¡BIENVENIDOS a la Font Vella Lanzarote International WELCOME to the Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon 2019! Marathon 2019! Con el sello European Sport Destination como referente de las pruebas internacionales que se celebran en la isla de Lanzarote, les damos una cordial y cálida bienvenida a la edición número 29 de este evento deportivo. Ustedes, los corredores, familiares y amigos que les acompañan, son los verdaderos protagonistas de lo que, sin duda, será la prueba deportiva de mayor afluencia de este 2019. Camino de los treinta años (29 años con la cancelación del 2014) este evento se consolida gracias a su participación.

From the main distance, 42,195km, the 21,100km and the 10km, with the Marathon Kids, our organization has invested all its energy to carry out a great running party, taking great care of every detail to ensure your enjoyment.

Como cada año, después de casi tres décadas, Lanzarote acoge uno de los eventos deportivos más destacados y consolidados del panorama insular y regional, la maratón más antigua de toda Canarias: la Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon.

Every year for the past 30 years Lanzarote has hosted the most outstanding event in the sporting calender in the most spectacular landscape. The Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon is the oldest Marathon in the Canary Islands.

Cientos de mujeres y hombres de numerosas nacionalidades se dan cita en nuestra isla para compartir una experiencia única en un entorno privilegiado, para compartir la pasión por correr, el afán de superación y los desafíos personales.

Hundreds of men and women meet on our island to share a unique experience in wonderful surroundings. They share their passion for running, excellence and personal achievement.

Además de las tradicionales carreras de 42, 21 y 10 kilómetros también se suman la Maratón de Wheelers, la carrera solidaria de Papá Noel de 5 km y la tradicional Buddy’s Marathon Kids. Modalidades para todos los gustos y edades para que todos y todas podamos disfrutar de esta prueba deportiva.

This year in addition to the usual events of 42km, 21km 10km and wheelers race there will be the 5km Santa Solidarity race and the traditional Buddy Kids Marathon Race. There will be races for all ages and abilities.

The oldest marathon in the Canaries celebrated its twenty-nine edition this year. With an average temperature of 19ºC, the Font Vella Lanzarote Marathon is held in December along a coastal strip in the island of Lanzarote, covering the municipalities of Costa Teguise, Arrecife, San Bartolomé and Puerto del Carmen. There are available three d istances (42km, 21km,10km and wheelchair marathon), and each one of the different categories is rewarded by age and gender. A unique sport event, where each participant enjoy an unforgettable experience along t he coastal strip of Lanzarote. It takes places in December with a pleasant temperature more typical of summer than the Christmas time. The history of the oldest marathon of the Canary Islands significantly changes in 2012, when Sands Beach Active takes over the organization of the race and strengthening it a s reference in the Canary Archipelago and giving it an international status.

DECÁLOGO 1- Lee todo el reglamento de la prueba. 2- Escucha con atención las indicaciones del speaker antes de comenzar tu carrera. 3- Todo el recorrido estará indicado y delimitado. Corre siempre por el lado derecho del recorrido, adelanta siempre por la izquierda y vuelve al lado derecho inmediatamente. 4- Si vas a coger el bus hasta la salida acude puntual a la àrada, los autobuses no esperarán por ti. 5- Acude a tu salida con tiempo suficiente para prepararte para la carrera.

6- Guarda tu ropa en las bolsa oficial de la prueba, el guardarropa no aceptará otras bolsas. 7- No olvides hidratarte bien antes, durante y después de la carrera. No esperes a tener sed para beber. 8- Si quieres retirarte, hazlo en un punto de avituallamiento, comunícaselo al personal de carrera y entrégale tu dorsal. 9- Tienes un máximo de 6 horas para completar los 42195 m. Habrá tiempos de corte situados en los avituallamientos, si no llegas dentro del tiempo de corte estarás descalificad@ automáticamente. 10- ¡Respeta el medio ambiente, a los atletas y diviértete!

APARCAMIENTO

GUARDARROPA

Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon te recomienda como zona de aparcamiento las calles colindantes al lugar de la celebración de la Expo, situadas en el extremo más al norte de Costa Teguise. Es aconsejable que prestes atención a los horarios de los diferentes eventos para llegar con suficiente antelación, especialmente el día de la carrera.

Se puede depositar una bolsa por dorsal en el servicio de guardarropa en la zona del Área de Servicios. Sólo se podrá dejar la bolsa oficial facilitada por Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon. Este servicio está disponible para todas las distancias y es deber de cada participante identificar su bolsa con la pegatina facilitada por la organización. No se recogerá ninguna bolsa ajena a la oficial de la prueba o que no lleve la pegatina con el número de dorsal. El servicio de guardarropa estará disponible desde las 06:30 horas hasta las 15:00 horas del día 07 de Diciembre. Las distancias de Medio Maratón y 10km contarán con un servicio extra de guardarropa en las Salidas de Puerto del Carmen y Arrecife. El servicio de guardarropa se encargará de llevar todas las bolsas hasta el Área de Servicios en la Meta. Es imprescindible mostrar el dorsal para retirar la bolsa.

Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon recommends parking on the streets nearby to the venue of the Expo, located in the far north of Costa Teguise. It is advisable to pay attention to the start time to each of the events, especially on the race day.

You can deposit a backpack in the cloakroom service in Services Area. You can only leave the official bag provided by Font Vella Lanzarote International Marathon. This service is available for all distances and it is the duty of each participant to identify your bag with the sticker provided by the organization. The cloakroom services are available from 06:30 hours to 15:00 hours on the 7th of December. Distances Half Marathon and 10km will have an extra service in each Starting Point in Puerto del Carmen and Arrecife. The cloakroom service will take all bags to the Service Area at the Finish Line. You must wear your Bib Number to collect back your bag.
