High school life in the United Kingdom may be more traditional than you are used to. School uniforms are common, and addressing your teachers with "Mrs., Mr., and Ms." is standard. This is something our exchange students highly appreciate since it adds a lot to the cultural experience. In the United Kingdom, there is a lot to discover. The capital city of London is amazing, but the country has plenty more to offer. What Students say about their Study Abroad Experience

“I have grown much from my abroad experience in the UK! I have learnt discipline and how to travel and do things by myself.” – Leonardo M. from Italy

“Waking up in England, catching a double decker bus to school, participating in A-Level classes and making British friends was a life-changing experience. I'll never forget my time here.” – Kim from Taiwan

“A really great memory while I was in the UK is when we travelled to Wales for Christmas where I met more of my host family's family. They were all really welcoming and made Christmas really great. Waking up on Christmas morning was really fun!” – Magnes M. from Norway

“I have realised how varied and beautiful the world is while studying in the UK and I want to keep discovering it. My proudest moment during my year abroad was realizing a new me; being able to be independent and discover sides of myself that I didn't know existed.” – Miriana M. from Italy

“This year has been by far the best of my life. I met people that not only became my friends, but shook up my life for the best, everyday. Coming here, living alone, re-starting your life from nothing, it is the most positively traumatizing experience ever. If you have the financial possibility, go study in a boarding school and live in the dorm. The rules are strict, and the curfews are early, but you will not ever regret it, I promise.” – Sara from Italy

“I really really love my school in Pennsylvania, USA! And, I have so many friends, everyone is really friendly! Everything is great! The school and host family are really nice.” – Chunchun from China

“My first month in France has given me more French knowledge than 4 years of Swedish school. If you can go, I ask you – go, you will discover a new world!” – Saga from Sweden

“My favorite memories with my host family was definitely our trips. I am so glad that we traveled a lot together and they always put me as a priority. Every time we traveled, we had so much fun and we made a lot of memories together! After everything we have been through together, I feel like I really am part of their family and they are part of mine.” – Maria from Brazil
