SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDY IN RUSSIA
RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS
International students who apply to study at Russian universities are eligible to apply for state funded scholarships that are a limited number. There is a competitive selection for the scholarship (quota for international students) which is organized by Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices around the world. In the countries where Rossotrudnichestvo is not represented, the competitive selection is organized by Russian diplomatic missions (embassies or consulates).
ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to certain groups of foreigners, Russians living abroad, and immigrants. These students can apply for state scholarships on the same terms as Russian citizens once they pass entrance exams or Uniform State Examination (EGE). AWARD: Recipients will be awarded free tuition for the entire duration of the chosen program; maintenance allowance (for the entire duration of study regardless of the candidate’s success). In 2020, an average scholarship amounted to 1,484 roubles a month (approximately USD 22); dormitory accommodation (if available). DEADLINE: The deadline varies depending on the scholarship. POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AT SIBERIAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY IN RUSSIA
Students who wish to pursue research in the areas of theoretical non-linear optics, x-ray spectroscopy, nanoplasmonics and quabtum chemistry can apply for the ‘postdoctoral research fellowship’ funded by the Institute of Nanotechnology, Spectroscopy and Quabtum chemistry. This scholarships aims to support candidates with the effort, study and research in all areas of knowledge.
ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is open to any nationality. For full eligibility requirements, click here. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded 100,000 RUB per month. Additionally, recipients will receive comfortable housing near the working place (the rent is about $30-50 USD per month for 1-2 rooms apartment); Reimbursement of travel expenses for relocation (one-way flight tickets); Additional resources such as “conference money”, travel money and resources needed for buying the equipment; Optional survival course of Russian as a foreign language; and Administrative support for getting a Russian VISA and further socialization in Krasnoyarsk. The School of Russian and Asian studies offer a number of scholarships for students that combine an intensive language course with career building skills. The aim of this scholarship is to support and nurture students in diverse fields such as journalism, economics, history, and art.

The National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) awards domestic and international doctoral students scholarships for research achievements.

RUSSIAN SCHOLARSHIP PROJECTS
“Global Universities” Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation offers Open Doors “Russian Scholarship 2020” for International Students. The grant is available on the basis of competition to pursue a master degree.
ELIGIBILITY: All international students are eligible to apply. AWARD: The winners will receive full tuition fees to study at any Russian university. DEADLINE: 10 December 2020.
