as part of her UK tour. Eleanor has always been a woman of extremes - she partied around the world as a music journalist, ran off to Asia to work for the triads, made hardcore porn and Tinder’d her way through most of London. Now sober from alcohol and substances she’s failing to find moderation and meaning. Walk of Shame is about sex, sobriety, Sambuca and the modern addict that lies within us all.

All children, except one, grow up…
Internationally acclaimed theatre director Yaël Farber (Les Blancs) draws on multiple accounts to create her urgent, hypnotic production of Salome.
Sally Cookson directs this wondrously inventive production, a co-production with Bristol Old Vic theatre captured live at the National Theatre. Peter Pan, leader of the Lost Boys invites Wendy to Neverland, where Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily and the vengeful Captain Hook await. A riot of magic, music and makebelieve ensues. A delight for children and adults alike.
This charged version turns the infamous biblical tale on its head, placing the girl we call Salomé at the centre of a revolution. An occupied desert nation. A radical from the wilderness on hunger strike. A girl whose mysterious dance will change the course of the world. Epic. A near-perfect production. THE GUARDIAN (on Les Blancs )
