The Certificate in TESOL from EDENZ Colleges is an initial teaching qualification for English speakers (Native or Non-Native) who wish to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Training delivery will predominantly be Face-to-Face. Students receive a combination of theory, practice, and observation. Delivery methods may include classroom discussion, seminars, role-plays and one-on-one guidance.

The Diploma in TESOL from EDENZ Colleges is designed for English teachers (Native or Non-Native) who wish to deepen their theoretical study of TESOL methodologies and Linguistics. Training delivery will predominantly be Face-to-Face. Students receive a combination of theory, practice, and observation. Delivery methods may include classroom discussion, seminars, role-plays and one-on-one guidance.
4 core assessments make up the EDENZ Diploma In TESOL, and are offered over 12 months depending on chosen course intensity. Written Examination Observation Portfolio

Existing domestic and international teachers and teachers who have been teaching for some time and aiming for a training or management or DOS job
Academic Entry Non-native speakers will be required to provide recent evidence of their competence in English; • Have IELTS or equivalent : minimum band 6 • a minimum of 2 years’ full-time ESOL class teaching experience or relevant work experience • a bachelor’s degree
DIPLOMA IN TESOL LEVEL 7
Graduates from this programme have the required skills for entry into higher level programmes (Bachelors) or direct employment in the Education sector.

Content Summary •Grammar & Lexis: how the grammatical and lexical systems of English work and interrelate, together with the obstacles they pose for learners • Phonetics & Phonology: study of the key features of spoken English and investigation into ways of using this knowledge
• Teaching & Learning: an exploration of everything that goes on in the Third Millennium language classroom, from broad approaches such as Task-Based Learning to highly specific teaching techniques such as eliciting, giving instructions and correcting errors.
The Diploma in TESOL from EDENZ Colleges can lead to well paid NZ and international ESOL teaching posts and/or managerial pathways, such as Director of Studies or Academic Directors at private language schools.
• Teachers with special needs will be required to demonstrate satisfactory techniques and strategies for coping with the demands of the course. They will provide at interview a demonstration of these strategies. • An international TESOL certificate (CEL TA/trinity TESOL cert)
