RUNNERS GUIDE COLLECTING YOUR BIB NUMBER
The bib numbers can be collected in the following directions: Friday: in the RENAULT Authorized Dealer Herrero y Lopez, in Avenida Juan de Borbón, from 10:00 to 14:00, and from 16:30 to 20:30. You can go there using public transportation, for which there are tram and bus lines in the surroundings. Saturday: in the sports department of El Corte Inglés in Avenida de la Libertad, in the third floor, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:30. To collect the bib number of other participant, you need a written authorization with a copy of your ID card or passport. If you cannot collect your bib number on Friday nor on Sunday, please inform us by mail at our address (info@murciamaraton.com) and you will be able to collect it on Sunday before the race. The stand of the organization will be located in front of the Town Hall of Murcia, and will be open to collect bib numbers until one hour before the start of the races. Participants of the Half Marathon and 10K, although are also advised to collect their bib numbers on Friday and Saturday, can come on Sunday to collect their bib numbers without informing us, until 45 minutes before the start of each race.
START OF THE MARATHON & HALF MARATHON
The start of both races will be at 8:30 AM. It will be located in the Gran Vía of Escultor Francisco Salzillo, by the El Corte Inglés of Gran Vía. Each race will start using half of the street. Each runner will access their start box 10 minutes before the start of the races. There is a limit of 6 hours for the Marathon and 2 hours and a half for the Half Marathon.
START OF THE 10K RACE
The start will be at 9:00. It will start from the Gran Vía of Escultor Francisco Salzillo, by the crossing with Street Madre de Dios. There is a limit of one hour and a half.
WC & TOILETTES
There will be chemical WCs near the start area, which will be passed by kilometers 14, 20, 33 and 41 of the Half and full Marathon. There will be more in the finish area.
WARDROBE
There will be a wardrobe tent around the Glorieta of España, in front of the Town Hall of Murcia and finish area. It will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:45 for dropping bags and from 11:30 to 14:30 to recollect them. The wardrobe is limited to a handbag per person, and it must come already labelled with the bib number.
FINISH LINE OF ALL RACES
It will be located in the Square of Cardenal Belluga, also known as the Square of the Cathedral. Runners will be awarded their finisher medal when the cross the final arc.
FINISH AREA
It will be located in the Glorieta of España, in front of the Town Hall, at barely 50 meters of the finish line. Runners must free the finish line and proceed to the finish area to avoid blocking the finish line. In this area, runners will find liquid (water, isotonic drink, coke, beer) and solid refreshments (fruit). Also, there will be a tent with massaging for the runners. NOTE: only finished runners can enter this area.
SHOWERS
All participants can use the showers at the Sports Center Pabellón Federico de Arce in Street Isaac Albéniz, at about 800 meters from the finish line, from 10:30 to 13:45.
PARKING PLACES
The closest large free parking is the Parking of Malecón, with entrance by the Paseo of Malecón, very close to the highway, with capacity for 700 vehicles. There are other paid parkings in the city of Murcia. If you need to make use of these parkings, we recommend you to come to Murcia with at least two hours of spare time before the start of the Marathon. Road traffic around the circuit of the race will start suffering restrictions one hour before the start of the race.
CIRCUIT
Please check the web and the magazine delivered with the bib number for information on the circuit.
MEDICAL SERVICES
There will be full medical service for runners, with a field hospital and 3 medical ambulances along the circuit.
TROPHY CEREMONY
Starting at 11:00 AM and every hour, the trophies for all the categories with complete podiums will be handed. The ceremony will begin with the categories of the 10K race.
PACEMAKERS
Several teams of runners will mark the paces to finish the Marathon in 3h00, 3h30, 4h00, 4h30 and 5h00, and closing the race you’ll see the members of the Club Los Tractores and our friend Fausto Chicano, accompanying the last runners until the finish line.
REFRESHMENT POINTS
There will be refreshments points with water and isotonic drinks every 5 kilometers, and in the stands at kilometers 15, 25 and 40, there will be fruit.
