LPGA 101: Women's Golf Intro

The Eglin Golf Course offers a four-class introduction to golf designed for women, by women! Your LPGAprofessional will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence you need to get out on the course. Take the first step to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf. Yacht Club Monthly Events
First & Third Fridays
The Eglin Yacht Club hosts regular social gatherings for its members and everyone interested in boating and diving activities to enjoy the company of their fellow enthusiasts. Family Nights on the first Friday of each month start at 6 p.m. and offer a family-friendly
cookout of freshly-grilled burgers, hot dogs, and all the fixin's for $7 per person. Kids under 5 eat FREE! Reservations are required.
Membership Nights on the third Friday of each month start at 6:30 p.m. and are for adults only (21+). Reservations are required and guests are welcome!

The Eglin Fitness Center hosts a Powerlifting Club on Saturdays at the Main Fitness Center. Join a community of like-minded lifters to share not only proper lifting techniques but also alternate fitness methods perfect for those looking to improve their fitness journey or to learn something new. Dodgeball Tournament
Thursday, February 16 | 3 PM
Get ready to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge again as the Eglin Fitness Center hosts an action-packed Dodgeball Tournament! Active duty personnel, spouses, retirees, dependents ages 16+and DoD civilians are invited to formteams of 10 (eight players, two alternates, at least one woman on each team) and compete against other teams in five-minute matches. Each match-up will be best two out of three games, and the tournament is single elimination. Registration is open through Friday, February 10, and the tournament bracket will be posted on Monday, February 13. Tournament registration is limited to 8 teams.

Can't get Rover to roll over? Eglin Outdoor Recreation's Basic Obedience Class is just what your dog needs! Classes are specialized for dogs over six months of age who have had no previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed.
Course sessions last five weeks, with classes held for a minimumof 5 and a maximumof 10 dogs. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $80. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough; owners are asked to bring their dog's shot record to the first class. Grab your four best clubs and compete in the Eglin Golf Course's Four-Club Tournament! Format is single player using 100%handicap on the Eagle Course. (Current GHINhandicap required.)

Eglin Golf Course is excited to announce new sessions of its "Future Stars" Golf Camp for youth ages 6-14! These fun and exciting Spring Break classes feature the U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway program, offering achievement and award-based guidance for developing the skills of young players at every level.

Book Buddies Story Time

All families of all sizes are invited to Book Buddies Story Time, every Thursday morning at the Eglin Library. Children and parents fromthe Eglin community are welcome to enjoy stories, singing, dancing, crafting, and all the fun of being together! Participation is FREEand no registration is required. Story time is essential for early learners especially, as it helps to introduce new words, sentence structures, and modes of communication, while also helping students to engage with new perspectives and practice socialization skills.

Kid's LEGO® Club

Children ages 5 and older are invited to participate in the Kid's LEGO® Club, held the first Saturday of select months at the Eglin Library. Sign-up is required! Slots are available for 20 children. Registration is first come, first served with a waiting list; notice of cancellation is requested.
Children will be welcomed to the LEGO® Club with a new theme each month and challenged to build their creation over the course of one hour. STEMprinciples and creative thinking will play a part in making each build a fun
and enriching time for every age! After the build hour and a short time of clean-up, each child will have opportunity to share his or her creation with the group, talk about it, and take photos. Then everyone's LEGO® builds will be displayed in the Library for the entire month! The Club's start time will be prompt to allow for maximumbuild time, so families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before 10 a.m. Parents/guardians must remain with their children for the duration of the programand may be asked to lend assistance when needed. 850-882-9308

Mardi Gras Trip to New Orleans

Navigating the Divorce Process & Your Money

Going through a divorce is difficult. The Eglin Military &Family Readiness Center can help with understanding the legal process as well as the financial considerations and implications associated with divorce. This workshop, which is a collaborative effort between the M&FRC and the Eglin Legal Office, aims to increase the awareness of resources and services available to its participants, while also helping to deescalate their stress levels. Eglin's Military & Family Readiness Center is excited to host Adulting 101, a selfenrichment workshop for young adults of any age, designed to help provide basic life skills that can greatly assist with navigating the daily challenges of modern adult life.

Parents' Night Out

Parents, catch a break once a month with the Eglin Child &Youth Services programfor parents —Parents' Night Out! Eglin's Child Development Center (CDC) offers childcare for $32 per child on a space-available basis. Children ages 6 weeks to 12 years are eligible for the program.
Reservations must be made by close of business on the Thursday before the event. All children must be registered and have a current shot record on file. No outside food or drink will be allowed with the exception of bottles for infants. Please advise staff of any allergies and/ or special needs during registration.
Assistance is available to eligible Air Force families through "Give Parents ABreak," a programsupported by the Eglin M&FRCand the Air Force Aid Society. Army families who are assigned to Eglin may check eligibility for and seek similar assistance through the Army Strong program.

Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) is a DoDfee assistance program for eligible families who cannot access military-operated child care due to distance or waitlists. With fee assistance, a portion of your child care costs is paid to offset the costs of community-based care—making it easier for families to afford quality care from local providers.
Dance Classes at the Youth Center Weekdays | Ages 3-13
The Eglin Youth Center is hosting dance classes on weekdays! Ballet, tap, and jazz classes are available for ages 3 to 13 with beginner and intermediate options on a weekly basis. FCC Providers Needed
Persons interested in a career as a Family Child Care (FCC) provider can obtain licensing through the Eglin FCCoffice and earn a potential monthly income of $4,500! Providers are needed both on and off base, offering care for a wide variety of needs, including hourly, part time, full time, evenings, weekends, special needs, and overnight care.
