08:55AM - CHILI’S BAR & GRILL
DEFINING BRAND VALUES AT CHILI’S SYNOPSIS Chris continues the story he shared at the 2017 Employee Engagement Awards last year about the Chili’s journey to relevance with their Team Members and Guests. He will introduce two new programs: the Best U Edu program, which helps existing TMs get their GED or Bachelors degree fully paid for by the company and the Certified Shift Leader program which has earned the recognition as a certified apprentice program for the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF). This will all be tied into the importance of defining what a company/brand really values, and the need to ensure teams are fully aware of those values and make the connection to the meaning or purpose that work should exemplify.
CHRIS EBBELER, DIRECTOR, WORKPLACE COMMUNITY - @CAPTNEXPERIENCE For the past year, Chris has led a reinvention of social media for the Chili’s Grill & Bar brand, infusing a long-lost sense of humor, authenticity, and brand. He has infused voice into their national platform, and spearheaded a strategy to foster brand love through engagement and community. During his eleven year tenure, Chris has been the guiding force behind the design and development of experiences that connect ChiliHeads to the deeper meaning behind why we work. He leads a passionate team of believers who craft ways to emotionally connect with Guests and Team Members in the digital landscape. A storyteller at heart, Chris is a student of culture and is uniquely plugged into the reality that consumers and teams are expecting more from companies - more appreciation, more values, more meaning, and more purpose.
