SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDY IN NEW ZEALAND
UNIVERSITY OF CANTEBURY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship recognises top international scholars and supports them in study towards an undergraduate Engineering degree at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Thirty-five scholarships are available annually.

BROWNLIE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship supports students for study towards a research doctoral degree at the University of Canterbury.

NEW ZEALAND SCHOLARSHIP
The New Zealand Government offers New Zealand Scholarships to eligible citizens of developing countries conducting their undergraduate and postgraduate academic study in New Zealand and in the Pacific.

WELLINGTON MASTER’S BY THESIS SCHOLARSHIP
To encourage postgraduate research at Victoria University of Wellington, the University offers scholarships to students about to begin a full-time, research-focussed Master’s degree.
ELIGIBILITY: The scholarship is open to students who are eligible at the time of application to enroll for a Master’s degree by thesis. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded a $15,000 NZD tax free stipend. International students other than those from Australia will be liable to pay the difference between the full international student fee and the domestic fee. DEADLINE: November.
WELLINGTON INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
The purpose of the Wellington International Excellence Scholarship is to recruit high-achieving undergraduate international students currently studying in New Zealand to Victoria University of Wellington and to support them in their studies.
ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is for international school leaver students who have completed at least one full year (ie. their Year 12 year) at a New Zealand secondary school and who are enrolling at Victoria University of Wellington in Trimester 1 of the year following application. Scholarships will be competitive on the basis of academic merit. AWARD: Scholarships will be comprised of $10,000 for the first year of study, and a further $5,000 for the second and third years of study, provided a GPA of 7 is maintained. DEADLINE: October.

This scholarship supports research on the environment by students studying at the University of Canterbury for a Master’s or PhD degree. The Sir Neil Isaac Scholarship in Environmental Science was founded in 2014 in memory of Sir Neil Isaac, who had a lifelong enthusiasm for enhancing relationships between people and the environment.
ELIGIBILITY: The scholarship is tenable while the recipient is enrolled full-time in a program for a Master’s or PhD degree at the University of Canterbury, working in environmental science or environmental conservation under the supervision of a member of the University of Canterbury staff. The University welcomes applications for the University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarship from international students who are currently in New Zealand and are new to studying at Waikato.

AUT INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is making available International Excellence Scholarships to all international students who are beginning their studies at AUT full-time from Semester 2, 2020 (and for all remaining 2020 intakes). Only high achieving international students will be considered.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be full-fee paying international students who have a current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study an AUT program and an equivalent GPA of 6.0 out of 9.0 (B+ average) or above. AWARD: The Scholarships have a value of up to NZD $7,500. DEADLINE: July.
