Carlee Gonzales' 5 Favorite Things

Carlee was born and raised in Hammond where she attended SLU Lab School and graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas in 2000. During her time at St. Thomas, Carlee was a student athlete playing basketball, volleyball, and running track. She continued her basketball career at Loyola where she earned her undergraduate degree in 2004 and Juris Doctorate in 2009. After returning home to practice law, Carlee married Ryan Gonzales, a fellow STA alumni who also returned home to open his chiropractic practice, Gonzales Chiropractic. In 2015, Carlee made the move to open her private law practice. She is a fourth generation Hammond entrepreneur, as her family founded the Toggery Shop, Magnolia Inn & Restaurant and developed Whitmar Acres. Carlee has served on the Hammond City Council since 2019 and is involved in numerous civic organizations such as Kiwanis, Rotary, SLU Felions and Tangipahoa Professional Women’s Organization. She’s also an avid SLU baseball fan. Aside from her husband Ryan and their son Frederic, here are Carlee's 5 favorite things…

1. Dogs

Carlee has always been a dog person. She shares her home with 2 adopted fur children, Kaja the English Mastiff and Gryff the Boxer mix.

2. Bonnie Raitt

Since she was 8 years old, Carlee has been Bonnie’s biggest fan. She hasn’t met her yet, so if you have any connections to her, let Carlee know!

3. Making Lebanese Food

Her paternal grandmother immigrated to Hammond from Lebanon after WWI, and Carlee loves making family recipes for the holidays.

4. Family Vacations

Carlee, Ryan and Frederic are at their best when they travel and go on big adventures. She loves planning the next trip as they travel home from a great vacation.

5. English Royalty

Carlee is an avid Anglophile and loves English history and royal watching. Visiting the Tower of London is on her bucket list.
