A Christmas story
A collaborative Christmas story written by the Italian, Romanian and Greek students
Once upon a time, in a place without a name and a time without a date, it was a dark snowy night...and all the children were sleeping in their warm beds. But there was a little girl,named Alice, that was very sad and she couldn’t sleep: -“What’s the point of life?” she thought. “World is full of sadness and none is ever satisfied! Something has to be done!” With these thoughts in her mind, she fell asleep and she had a very strange dream: she was looking herself on the mirror. She had bigger ears and she was wearing a green and red costume.
-“Wow! I’m an elf!” she said happily. She looked around and she saw other elfs too, working and laughing together. Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice: -“HoHoHo! You must be Alice!”, the tall and fat guy said. -“You are.
..you are…lol...”
-“Yes Alice, I’m Santa Claus! I heard your problems and as it’s nearly Christmas, we will try to solve these problems together! Will you be my helper?” Alice woke up thrilled! She got up and started packing her stuff. She had to find Santa Claus in the North Pole and she had a long journey in front of her.
After she packed her things she got to the near bus station and bought a ticket to the northest point of the continent. The lady that was driving the bus offered our little girl a sit right next to her. Soon, the bus engine started and the great journey has just began.
Another boy was sitting in the last seat of the bus .. Seemed very rationale .. He was nailed his gaze at infinity.. Alice wondered what might have this boy, and got brave enough to sit beside him. Try having a conversation with him in order to understand what tortures him.. A strange dream he said and continued to have nailed the look of‌.. it was the same with her‌..
In front of the bus shows up a little elf crying. The bus pull up . Alice rushs down to him and asks: -What is wrong? Why are you crying? -I don't know where I am. I'm lost and I can't find my beloved teddy bear. -I will help you to find your teddy and your way home. Meanwhile, the boy got down from the bus too. His name is Billy. He heard their conversation and also wants to help. All 3 of them start now a trip full of surprises.
Suddenly the driver shouted ‘’Next stop..North Pole!’’, the doors closed, and the bus started… The three children were sitting at the last seats of the bus discussing about their families.. Each of them had a special story to narrate to the others.. The little elf started telling them about his lovely home, where he used to make toys everyday in order to make young children happy...Alice and Billy were listening to him like he was telling them a beautiful fairytale and were impatiently waiting to hear more stories about this magical place.. Alice was looking out the window and imagining how the life would be next to Santa Claus when suddenly.. -There’s a little girl on the street.. Stop!! she shouted the driver stopped and she went to talk to the little girl.. -Hello.. I am Alice, she said, me and my friend are heading to the North Pole.. Would you like to join us?
The little girl made few steps backw ards and said -Hi.. (with a frightened voice) what are you talking about..? -Please trust me.. Come with us! Alice said -But.. but what about my family? -We won’t be late.. come on.. What’s your name? -I’m Helen.. The two girls entered the bus and Alice introduced Helen to the other children.. The bus driver closed the door and they continued their trip.. The children have fallen asleep when they felt something really strange.. they felt a tense shaking like an earthquake and they all wake up terrified.. When they looked out of the window everything was completely white! The little elf crossed the bus and approached the driver..
- Miss driver, he said, are we there yet? My father would be really mad at me.. -Don’t worry honey...we’ll be there in a few hours but I’m sure Mr Claus will be really grateful when he sees all these great children who are with you… -You think so? he asked with a sweet voice.. -I’m sure honey.. Now go back to your friends and put your seat belts on because the most difficult part of our trip is coming.. Oh! Remember.. when you hear a slash look out the window… -Yes Yes…… then!!!!!!!!!!!

But when he returned to his friends, he heard a very suspicious discussion between to women…. -”We must do something immediately “ said the one woman -”Yes, Betty!!! The Santa Claus mustn’t help the poor children this year!! We will destroy this awful holiday...bye bye Christmas…. The little elf decided to follow them and prevent their dangerous plans before it was very late…
At one point the driver shouts: "next stop". The two women come down and the Elf follows without being seen by his friends. The two women as they walk they think the strategy to prevent Santa Claus help the poor children. Have thought about going to steal the sleigh and the reindeer of Santa Claus. After a lot of walking Street, see in the distance the cowshed where the reindeer… … .were waiting the Santa Claus in order to begin their trip…
The two women grabbed the reindeer and stole the sleigh without anybody noticed them apart from the little elf who began running to catch them… Unfortunately, the two insidious women noticed him…. -”A little elf followed us” she said!!!! -”Catch him now!! He will prevent our plans...We must kill him… -”Let ‘s lead him to this abandoned house… -”And what about the reindeer and the sleigh??? -”Follow me now and i will think something to do…” said the one woman!!!
The same time in the bus….
The two girls, Alice and Helen , noticed that the elf wasn’t there…. -”I believe that something has gone wrong…”said Alice -”Let’s get out of the bus at the next stop’’ said Helen restlessly!!! When the two girls got off terrible howling…

This screaming came from somewhere near… They were trying to recognize the voice when… Alice shouted … -”this voice….the little elf was in trouble !!! Run Helen!!! We must help before it’s late… -”Follow the voice.. It may lead us to our little friend…”said Helen
Be careful!!!” Alice grabbed the elf and Helen helped them to get away from the house… After the girls asked the elf what exactly happened and why he was there…The elf explained to them about two women’s terrible plans and about his thought that they had to prevent them. The three friends followed their steps and finally found the sleigh and the reindeer in a cave where the two women were laughing and cheering as they had managed to destroy Christmas….. The children thought about how to catch them when………. -”let’s escape the sleigh and the reindeer and after we will force them follow us until we arrive at Santa Claus’ house!!! said Alice -”I agree with you” said the little elf.
Fortunately everything went well and the two women were led to Santa Claus’ house where they confessed their plans and decided to accept anything so as to be forgiven by Santa Claus…. After Santa Claus began his long trip sharing gifts, smiles and happiness with children…. Our little friends decided to be friends forever and Alice helped the Santa Claus with his difficult trip.. Finally, Alice said…”Now I really understand the point of life!!! We will be satisfied only when we share our hearts with all the people around the world…. Ho ho ho…..
