Jenny Richardson Fore for Juvenile Court Judge

Jenny Richardson Fore is running for Juvenile Judge in the 21st Judicial District Court. She is married to Colt Fore and has two children, Cecile and Cassius.  Living in Denham Springs, they are also active participants and supporters of their community and throughout the 21st District.

Fore is a 2010 graduate of Louisiana State University, having obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in political science. While at LSU and as an LSU Tiger Cheerleader, Fore balanced the pressures of being a student-athlete while excelling academically. She then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Southern University Law Center in 2013.

After law school, Jenny went to work for the Honorable Blair D. Edwards as her law clerk, making her the only candidate having been employed by a Juvenile Court. Fore says, “This is where my passion grew for the children and families of our communities. God put me in this court for a reason, and I wanted to do everything I could to make a difference in juvenile justice and the lives of families.”

For the past 10 years, Fore has continued her work with youth by serving with the Public Defender’s Office in Juvenile Court.  She has also been heavily involved in the juvenile drug court program, worked closely with Judge Edwards, District Attorneys’ offices, the Office of Juvenile Justice’s probation officers, school systems, and families, to do everything they could together to ensure at-risk and system-involved juveniles become productive members of society.

At approximately 1,900 cases, Fore has handled the most juvenile delinquency cases out of any of the candidates in this juvenile judge race. Of these, close to 1,500 involved juveniles placed in detention. As such, Fore has established and maintained a relationship with the facility that detains these youth, the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. This includes her having participated in cost-saving technologies with the Center, such as online court hearings, where from 2021 to present Fore engaged in approximately 575 online court sessions.

When asked about her “Why,” Jenny stated, “I know firsthand the importance of maintaining a court system that protects our citizens and communities. Providing delinquent juveniles with consequences, along with resources and rehabilitation to make them productive members of society, is what is desperately needed. This includes support and guidance for families to be successful.  Here, I will lead our juvenile court with the personal care and attention our children and families need, along with an unwavering toughness against those who harm our citizens. I know what it takes to combat the rise of juvenile crime from a legal standpoint, and as your Juvenile Judge, I will bring this knowledge and passion to the courtroom. I will continue to use my experience and understanding of at-risk youth to work toward lowering juvenile crime while listening to those citizens who have been affected. Together, we can make a difference in our communities.”

“I have met many of you along the campaign trail and look forward to meeting the rest of you along the way.  I would appreciate your support and vote on March 29, 2025.”
